worse bank ever if you are trying to get an sba loan from them run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they will tell you all you need is x,y,z you go through all the hoops to get these things and invest money out of pocket to get the loan. some things do take a little time and to get and i get that. however, when your "approval" expires after a year of working with them it is not your fault the fact that the person, they have working on your loan take several times off and your process is just sitting there until they return and "they" play catch up. of course a lot of things can change financially in over a years time. with me its because i do construction and it is obvious things slow down between nov-feb specailly with ga weather. so fyi, i lost over $49,000.00 in the business i was trying to open because i was told to spend on all these things i needed for the loan then they turn around and say nevermind. so with no money to open business, the rest of initial investment goes to hell. if you do decie to work with them make sure you dont work with april chapman.

I opened up an account6 at Bay First Bank on Central Ave against better judgment. I knew going in that this bank did not have it together when it took over a week to get my debit card. The printer was broken and I had to wait for the card to be mailed. Jen was a delight to speak to however, and that eased my mind slightly.My need was a bank where I could deposit large amounts of cash after hours. I had done this twice before successfully at the ATM outside of the location. Monday night I had a large deposit at around 10 PM. The ATM took the money and got jammed. My card was stuck as well, and I needed to call a friend for assistance to get the card out. It is now Thursday at almost 11 AM, and there STILL isn't a resolution to the missing over $900. Jen was kind to issue a credit to my account 3 days later - mind you after having to visit the bank 4x in person, and 8 phone calls. UNACCEPTABLE.Update: This occurred on 10/9. It is STILL unresolved on 10/24.

What a disappointment. Very light traffic & no format to speak of. One manager consistently garbed in a revealing & inappropriate manner. Managers leaving WHN they chose & using their time to gossip & slander. Phones not being answering. Almost No one knowing the policies & procedures. It’s like they’re playing at running a branch bank operation. If investors could be hidden away, even for just one day, they would replace key personnel and justly reprimand others. A different banking experience not to be coveted or chosen to protect assets and do things professionally. I walked away, think twice and look behind the scenes before affiliating yourself. The price may not be your cup of tea! Hopefully more customers up the road will cause the manager to resume her professionalism & courtesy… Yet to be determined…

My entire family and I recently opened accounts with the West Bradenton branch of Bay First. We have found all of the staff, especially the Assistant Manager,Silvia, to be professional, friendly, knowledgeable and go above and beyond to provide us with assistance and updates regarding our accounts. This branch has a hometown feel to it. We would recommend Bay First in West Bradenton to anyone looking for a welcoming professional atmosphere to do their banking!

I stopped by the bank for quarters. No problem. I went outside to wait for my ride and I made the horrid mistake of sitting at a picnic table. The security guard came out w/out even a hello ordered me to get up b/c the tables were got employees only. Not one person was on the general area. So….thanks for making your bank feel welcome and a safe place ☹️

It is with great pleasure that I write this review of the BayFirst west Bradenton branch. I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Silvia Hargrave in opening a savings and money market account. The process was simple and easy! Mrs Hargrave was extremely courteous and professional, but I also must comment, the ambience of the bank exudes friendliness but most importantly professionalism. Without a doubt, I will continue my banking business with this branch. Thank you Mrs. Hargrave!

Hello, we work with Lana and she is fantastic. Excellent customer service as she responds to emails timely and she is helpful and friendly. Never sarcastic or demeaning. Always on point, always patient, and always willing to help. You need to clone her!

The Bank is awesome and their staff are Top Notch. We got a Home Equity loan and Matt Brame was very professional and very helpful for an easy process, and his staff. Also Rose was awesome setting up our new bank accounts with them.

Disappointed is the kindest word I could use for this business. I used this company when buying a home and the lack of communication resulted in huge delays and misinformation. At the time they decided to no longer do home loans (we were not informed) and because of this decision, my paperwork was started and never completed. For weeks we tried to contact someone and ask when our paperwork would be completed and we got no answer until the day BEFORE closing. This is when we found out that our paperwork was “pushed to the side and forgotten about.” Then the morning of our new closing date, we find out our closing costs are DOUBLE what we were told. Overall, if you’re looking to avoid stress, avoid this business.
