The new manager Amelia is absolutely amazing! Extremely helpful with such a positive attitude. Not very often you meet people like her!! This woman needs a RAISE!!!

Amellia is the BEST manager i have ever met at a dollar general. I go to many and she gives by far the best customer service. She's so sweet and genuine. I will forever go to her store knowing she will be there.

I shop at this Dollar General often because I work near by in Ruskin. EVERYTIME I have an encounter with DIANA, on of the store associates, she’s always rude. The first instance I had with her was a few months ago. I went into the store to purchase a few things and proceed to self checkout because there wasn’t anyone at the front to help me. I use the DGapp and I also do a little couponing on my free time so when I make purchases I try to make sure they are all linked to my phone number and DG account for rewards/coupons on future purchases. I entered my phone number incorrectly at the self checkout and had to call for help. Diana was working that day and assisted with resetting the self checkout so that I could re enter my phone number again. Mistakenly, I entered my phone # incorrectly again the second time. Instead of calling Diana for help the second time, who was nowhere in sight again..I took my things and went to the other open self checkout register and checked myself out with the correct phone number and I was finally able to apply my coupon. Left the first checkout register with an open transaction since there was nobody there to tell & I was headed to work in a rush. Upon leaving the store, DIANA comes out and says “ma’am your transaction didn’t go through” i responded telling her that I used the other self checkout register and completed the transaction since I entered my phone incorrectly and there wasn’t anyone around again to help. Diana asked for my receipt. At this point I’m outside of the store in the parking. If someone was at the front of the store they would have known EXACTLY what happened but instead I’m accused of stealing pretty much. I show my receipt and she tells me to have a nice day and walks back in the store. No apology, just rude all together. I had a few words for her and went to work! The second time I went in looking for cold brew iced coffee that are usual in the refrigerated section. Diane was there at the coolers looking as if she was restocking so I decided to ask her if maybe she has some that needed to be unboxed or confirm that there was none. First of all, she clearly didn’t know what a cold brew was and was uninterested in helping. Her response was simply “if we have it, it’ll be in one of these coolers” ok fine. I walked off. Checked out asked another associate who’s always friendly and helpful about if they had cold brew or not and he immediately knew and told me it was a popular item and that they were supposed to be on the truck that delivered the following day. Fast forward, TODAY— 3/26 I ended up having the pleasure of Diana checking me out today since no self checkout lanes were open/working(?). I’m sure she was thrilled to actually have to work. I went in to purchase a nail clipper and a mtn dew. As stated above, I shop here often and am apart of the rewards program. I proceed to enter my phone number as Diana rang up my two items. After typing about 6 digits the screen to enter my phone number disappeared and I was prompted to pay. I told Diana I wanted to enter my phone and she replied back saying “nothing that I purchased was on sale” who said anything was on sale? I wanted to make sure my transactions are linked to my phone number so that it shows in my app. Sometimes DG sends random $3 of $15 coupons etc and I wanted this purchase to count toward my activity on the app/account. I got half way through explaining this to her and she cut me off saying she was resetting it so that I could finish entering my phone number. I AM SO SICK OF HER RUDE & NASTY ATTITUDE! If she doesn’t want to work in customer service or work at all for that matter.. Please stay home! She’s never pleasant and always seems unwilling to help. This store has never been the issue but the employee DIANA makes this place a 1/5 stars! Get rid of her now. She’s definitely a bad apple and makes the whole place trash. Not that DG is fancy to begin with..

The parking lot stays absolutely trashed. It’s sad the amount of trash that’s always around this store. The tree limbs they cut down over a month ago are still piled up right at the front door.

We close earlier than advertised be aware doors will be locked at least 15 minutes before closing time of 10pm.
