December 2023 by Nisha A.
December 16, 2023 We are taking this opportunity to express our complete dissatisfaction and supreme discontentment with our experience at Tire Choice Auto Service Center in Riverview, Hwy 301 location. I brought my car into Tire Choice days after an oil change. I was told my vehicle needed the oil pan gasket and the main seal repaired which totaled $987. Instinctively, we anticipated a diagnostics test was completed before the repairs commenced. That did NOT happen!! The next day, all the warning lights reappeared. We brought the vehicle back to Tire Choice since they warranty their work for one year. They offered a full diagnostics on my vehicle this time for $118. On 16 Dec 23, we were informed there were completely different issues with my car that weren't covered under the warrantied work they previously done which were unrelated to the engine oil leak totaling $1,100. Unquestionably appalled, I declined the service! The master mechanic stated an engine oil test is needed because my car isn't leaking oil, it's consuming oil. After the repair, he said I'd have to bring the car in every week to have the oil consumption monitored! This isn't practical for my family!! Aside from that truth, why wasn't this test done originally? Tire Choice's mechanic also said I'd need a new engine eventually. Again, I refused service and signed to have my car released to me. I pointed to have the Tire Choice employee park my car next to my truck. He literally zoomed past me and parked elsewhere on the Tire Choice's property. When I tried to start the car (push to start), it was dead and the driver's side door wouldn't lock with the key fob. We tried several times to start the car and to lock the doors, to no avail. Laura, the Customer Service Representative, showed compassion by coming outside to ask if she could assist us with a jump. Our battery in the car is only 4 months old so we were suspicious about the vehicle not starting and the key fob not locking all the doors. It's important to know the other Tire Choice employees didn't bother to assist despite the fact we had our 1-year old and 4-year old with us the entire time. I added oil to the car and thanks to Laura, we were able to get the car started and returned home 2 hours after this experience. I found your employee Misty to be uncivil and discourteous. I wonder if it's because I showed no interest in her efforts to upsell products/components I didn't need. Thank you for your attention!

Tire Choice was able to do what Goodyear, which is right around the corner from them, wouldn't and claim that they couldn't do. That was my 1st and last time to Goodyear. Tire Choice has gained a new customer and free advertisement because I've most definitely being telling people about my experience with both places.

New to the area and had two nails in my tires. So i did my research for a tire shop. Reviews everywhere was pretty bad so i just took a risk on Tire Choice with them being the closest to me, so in my head if they take too long i can atleast walk home. Well that wasnt needed l, came in told them my issue. They told me i was next car up. Staff pulled me out lobby to speak on the nails in my tire situation...great update , moving fwd , was done with my truck within a hour. But the mechanic notice my tire sensors wasnt working, i told him my dealership messed them up everytime one by one till none was working but offered me $160 ewch for new tire sensors so i declineand just been riding worried for weeks with nails...he then asked would i like to check them & i agreed. Came back telling he got 3 back to working and one was completely gone which i knew already so there we built trust & told me the cost was $79 for a brand new sensor . Lets do it! Was there for 2 hrs top, would have been hour if he didnt take the extra observance & needed services i been neglecting because of a dealership trying to jip me for money

With all disrespect that ball headed manager or supervisor, or whoever . Is a disgrace for this company. I went there for oil change November 1 noticed November 2 they didn’t change the mileage on tag of when I’m supposed to come back for the next oil change which is done everywhere else I went in and it just simply asked to change the tag so I can remember when I reach the mileage to come back and change get the oil change done. I was told we don’t do that. Change it yourself. Now I was supposed to buy two new tires from that store. You’ve lost my business and not only that I will not recommend anyone to come to this location. If this is how you deal with people and think you can keep their business, you have something else coming. The mechanics that work on my car was very nice but that gentleman. I wish I had caught his name He’s a disgrace he doesn’t have customer service skills.

Great Experience. Laura was very polite and helpful and they were able to get me taken care quickly. I've taken my car here many times and the service is always friendly and professional, and everyone I've had service with has been incredibly helpful.

This store has taken great care of both my father and I, providing a great experience for both of us. They serviced my fathers rental car, free of charge noting "just remember us when you need tires" indeed he has! Just this morning, the Tire Choice team repaired my tire (on Mazdaspeed 3) within 90 minutes of my arrival without a prior appointment. This after my car sat the day before in the lot of >>another local tire shop<< for 6.5 hours and never being serviced . Tire Choice has earned another customer, and I have already scheduled my next visit for my wife's car.

