While Shell Point Marina may look picturesque at first glance, the experience quickly deteriorates once you need any form of customer service. The marina is run by an extremely authoritarian and money-driven staff member, , who seems intent on nickel-and-diming every customer. Basic services that should be complimentary, like using a work rack, come with exorbitant fees—over $30a day,regardless of whether any work is actually done. The sole mechanic is overwhelmed, leading to frustratingly extreme long wait times for any repairs.
In addition to the poor service, there’s a palpable sense of being taken advantage of at every turn. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority, and the overall atmosphere is one of discomfort and resentment. It’s a shame , but the poor management and exploitative practices make it impossible to recommend.

Absolute gem of a find in the Tampa Bay Area. Great service, always prompt and friendly staff. Love having this as my boat “home”. Keep up the great work!

- UPDATED REVIEW - The staff (Melia particularly) is solid which is why I am at least giving them 1 star. However - others here tend to hide behind contracts when they damage your vessel multiple times, and then say its your responsibility to contact your insurance company and file the appropriate claim for repairs.
I didn't hire an incompetent forklift driver who's damaged multiple boats, including mine twice. I'm also not responsible for gross negligence on behalf of a company who thinks a contract makes them invincible. I'm not the only customer who's had issues - glad I'm moving to Riverview. Enjoy the conversations with my attorney.
Only reason I would ever dock here is the proximity to the Gulf and I'm an avid fisherman. Unfortunately, I'd trust my 23 year old nephew in a forklift lifting my boat before I'd trust these folks. Never again. Office staff needs to learn customer service.

These guys are fantastic to work with. Meleta is a great manager. Always responsive and cordial.

Very well kept and spotless marina the staff are helpful and friendly if you are looking at getting work done on your boat or just need a nice place to keep it they have dry storage and wet slips I'm very impressed

My husband got a boat and we needed a marina of course. Shellpoint had a fast easy sign up process. We were out of town (within a week of signing up) and we got a call that we didn’t tie the boat down properly. So we panicked but before we could they reassured us that they went out and secured our boat and provided extra rope (no charge). How great is that and they have been working diligently to help us with repairs through the mechanic. So far what a great experience.
