I believe customer service has gotten a bad rap lately—but my experience at SmartStop Self Storage completely changed that.
After downsizing from a four-bedroom house to a one-bedroom apartment (after losing my partner of 16 years), I found myself needing a small storage unit for the things I simply didn’t have room for. I love my new apartment, but even with great closets, I needed a bit more space for peace of mind.
Searching online was overwhelming with too many options, so I decided to stop by SmartStop—and I’m so glad I did. That’s where I met Patty, who was exactly what I needed. She took the time to listen to my story, made thoughtful recommendations, and even walked me to see the unit in person.
Patty made the entire process seamless. Within a short time, I had rented the perfect unit to store my belongings. I now view the monthly cost as an investment in peace of mind. My home feels calm and uncluttered, and I still have access to everything I need—whether it’s my craft bins, holiday decorations, or even my golf clubs—all safe in a clean, climate-controlled space.

This storage unit has always been so helpful! I have been here for a couple years now & have always had a great experience and helpful staff, especially Jolene! She helped me with my lock when I forgot my keys and educated me on some tips at keeping my keys in useful areas so I don’t loose them!
Even gave me an envelope for them! Thank you Jolene!

Stay away from this facility. Managers are the most dishonest people. Listed storage for auction. Removed temper tag replaced with another one went through stuff taken all the good items. When we came to clean unit only trash was left. Acted weird trying to solve the situation to come clean if the situation telling us they will give deposit but keep auctioned amount so corporate doesn’t see that thefts work there. Still didn’t process our refund. Be cautious about this facility you easily can be trapped in similar situation with stolen items from auctioned unit. If you bid too high you will be left without money if you notice issue and refuse to clean unit which no longer contains anything valuable. Still trying to reach them so thefts process refund. Will report them if not solved this week.

It's not that good. I made a mistake. But I'm busy and I didn't have time to do as much research on this place. Now that I know I will never choose them again. I am currently looking to make different arrangements for storage.