I made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. My appointment was for 10am. I dropped off my vehicle at 9:30am. I checked on my car at 2:15pm and was told that I would receive a call when my vehicle was ready. I never received a call. I entered the shop at 6:30pm (they close at 7pm) and was told my vehicle was next to enter the bay. They had my vehicle for 9 hours and didn’t even move my car. I asked my keys and left. A complete waste of my time. I won’t return to any Tire Choice.

These guys were great. My van needed a part not normally stocked, and they were flexible and worked hard to find it faster and cheaper than initially seemed possible. Positive, friendly, professional. Would recommend.

Just purchased a 1998 Jeep Wrangler and had my first disappointing experience at Discount Tires! After patiently waiting for two hours, they finally inspected my brakes. The associate there told me that I needed to replace all the front brakes, including swapping out the calibers, replacing the brake pads, and getting new rotors. They handed me an estimate of a staggering $1400, way beyond my budget! But I wasn't going to let this ruin my day. I decided to take matters into my own hands and do the work myself. After buying the necessary parts, I started working on the brakes. And guess what I found? The brake pads I removed were in perfect condition, looking brand new! Both calibers were also in great shape, needing no replacement at all. Only the rotors needed some cutting. I couldn't believe it! What a letdown Discount Tires turned out to be.

Super happy with the service!! Both of my tires on the right side were going flat daily. I figured it was the tire sensors. Nope. I had a nail in both tires. Laura and Karl made sure I was in and out in no time flat. I appreciate the both of them!! They were friendly, funny, kind, and fair!!! I will be back!! Thank you

I brought my Mercedes in earlier today to check on a slow leak. The Mavis Tire place down the street was a 3 hour wait with an appointment. I dropped off the car and before I finished lunch down the clock the tire was fixed for under $40. Very kind and polite people there as well. Thanks

Dropped my car off to have the rear DRIVER SIDE tire replaced because it had a hole in it. Came back 3 hours later to find out that they had replaced the rear PASSENGER SIDE tire. Left the vehicle with them and came back 4 hours later to see that the swapped out the rear drivers side rim with the rear passenger side rim. So the tire with the hole in it is still on the rear passenger side.I explained to the associate the issue and requested that they put my perfectly good tire back on the vehicle and actually replace the tire with the hole in it. It was 5:30PM at this point and I had requested that it be done by 7PM (closing time) and was told by the technician “not going to happen”.Zero accountability, no acknowledgment that they messed up, and no apology.

I have been to your store at 10742 Big Bend Rd., Riverview, Fl. Three times for the same problem. A man named David helped me through this frustrating time. He had the kindness, knowledge, and patience to help ease my exasperation. He was very professional and took whatever was needed to resolve my issue. I know he is definitely an asset to your company and the reason I would come back and would also refer my family and friends to see David if they needed such services. Thank you again, David. Sincerely, Rachel Colvin

Saturday night I made an appointment for Sunday 9:30 am to have my car checked. I was there like 10 minutes ealy. When I got to talk to the man on the desk I told him I had made an appointment for 9:30am on line. He asked what was wrong with the car and I told him. He then went to get my car's information and told me that it would take several hours before they got to my car because there were other clients ahead of me and there were only 2 people working I told him I did not understand why I would have to wait when I had made the appointment to avoid having to wait. I asked him how many people were in front of me and he said 2 so I told him I would wait, since it seemed to me I should have been next as I had an appointment. He then said something to the effect of how I had gotten the appointment, indicating like I should not have been given one as Saturdays and Sundays they take walkins and appointments are given for weekdays. I told him there is something wrong with their system if it should not be given appointments for the weekends. I told him I had confirmation on my phone of the appointment. He again went to the worshop and when he came back he said all he could do is give me an appointment for Monday because there was no mechanic working and he only had one guy and he was only doing oil changes. Seriously I have to believe that this man thought I was stupid. All of his information leads me to believe that he did not know his job or that he did not want to provide the service to me which I do not understand why when I was not yelling at him nor argumentive. Please I desserve an answer to why I was mistreated this way. I have been a customer for years but this treatment really is not accetable to me.
