They get one star only because none was not an option. First I called for fuel and had to prepay. OK not a big deal, but it took around two months to get here. Then the delivery guy said my tank needed to be replaced and did not deliver. I was a little upset as I bought the tank from them about 4 years ago. When I called to see about replacement costs I was told that they were scheduling someone to come out and repair the tank. I went out and looked at the cover of the tank. (It’s an underground tank). And decided I would just go with their recommendation but wanted to know the cost. After talking for 30 minutes I just agreed to keep the appointment they set up and talk to the rep that came out.
When he got here, I told him I thought it was prudent to go with their assessment and get a new tank. He told me it would be about $9000. He could only estimate but was fairly confident in his estimate. He offered another option of an above ground tank for just under $2000. He said he could do an estimate and get the ball rolling. I agreed. $1900 and change. Don’t like it but ok
Then I get a bill for the appointment they set up not me, for an estimate that I was not told there would be a cost for and to top it off the used the funds I originally prepaid for the fuel with so I couldn’t even argue the bill.
Finally they set an appointment for the tank install and one one working day before they are to install they send me a email saying I am responsible for digging the trench to the secondary regulator. I am pissed because that wasn’t mentioned before and the email didn’t say how wide or deep the trench needed to be. I dug it and spit the gas line to the water heater. Well shit. Now I had a day to go without propane. It could be worse, the appointment was the following day. Well it was worse because after they never showed for the appointment. That was on the 15th I called multiple times and was told they were sorry and would elevate my ticket but it’s 730pm on the 27th.
This sucks, they suck. Not a fan right now

Terrible customer service. The local office won't even take incoming calls. All contacts are either automated or hired answering services, complete waste of time. Constant missed appointments zero communication, go elsewhere!

Horrible customer service. Saying they would come out, I stayed home that day and they never showed. I’ve been without service for weeks and now their soonest appointment is 2 weeks out.. ridiculous!

My propane tank has been locked because they are concerned there is a leak. The soonest a technician can come out is 3 weeks. So no hot water, no stove, no dryer... for 3 weeks. I don't understand how this is acceptable.

A few months after contacting their office and requesting to be taken off their route/auto fill (I owned the tank), they filled it up with nearly 400 gallons, and then only offered excuses. Not sure why, after something like 2 years, they sent me a request to review them. I thought, okay!

Tank leaking after fill in December; Tank was NOT inspected at/before fill, though we expected an inspection because it had been more than 5 years since last fill and someone from Amerigas "looked" at the tank in December before it was filled. We smelled gas, contacted Amerigas, called 911, fire department confirmed leak at regulator. Amerigas replaced regulator. We asked for at least a partial credit for lost gas and were denied because we own the tank, despite Amerigas personnel involvement in the problem/lack of inspection. VERY UNHAPPY. We've spent $1300 and now have the same amount of gas we had when we requested the fill.EDIT: It’s been two weeks since AmeriGas posted; I’ve heard NOTHING from them. Where’s the promised call/email?

We completely depleted our gas tank on a Friday afternoon, and made the call to AmeriGas. They were able to come to us on the following Monday and fill our tank. We’re grateful for the prompt response.

I've been trying to get an Amerigas 500 Gallon propane tank removed from my property for the last year. It was left by the previous owner. The overseas phone center keeps assuring me someone will contact me to schedule a pickup... that call never comes.Again, I've been trying to get this resolved for months. The tank is corroded and is starting to pose a safety hazard.

I have had nothing but problems with your company and its customer associates. From gas leaking out on 2-different occasions, to multiple and current billing issues, over 6-hrs on the phone with minimal results from 3rd party over seas customer service etc. I would love a real account manager to call me and get this figured out once and for all.

I scheduled service twice the first time no one came out I was home the whole day and they charged me $99 I rescheduled. They said they would call me and set up an appointment seven days later they showed up at my house when I was not home so far, I have not gotten the repair I requested I requested that they replace the shut off valve to the house because it is rusted and can’t be turned off. Should there be an emergency? I also requested that a device be put on my tank so that I could monitor the gas usage from the app no one has reached out to me. No one has called me and I’m being billed $99 for service. I did not get so I am very disappointed.

Phone call took forever to complete. Could not understand the foreign person on the other end of the phone. No American employees to talk to. Ridiculous. Once a year rip off of $100 to rent a tank so I can fill up with overpriced gas.
