Kind of difficult not to give this place five stars. If I could give them less stars for not having a location in Tampa, I would but that's not fair.

Just WOW I came to Mazzaro's on a Saturday and going Inside this amazing store bought back memories of when I lived in my homeland Italy. The place was extremely packed cause the quality of the food there and the authentic Italian products... so it's understandable. Mazzaro's is now my favorite Italian store in central Florida. Bravi !!

I bought some coffee. Was very good. I would buy again and the price was also compared to the store brands

Fun place to try for a Florida Drive and some fabulous food!! We came on a hectic Saturday morning after reading the raves on Yelp where NO ONE told about the food because of the icon of Mazzaro's. So first, I am going to tell you how to do this...Go on their website or call the deli about 30 minutes before your navigation says you will arrive, and order 2 sandwiches of your choosing to be picked up in the deli (get a number and stand and wait to be called. Then tell them your name to receive the sandwiches). Though we love Italian subs we changed it up for their #6 Roast beef with pickled onions, cherry peppers, arugula, Fontina cheese, and roasted red pepper aioli on ciabatta and my husband LOVED it! I ordered their #25 breaded Chicken Parmesan with Provolone and homemade sauce with the soft hoagie on the side. It came with 2 chicken breasts freshly made and not that old frozen stuff OTHER restaurants serve. Fresh, moist and delicious! It was just so good!! Now before I go any further, I should advise that there is little or hard to find parking on Saturdays, but watch for someone leaving and follow them. We lucked out and got right up front!! When we arrived we were still too early to pick up the sandwiches so we went directly to the bakery and took a number. We ordered one Cannoli Cake for $5 and went to the patio, paid for it and ate it before the sandwiches were even done!!! Free cold water with lemons and silverware are all on the patio which is open air, and marble tables. It was great!! Here's what's in the cake: Marsala wine soaked vanilla & chocolate cake layers, Cannoli filling between them, and a small Cannoli on top with Whipped Cream frosting with chocolate flakes atop. The small cannoli on top is garnished with chocolate chips and pistachios on either end! And yes, it is way better than just one little cannoli!! I can not believe how INexpensive this fabulous grocer and self serve restaurant is for such authentic and wonderful food!! After eating all of this marvelous food, leaving half of our meals for later (bring a cooler), we went shopping! This way we were not hungry and weren't impulse buying. We purchased freshly made mozzarella cheese ball ($9.99/lb), a bag of soft rolls ($2.50), another slice of Cannoli Cake and will back soon for more treats! We did buy some other things from their produce to go with the cheese. Great place to spend time having fun and there are photo ops over next door at their gift shop parking lot, too. Wine tasting had a line, of course and there are free samples of cheeses being served. The food was delicious and we shared the cake and ate only half of our meals due the substantial portions which left all the more deliciousness for when we arrived home in Orlando!

Go even if you don't purchase anything! It's an experience. Good casual Italian restaurant but huge fresh meat market, lots of Italian products, fresh breads, entire room for wine and cheese and a plethora of prepped food to take home and enjoy.

A must see Italian market/deli/restaurant. Food is great and so many grocery items as well. Be prepared for the crowds!

I WANT to enjoy Mazzaro's, but it's impossible. Ya'll are too crowded with zero crowd and traffic control.

This is a very cool market - would be more fun if it weren't uncomfortably crowded. Lots of interesting things to look at. Great selection of wine. You could hardly walk through the aisles and the wait times for a sandwich were lengthy (about 20 minutes) for a chicken Milanese. We were able to snag a table on the outside patio. I'd definitely go back during the week - Saturday afternoon was crazy busy!

It's an Italian market and it's fabulous. The prepared foods are delicious, authentic Italian. They have wonderful olive oils, balsamic vinegar, homemade cookies, cakes, chocolates, salads, lasagna, chicken parmigiana. I could go on and on. And they have an excellent selection of wines from everywhere! Staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. It may be packed and the lines move fast. I'm going back again before I leave. Love it!

An iconic St Pete Italian grocery and deli. I've been twice and both times the parking lot is full and the store is packed with people. This makes actually trying to shop very difficult because there's no space to stop and look through the aisles or read the deli menu. It's also not very clear how to order and where to pay. After the frantic process of ordering at the deli I didn't even want to try ordering a coffee at the coffee bar also. Next time I would order a sandwich online and pick it up directly at the patio. If you want to have a relaxing lunch and shop maybe pick a different place, but if you're looking for an experience and some good Italian imports you have to stop by Mazzaros!

What a nice jewel in St. Pete. Mazzaro's is obviously very popular. It's often packed. When I visited at the beginning of January 2024, the lines were long at the sandwich counter and the coffee counter and cheese shops were bustling. The wait for a sandwich was a bit intimidating for my 81 year old parents, so we opted to get takeaway ready to bake lasagna, a baguette and some lovely Parmesan. The food was great! I also found a jar of fantastic hot cherry peppers and some delicious Stilton cheese. Be prepared to take your time browsing ...there are a lot of great finds!

As other Yelp reviewers have attested, anyone in the vicinity of St Petersburg should get a meal at Mazzaro's - eat there or take out. it's truly a memorable experience Mazzaro's offers more than just incredible Italian food. It's a great place to spend an afternoon with small kids. After experiencing the world of delicacies inside, you can eat outdoors at the picnic tables. There is a little retro playground so the kiddos can run around while the adults can have some conversation. Throughout the parking lot are fun carnival type cars for climbing and photo opportunities. Lastly they have a nice retail store to rival any high end kitchen supply store I had a blast there and will definitely visit again the next time I'm in St Pete

What an amazing place. Been wanting to go here for several years but we were never in the area. What spectacular array of Italian goodies and, Italian being spoken by some of the staff and customers. Only comparable type place was an Italian market in Montreal that took up almost an entire block. Don't wait as long as we did to experience Mazzaro's.
