Very kind and patient staff. Good service and communication. It was also a quick visit, didn’t have to wait very long. I would definitely recommend this place. They took care of my dog when I was panicking and assured me my dog would be in good care throughout the whole process.

Very helpful...had a injured osprey and had no idea who to even call because of the time of night. They got us in contact with a wildlife rescue who was able to help us.

I typically only give positive reviews and avoid giving negative reviews. However, folks that love their pets need to make informed decisions. I will not return to this place ever again. We were informed upon arrival to expect a 3 to 4 hour wait time. Because we had taken our little dog here on several other occasions, we decided to wait as our dog injured her leg and it was 6 pm on a Saturday evening. The front office staff never seemed to care about the people waiting, it took us 4.5 hours to get into a back room. It was not that busy but yet it seemed that they were very under staffed. When you care for your pet, you only want the best. We never got the feeling that any of the staff cared about the pets or the people that brought them in. Fortunately for my dog, her leg was not broken but she had to endure the pain for over 5 hours until she was finally treated and given pain medication. She was never triaged when we arrived to determine the order to be seen. Hopefully Dr. Thomas Smith whose medical certificates were hanging on the wall (not the vet we saw) will read this and make changes or provide training to be more professional, more compassionate, and better organized to be more efficient or hire more staff.

First time there felt welcomed. But very two faced egotistic and arrogant individuals work there that call themselves management, I had a payment arrangement set up for some of a balance I owed. And a few emergencies in life involved major surgeries with myself and also 2 family members.Prior to the payment arrangement As they pushed you to do trupanion and trupanion didn’t cover anything, so during the process of appealing trupanion with trupanion, a payment arrangement couldn’t be set up because the visits there were showing pending review with trupanion. One of the workers there actually said to me that they will never care for my dog again because I do not have a payment arrangement with them for my balance which the balance wasn’t known because of trupanion would have paid everything then I would have only owed 15 percent When I kept asking an associate there what do I owe and how can we set something up she said you need to wait til we see how much trupanion rejects. Their professionalism does not exist.Yes one visit which was an ultrasound with sedation was over $ 2,200 absolutely ridiculous!!!! They take advantage of animal lovers with their pricing. So here we are moving forward, I spoke to someone last week not naming names and she is taking a payment from me on the 10th, she did not document it. I spoke to them at the office the 2 months prior to let them know I do not have 2 months of payments. So I call after 12 am and get the manger on the phone on 2/3/24 and she had such a rude rude attitude she does not care that my dog is in an er she refused to send his records. She definitely needs to know she is not better than anyone else. She literally rejected to send my dogs records from his visits. With all that families go through and with me in the hospital for 4 days from an emergency surgery and two close family members having major surgeries I missed work and it set me back and I continued to let this animal Specialty facility know that I missed 2 payments as I was missing the payments. I kept in touch with them and they approved that it was ok. So here I am tonight I drove 3 hours to University of Florida ER for my dog and they called animal speciality for my records of my dog and animal specialty got on the phone with me and the so called manager tonight the arrogant and egotistic loser she spoke down to me stating there are no notes and I spoke to no one because of that accusing me to be a liar and she said she will not send the records and here my dog has major major issues for me to come to the university of florida. She knows who I am talking about as she reads this and she should just quit because it’s people like that who will not make it far in life and are so arrogant and she needs to look in the mirror and see her personality and selfishness to a animal is someone no one would like to have care for their pet.If your pet gets out near her and another woman that works there be careful your pet might not come out alive. These are individuals running the front office that are Rude, Immature and unprofessional with such horrible personalities.

While no on has the “best” experience having to bring their suddenly paralyzed cat to an ER vet on a Sunday night, Dr. McGrath and her vet tech were amazing. We were see right away and had a diagnosis almost immediately. They took the time to speak with us about the condition, answer all of of questions and walked us to to back to see our cat before we left for the night. The staff called me first thing in the AM with an update on the current situation. Dr.Smith performed some addtional tests and called and throughly explained the results. We showed up unannounced on Monday after work but we had just missed Dr. Smith. His vet tech, Mary, (I’m sorry I forgot your name if it’s not Mary it was a hard day) was very pleasant. She talked to us about the condition and treatment options. She watched us ugly cry, comforted us and answered all of our questions. She was in there for about 30-40 mins. She also brought in our cat for us to spend some time with him.We ultimately had to make the tough decision to eunthize our cat, which they were able to accommodate while we were there. They gave us time to morn the loss of our pet and didn’t rush us out of the room, which I reallly appreciated.Hopefully I don’t have to bring another pet here suddenly but if the need arises I would not hesitate to come back.

The wait may be long but the service and empathy and care is so worth it. These people are truly a blessing to the ones who need the most. I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone. It was worth the 40 minute drive and 7 hours spent there. This place is a god send. They are truly doing gods work. The only place I’ll go for emergencies

We took our cat Smokey for his emergency, and they took excellent care of him. I mean, honestly, it's been night and day difference in behavior and you can tell he was treated properly. The doctors were amazing, and informative. The nurses and staff were so kind. I will definitely be back if there is another problem, and recommend this hospital to those in need of a good one. Amazing!

The staff are very compassionate and caring. On black Friday we had to bring our gravelly ill cat in . Every one from the front desk to the back staff were awesome . Unfortunately we had to make a end of life decision, but I'm so thankful it was here . They made him so comfortable. My son and myself were treated with compassion, understanding , and respect. I thank you all so much .

So thankful for the staff here, they’re wonderful. I suspected my cat had a urinary tract blockage, I was worried sick and brought him to ASEH and they were able to triage him immediately and take him back to be seen. The facility is clean and well staffed, and I immediately felt calmer with him in their care. Dr. Zak was very thorough and explained everything really well, he took an xray and explained what the image was showing. My cat was going to stay with them for up to 2 days so they could monitor him after unblocking his urinary tract, he ended up only needing to stay one day and they refunded me the amount I paid for a second day of ICU without me even having to ask about it. The front desk staff were so kind and made me feel at ease. I’m so grateful they were able to help and I’m really appreciative that we have such a great 24 hr emergency vet so close by. My cat is doing great and is back to his usual self!
