“The Dollar General on Oakhurst Road in Largo is absolutely awesome! The staff is wonderful, Michelle is very helpful, pleasant, and just amazing. She makes you feel like family! Cindy, Dominic and all the staff at this store make me coming back as often as I can. They definitely go above and beyond every time I am in the store. I just cannot say enough good things about the staff at this store. Just incredible!!”

“I went here to buy big huge bag of dry dog food that my dog eats. Shelves were empty. I’m disabled and it’s difficult for me to get out and drive to store to begin with so I was distressed that I’d now need to go to another location. I asked employee, Heather, if she’d check in back for unstocked new shipments and she gladly stopped what she was doing and returned with the bag I needed! “Amazing compared to my other option two blocks away AVOID:Family Dollar their store is always a cluttered mess has smell of a pet store or better yet its likely odor of RODENTS infestation.Specifically SMELLED of rodent matter!!! “I love Dollar Trees, but this is the best one we have visited. We are in from out of state and needed some snacks and toiletry items and they had tons of great options. Banana Boat sunscreen $1.25 for 3 oz (it is $12 for 7oz at the grocery), Harry and David’s flavored coffee, tons of great cosmetic items, etc. the staff was helpful when we needed to locate something. I highly recommend this store!”

“This is the cleanest store around. The freezer section is excellent and so neat that you could find a needle in a haystack. And your employee Mike went into the back to find something I needed that wasn't stocked and went above a beyond for me. Please give him some type of kudos because even when he works the register he is kind and making it enjoyable to shop there. Too bad he doesn't work more offend.”

“I stoped by the dollar general to pick up just a few last minute things for the holidays. Super stressed out and tired as I’m sure everyone is this time of year, and then I got to meet their lovely employee Josh. He was so upbeat, cheerful, and helpful. He defines holiday spirit. After I checked out he noticed a stalled out car in front of the store, and after making sure the registers were covered he and another employee helped push the car into safety in a spot, and he joyfully went right back to work. I feel the Dollar general is lucky to have such a positive and hard working employee. The holiday season is difficult for everyone especially this year but he was able to bring a smile to my day. I will definitely be returning because of his uplifting attitude.”

“First time in here today. Exceeded my expectations from wht I have seen in the past on these stores. Yeah no fresh produce in this food desert, but that is high loss. Could use some frozen vegetables at least. Certainly similar to the crowded lanes in Walmart but man its close. Not bad. The selection was decent and no problem. Give this a 4 star for something left in this desolate part of St Pete.”

“Cashier was very nice, helpful.smiled.Store was decent, low on merchandise, but that may be due to inventory?Trash cans outside at entry were so full they were over flowing.I reccomend they be changed out at least 2 times a day. It makes the whole plaza look bad.$ store is a nice neighborhood store, spiff it up.Empty trash.”

“I absolutely love the manager there (Don) as well as the assistant manager (Doug) they are both very hard workers but also make me laugh on a regular basis. I use to live near the DG Don worked at before he was transferred to this store. When he was transferred I was so sad to see him go. Lucky for me I moved a couple months after he was transferred and am now by his store again. Even more luck when I heard Doug was also transferred here. I give Don and Doug a lot of credit that's for sure. There is a lot that needs to be done in that store in terms of stocking the shelves BUT you've only got so many people that work there. Ave unfortunately there are people who will work the register and then when they're not busy just stand around rather than finding something to do. Not everyone is like that but there are a few. And the reason they do it is because they know they can. They know that it's hard to get people to work these days and that they need all the help they can get. Therefore they take advantage of the situation to the FULLEST!!”

“I hadn’t been to this Family Dollar store since before the virus and was pleasantly surprised by how orderly the store appeared. Clothes were neatly organized on the racks, instead of strewn about the floor like before. Your staff, a friendly helpful woman named Ruthy helped me find exactly what I needed by walking me back to the correct isle instead of just sending me to look for myself. Employees like her, giving good customer service, is what brings customers back to your store. Please let management what a gem they have in Ruthy !!”

“This is my neighborhood store and I'm here at least 3 times a week sometimes. The staff has gotten to know me and my family and even recognize my son and his likes at local restaurants, because they're your neighbors too. They're also probably overworked and underpaid. If you're just stopping in and they're a little frazzled, please don't base your impression off one visit. I guarantee regular customers would say something different because they truly care.”

“Love the Dollar Tree!This store is my favorite because of your friendly and helpful staff. Danny, Kelly and Sabrina were working on the registers and greeting folks as they entered the store on 12/08/22 and made my shopping experience a delight.
