poor service after testing my Hayward chlorine generator and finding it was defective - went 2 months than to find out need serial number on invoice - produced invoice with serial number now was told will be 2-3 months for a replacement - poor service and follow up for a factory authorized Hayward dealer -

The problem is some of the staff are awesome but the ones that are miserable really bring the place down. These young guys that think they're too good to be there need to find something else. This is a busy location too

I wish I could give zero stars. Writing this for my parents who spent thousands of dollars having their pool done, not once, but twice by this company. After they did it the first time my parents were very disappointed and were hoping for them to fix it, but now it’s even worse. Every day they have to look at the disgusting job that left the pool looking worse than before it was done in the first place. Black mold, yellow grout, and discoloration due to the lack of effort put in by Pinch A Penny. Spend your money elsewhere before you have to do your pool over again 3 times like my parents.

Thank you Matthew for the excellent knowledge and advice for the new Filter. Matthew went above and beyond to install the filter and auto-chlorine feeder properly. The Jandy was a good fit for me to manage. Thanks again. This store is always coming to my rescue.

Pinch A Penny resurfaced my community pool back in 2018 and did a fantastic job I was able to finally use the pool Tony was absolutely though and was there every step of the job to make sure everything was perfect and their staff were always on top of it and very friendly and professional the pool still looks great to this day. Thank you all

I have been a Pinch a Penny customer for 15+ years and this week I had to call for tech service due to a leak on my connector pipe. Mattew came and saw that I also had a leak on my pool valve. Which he thinks is just an O-Ring seal problem. He was able to fix both leaks and also explain to me my other options. Matt is very knowledgeable, honest and super friendly. Pinch a Penny is really out here taking care of their customers.

This place is the worst. They came to my house looked at my pool and quoted me a price for the monthly rate. Then we agreed the pool would be service on Thursday or Friday. It’s documented on the report if Thursdays have to be after 12 PM if they come on Friday, anytime works long story short, they couldn’t hold up to the end of the bargain. They want to come Thursday morning 9 AM while my lawn service maintenance crew is cutting the grass after we agreed to be after 12 on Thursday. They took my monthly payment and then said we are sorry we cannot service your pool anymore. I will be getting a lawyer. Everything was recorded on three different cameras.

I've used Pinch a penny a few times now for their free water testing, which has been great. Everyone at the store has always been very friendly and helpful. Makes doing all the chemistry maintenance myself so much easier. But recently, I cleaned my filter, and no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to stop leaking when I put it all back together again. I made a tech appointment, and their service tech Matthew was great! Not only did he get my annoyingly stubborn filter to stop leaking, but he also took the time to answer every question I had. He also removed and cleaned my salt cell for me (it was stuck, and I'd been unable to get it off for months). He was super friendly, and made sure to answer every question I had too. He'll definitely be my first call next time anything goes wrong with my pool!

Pinch a Penny technician, Matthew Karolides, has been instrumental in getting my pool operating very smoothly. Expertly installed a new motor to Hayward Super Pump as well as setting up the pool controls that allowed the variable speed pump to operate at different speeds via commands sent to the pump. His invaluable directives on valves' operation allowed for the efficient operation of the creepy crawler in the pool. He is without doubt very knowledgeable with regards to all aspects of pool equipment and pool operation.

We’ve been using pinch a penny since we moved to Florida and had a pool. Matt K. came over to help us with some issues we are having with our pool. He was very patient and easy going. He explained everything thoroughly. Overall great experience!
