The manager/old dude will lowball you as if you’re a druggy. $400 projector and he tried to talk me under $50 (says bulbs are expensive) .. I walked out. he should be fired so people can actually receive the correct value for their items . That or throw on gloves when he makes disrespectful offers .

This place is such a huge rip off. The customer service is terrible and they lied and tricked me into selling my gold for next to nothing. I do not recommend anyone sell there items there because you will be ripped off. The Black man with dreads that colors his hair purple flat out lied and tricked me into selling my 2 ounces of Gold for only $200.00 I didn’t not know the going rate so I wanted to check prices but he tricked me into selling my precious gold diamond ring and 24k gold cross along with some silver for only $200.00 I have not stopped thinking about it for months now and it’s killing me. I should have never went there I should have never sold my items to them because it was a huge rip off. The man working scammed me by not telling me what it was worth or what it weighed he acted like I didn’t have much there. He used a fake diamond tester so that I would think it was fake. They are the real scum of the earth taking from people that didn’t have the knowledge to stick up for themselves! I looked it up after words he weaseled me out of over $3,000 ! Karma is real and Karma will get you scam artists!!!!

Like most pawn shops now days they only give you like 10% of what it sells for online and then mark it way up higher than what it sells online. I understand the market is inflated and electronics and most items are a dime a dozen but it doesn't seem fair less than half value and mark it the same price or higher than listed online. If you are afraid you'll have to hold it to long to see a reasonable profit maybe explain why your price is so low because we all know that some items are going to sell for alot more a lot quicker!

This is not your father's pawn shop. The days of the dark and risky business where the dealer tries to offer nothing for your item is over. Most of us can look up the value of something but these guys are the experts in the dark arts of resale. I come from having very little financially but I have been buying gold jewelry since I was 13, with my paper route money. I will buy any expensive needed item from the aftermarket first. We have become a disposable society. Cash America is now a corporation and the management has less wiggle room than before and I see why the changes are making some unhappy. I don't know anyone's name on 34th St S. but the more mature manager in the back and the younger employees in the front have been there for years and will do summersaults to make a respectable deal. The low turnover shows that management is taking care of their people at this store. Even with the strict corporate rules I've seen these guys bend the rules to keep a customer happy. As a retired social worker I appreciate that. These guys work hard for the community. I'm a buyer only, but I know how the tides of the market works. When the value of newer electronics drop like a rock, it can be frustrating. I find it best to buy the expensive things I need slightly used, that includes high end purses for my wife and daughter. They carry a nicer variety of jewels at least 30% less than the big jewelers- that is true for about anything they sell. I love a great deal but I also respect nature. I first try to buy from someone else's carbon footprint-even before it was cool to do it. I have more than I ever thought I would when I was 13, but I can't afford to be wasteful.

I never had my ID thrown at me before today when mike decided he was going to throw it at me due to him pulling out wires on my system which would cause damage to where u put the wires in. Curious as to why he was doing that so I asked him and wasn’t given an answer. If my 2 12s are broken is he or ur establishment responsible for my 700 dollar speaker??? If u aren’t up to date on systems and how wiring works u should allow someone else or the owner of the property to do it because again pulling out wires that are connected are going to cause damage to my property and if it is whose responsibility is it to replace it my property was working perfectly fine before mike decided to touch it pressing on my speakers and tugging out wires that’s connected is mind blowing and crazy

Very nice and respectful staff. Fair in prices. Some people can be so rude because they can’t get what they want.(Like it’s understandable you’re not able to and get upset but they have rules as well not like if they can give you anything you ask for each time.) but you’re an adult so act like it. ?
