We did the date night class and it was the perfect alternative to our norm of dinner and drinks (although you can bring your own!).Bella was our instructor and not only did she really know her stuff, she also had the patience of a saint. Someone please give this woman a raise! This was a very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere which helped because we were all newbies. A fun and different experience that I would highly recommend!!

My wife and I recently took a pottery class at Charlie Parker Pottery and we had a great time! The instructor, Bo, was very knowledgeable and patient, and he helped us learn the basics of pottery in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We started the class by learning how to center the clay on the wheel. Once we had mastered that, we moved on to making bowls. We also learned how to decorate our pieces with glazes. We were both surprised at how quickly we picked up the skills of pottery. By the end of the class, we had each made several pieces that we were proud of.In addition to the instruction, we also enjoyed the atmosphere of the studio. It was a small, intimate space, and we felt like we were part of a community of people who were passionate about pottery. We had a minor hiccup with registration at the beginning, but the studio was very responsive and helpful in resolving the issue. Overall, we had a great experience and we would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning pottery.

St.Petersburg is a fascinating little city. Beautiful waterfront public areas, wonderful restaurants and fantastic museums….. especially the James Museum of Western Art.

Ahhhh, I miss living in the bay area mainly because I didn't explore just how artsy St Pete really is! I found myself at Charlie Parker Pottery to buy a used slab roller- if you don't know pottery language, which most don't- it's a table with a roller device to flatten clay (kind of like using a rolling pin, but more precise and bigger). I walked into a gallery space- filled with lovely pottery and I adored the tile art around the doorway leading into the studio space! Then the studio space with plenty of Brent Wheels (again- pottery speak, some of the best wheels on the market and used in most classrooms across the country) & plenty of other tools of the art. The back half of the building had so many kilns and other equipment for pottery. I was like a kid at a playground! The table I bought was HUGE! 6 foot by 30" and my son-in-law met me there to disassemble it. Connor and my daughter loaded my car for me while I had the oh-so-not hard job of holding my grandson! And of course- they told me about other items for sale and I snagged a couple more kiln shelves! Woohooo. They offer classes, memberships and of course- sell pottery. I got equipment simply because they are overhauling the space to make room for what their potters want more of. They happen to have more wheel throwing than hand building. They also are a retailer for Standard Ceramic Supply Company and sell clay on site- how exciting! I highly recommend checking them out if you want to try your hand at a pottery workshop! And if you're an experienced potter- hey.... they have clay!!!

Great experience! Such a fun thing to do with friends or family. I was very excited to learn the art of pottery and give it a chance. I do wish there was a little bit more hands on assistance, as it was my first time doing pottery and I wanted my items to be more functional than abstract

DONT GO HERE. I have called multiple times asking if my pottery has been finished. It's been MONTHS. They can't seem to find my items. This place is not cheap by any means. I feel so ripped off. They don't care. Calling once again for my money back since they have yet to call me back as promised.

This was the most fun I had with my adult daughter. Charlie and his staff were extremely friendly and hands on. During our first visit we both did two pieces and they came out great. Highly recommend this place if you're looking to do something that is fun and definitely different.

Incredible ceramic studio in St Pete. The new owners are lovely and very helpful. They have studio space for artists along with classes for beginners. There are a wide variety of pieces available for sale. Beautiful artwork. If you are interested in learning, this is a cool spot to do so. Helpful staff and good energy.

We went for my birthday, I've always wanted to attend a pottery class. Charlie himself is outstanding. He is very hands-on during the class, funny, and passionate about his craft and art. We made two bowls and he taught us every step of the way. it was really cool. Chelsea as well was very nice, helpful, and pleasant to talk to. We had 4 people in our group and it was well worth the price. I would do it again, and come back to visit Charlie and Chelsea for another class!

Drove thirty five minutes to suprise my wife for our nine year anniversary to be told face mask are required. They want you to sit there for two hours wearing a mask working with clay when you have zero symptoms. If you are that afraid of covid, you shouldn't be working with the public or running a business. This is coming from a business owner.
