CBCS Company is the place for second chances for comics, cards and any other collectibles!!! They help restore and bring comics back from the brink of the trash. The pressing department works miracles on spine ticks, bends, cresses and water damage!! They receive your orders and requests and make it a priority on the turn around time for comic restoration and customer satisfaction!! I’ve had over 40 plus comics given a sweet rebirth thanks to CBCS!! A must company for comic shops, and fans!! 5 stars!!

CBCS Comic is a major scam! They lost my comic when I dropped it off at San Diego Comic Con. It took them a month to reach out to me about the issue. They offered me the insurance value that I paid for it but I would be waiving my rights to my comic if they do find it. I filed a police report on these guys. Never trust them again!

This review pertains to my experience at SDCC.I submitted 3 signed Art Adams comics at SDCC. CBCS sent them back for grading via FedEx. I later received an email telling me the comics were gone. I could get the cash value but would not be able to get the comics if they were ever found. Pass. The cash value doesn't cover all the effort and expense to get to the opportunity to buy the comics. Totally regret entrusting CBCS with my comics. CBCS should try to buy the same comics and replace what got lost.

I've read the other reviews, and unfortunately read them after I'd already sent 2 comics for review. I have to say my experience was completely opposite some of the others. Granted, I submitted two newer comics, so that may have made things simpler. From the time I sent my books in, to when I received them back graded and slabbed took less than 3 weeks. The books got the grades I felt was appropriate and the slabs look great. I was able to track the progress on their website all the way thru the process and was informed of their final grades before the books were returned. Your results may vary, but my experience was outstanding and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Dropped off a VF-ish Fantastic Four 48 signed by Stan Lee to CBCS at their booth at SDCC. Got the call yesterday that they "lost" it. Spoke w/a guy named Chance who offered me $1000 as reimbursement, which I rejected. Another Stan signed version in 7.0 (roughly what mine was) sold on Ebay in May, priced at 8k but sold as best offer accepted. No way to know exactly what that sold for, but it's probably safe to say WELL over 1k lol. Even very low grade unsigned copies are selling well above 1k. I pointed this out to "Chance" and he actually said 'yeah but those are CGC graded, which sell for more" LOLOLOLOL. I kid you not! Anyway, they're playing hardball with me refusing to offer more than 1k. I even told them I'd accept a replacement copy instead of cash and they said no. It's because they know 1k won't buy a comparable copy. What a complete joke these people are. Anyway, I filed a police report with the San Diego PD and advise anyone else being jacked by these scammers to do the same. If you haven't dealt with them yet I'd advise you to AVOID. btw - I'm posting a pic of Stan's sig on the book. If anyone comes across it please reach out. Thanks!

Worst experience of my life, avoid at all costs. A comic artist created a custom sketch for me at a Con and turned the book in directly to CBCS for grading. Over a year later they claim they don’t have it and have essentially stolen a one of a kind piece from me and told me to go F myself when I inquired as to where it is. Simultaneously, they sent me a graded and signed 2x metal comic (1 of 50 that exist) with a 9.8 score but they scratched and damaged the casing internally when encapsulating it. I opened a ticket and sent it back in for a new casing, they returned the book to me with a 9.0 grade. They are the only people who have ever handled the book since being signed by the artist. Absolutely atrocious customer service, they couldn’t care less about you as a customer and the money you’re spending with them. They don’t even have a phone number for you to speak to their customer service. Run the other way and deal with the more reputable companies in the industry. Abysmal approach to their customers (who, by the way, are the only reason they exist and continue to operate). Seems they’ve forgotten that, or don’t care.

CBCS IS A SCAM! Don't send your comics to them. They kept my books over a year just to say autographs i got in person were fake. I know they are real, i have pictures of them being signed. Not only did it take them a year to do nothing but steal $250 they damaged my comics and threw them into a large box with no protection for shipping to finish the job. I would burn my comics in the street before i would even consider sending them my books or even buying a book in their cheap, ugly slabs. AVOID CBCS AT ALL COST!

Horrible to deal with. Double charge you! Don't keep track of payments extremely unorganized. Would not believe me that I payed them already they couldn't check their own records. Sent new slabs with scuffs and scratches. Communication was horrible I'd go days with out responses. Just all around bad. Go to any other service. CGC NEVER GAVE ME ANY OF THIS TROUBLE.

Submitted a book signed by McFarlaine and they sent it back with the wrong address and lost the book. My account had the correct address but they messed up. Their phone support is garbage coz they can not do anything. I would put 0 stars if I could. Do not waste your money with this company because that is all they want from you. Use CGC instead.

Almost 19 months (!) from the time my comic dealer submitted my books in October 2021 until he received them back at his shop just this past week (March 2023). I'd ask him for an update. He could offer nothing because no one at CBCS would respond to him with updates. They offered no customer service to him. No communication. And since this was my first time getting books graded, I was already a little nervous about the process. And their grading seemed a bit harsh. These books have been well protected and stored properly, so I really expected them all to be in the 9.0 - 9.6 range. Instead, they were 8.5 - 9.4. Pretty disappointed in the outcome. Only thing I do like is that the packaging and labeling is well done, and my books are now preserved. But come on... 19 months without any updates?

Tried to get my comics that took them nearly 2.5 years to grade. I paid for them, payment says it went through but then nothing changes, doesn’t even come out of my account nor does it say “shipping” tried calling they have 0 customer service. So I’d really like my books back…..

Submitted a book to be graded at motor city comic-con 10 months ago with a promised turn around time of less than 10 weeks. I made multiple phone calls (all went to voice mail) only got one response “your comic is being graded.” My last 2 messages to them (last month) were request for retuning my book graded or un-graded. I have yet to hear back! That’s theft by deception in my opinion!

This place is awful They lost a customer today. I have graded about 40 books with them. This time I sent in 18 books, 4 had a glass cover and one was oversized. They graded two of the glass covers and said they wouldn't grade the other two or the oversized, but they were still nice enough to charge me for them. The grading process took 11.5 months, other places are much quicker. Finally, the straw that broke the camel's back was the took the 3 books they wouldn't grade, put them in a comic shield box, shoved the over-sized book in there and destroyed it, and didn't tape the others down so they were rattling around on their way back to me. If they were going to do this to books I would see, how do you think they handle your books when no one is looking. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 4 dollars at another company.

TLDR: They shipped my books to the wrong address without a signature requirement. The books are gone. They won't refund me and they replace the books. Details: I'm posting this so that others can hopefully avoid my experience. In December of 2021, I gave CBCS two comics to grade, paid for the grading and the shipping back. At the time, I was told the grading would take a couple of months. Around August 2022, I emailed their customer service to inquire if there was an update on the timeline. They replied with a generic email linking back to the time table listed on their site and made sure to mention that there we \"no guarantees on timeline.\" In September, I moved and I updated my address in my customer account on their website and sent them an email. In January 2023, a full year after giving them my books, I logged into my account to discover that they shipped the books to the wrong address. Worse, they didn't require a shipper's signature. So whoever was at the address simply \"waived signature\" and took my books. When I messaged their customer service to resolve the issue, they told me there was nothing they could do - even though they shipped it to the wrong address and didn't ask for a signature. They then ceased communicating with me. So my books are gone, they kept my money, and there's nothing I can do but warn you to please not trust this company.
