Put a deposit on a room back in 11/2024 for a 10/25 stay. The cancelled my room in July 2025 because of renovations. I’ve contacted them multiple times in an attempt to get my deposit back. It’s September and still no response or money refunded.

I recently had the honor of doing hair and makeup for a wedding at Bellwether Beach Resort, and it’s an experience that will stay with me for a long time. From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the modern elegance and peaceful energy of the space. Getting the bride ready in one of their beautiful suites, surrounded by soft lighting and such a calm vibe, felt so special. It was one of those days where everything just flowed perfectly.

I’m writing this quite delayed, but my surprise engagement/engagement party was here March 2024 and everyone involved was beyond amazing. The location, slightly retro beachy vibes, and staff was 10/10 . Room layouts are a bit odd, but memorable and clean and bright. What really made the difference was the service during the surprise engagement party on the rooftop after the proposal- the staff helped set up signs, and set apart a big area for us to enjoy and the food/drinks/dj/ambiance was everything I could have asked for. They made sure we were all taken care of, checked in frequently and ensured the drinks were flowing and everyone was having a good time. I will remember it for the rest of my life!

Horrible experience with this hotel. If I could rate 0 stars I would. I booked my room back in May of 2024 for a wedding, all $800 worth. Due to being hit by hurricane Milton, the hotel had to cancel my reservation a month before the wedding in October of 2024, leaving me nearly $1000 out of pocket. I’ve contacted the hotel via email since they won’t answer their phone “due to hurricane repairs”. It is now mid March of 2025 and I’m still trying to receive my refund, this has been going on for about 6 months now. I’m extremely frustrated and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeing as they stole from me. Absolutely criminal.

I am beyond disgusted with this resort. They took my deposit in July 2024, however, upon cancelling my reservation in December 2024, i have still yet to receive my refund. I am told that the delay is due to the insurance claim - they accepted my deposit, and I deserve my refund. They are providing no timeline and have yet to reply to subsequent attempts to contact. A terrible way to do business with little ethics.

My wife and I stayed here for our second anniversary and it was fabulous. From our room, to the beach was fewer than 5 minutes. Their back door opens up immediate to a pool, and pool access immediately to the beach, with cabanas available (if you’re up early enough to get one). Restaurants were everywhere. We were able to walk only 5-7 minutes to a delicious place for dinner down the road. Furthermore, their coffee downstairs is so good! We also enjoyed the wonderful restaurant right outside the hotel which is right on the beach, how cool! A great place to put your feet in the sand and enjoy good food. We had a blast.

We were supposed to have a wedding there but the hurricane destroyed it so we had to move it to Hotel Flor which was nightmare. Amalfi was great but we had an issue with one of the vendor who refused to refund us as he could not offer any service due the hurricane , Bellweather promised us they will help us with this issue but they despaired and never responded to my emails or messages, so unprofessional and disappointment. Defiantly not recommend it .

I made a reservation for this coming March last April, and paid a hefty deposit. I had to cancel my reservation due to a change in event date. It has been over two months and I have not been refunded my deposit!
It is impossible to speak with anyone and emails are answered with a standard response of “we are working on it”!
Beware of making reservations at this hotel-they do not honor their refund policy!

Our January 2025 wedding reception was cancelled due to the hurricanes. The hotel told us we would be refunded for the three payments we made. Then they told us their bank accounts were “frozen” and it would be a few weeks. Then they stopped responding to any form of contact.

We had the most beautiful wedding at Bellwether Hotel last year. Bellwether is our favorite spot in St Pete - between the Bongos beach bar, pool, beach, etc. you have everything you need. Our guests had an amazing time. The venue was easy to work with and did everything they could to accommodate us during our event. We were on the first floor for our wedding and loved having both the indoor and outdoor space. The food, views, ceremony, and everything was just perfect thanks to Bellwether. We love this hotel!

A dated hotel but had everything we needed for a laid back vibe. Service was good and we really enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere!
We’ve been back recently and found many nice upgrades including a modern and stylish lobby. Always a friendly crew to greet us and an easy going feel. Glad they’re here a SPB and hoping for the best outcome of Storm Milton!

Not terrible, but this is not a 4 star hotel, def not worth the money, 3 star hotel at best, rooms are ok, somewhat updated, hallways are nasty, broken elevator for extended time, only one was available, not ideal

My husband and I recently went to the area to get married and wanted to splurge on a nice room so we stayed here in an oceanfront room. We were on the 7th floor and the views alone made it worth the price. It was breathtaking!
All the staff were incredibly friendly. Bongos has a great vibe and kind, funny bar staff. The Floridian Breakfast at the lobby bar/cafe, St. Pete Social, was delicious and I got it nearly every day!
The reception staff were helpful from start to finish; whether we requested a room clean or asked them to change the date on our complimentary champagne(which we missed the first 3 days)! They went above and beyond, even mailing our marriage license for us!
Sonia cleaned our room immaculately and with extreme care. If we were ever in the halls she would greet us and ask if we needed anything!
Overall, we will be back when they reopen!
