My husband and I opened a business account with the bank manager here, Rachel Whitmire,and she gave the BEST first impression of Regions bank. If all the Region's bank employees are liker her then I definitely am happy with out decision to switch banks.

After listening to my needs suggested some positive ideas for my father's account. I'm looking for a long term banking relation ship which Chase Bank can no longer offere me.

Here is my letter to Regions Bank Customer Service; Hello, I have been a customer of Regions for almost 25 plus years. I bank at my local Regions branch at Isla Del Sol, 5901 Sun Blvd, St Petersburg, FL. 33715. Due to the coronavirus, appointments have to be made to conduct business. I called and set the appointment for 11:15 3/20/2020. I needed to have a wire transfer to close on a property I am purchasing. Upon arrival, another customer arrived approx 15 seconds prior to me, they let him in, then told me I would have to wait. This customer did not have an appointment. After 20 minutes, of waiting in my hot car in the parking lot, I called another branch, made a new appointment, drove there and did the wire transfer. When the Isla branch called me to tell me they were ready, I was already at the other office. When I confronted the employees about allowing someone to walk in without an appointment they lied, and said he had an appointment. I asked, "so you made two appointments at 11:15, the female employee would not answer me, I said lets be crystal clear, and she would not answer me. Kenny the acting manager said the customer was already there when he left. Total fabrication and out right lie, we arrived together, and Larry never left the office for 20 minutes that I sat outside. This may seem like a trivial thing, but this is business as usual for this branch. The staff has always been transient, no manager ever stays long, and the employees have poor attitudes. I know absolutely nothing will be done, but I will post this letter on Nextdoor, and Yelp, FB, Twitter, Instagram and other social media. I may even decide to move my 4 accounts to BBT. I have gotten loans from BBT and they want my business. Ill be building a home on the land I purchased. I wont be asking for a mortgage or doing other business with Regions, as I will not reward poor service, and employees who lie to my face. This could all be cleared up very easily, just admit what happened and life will go on, but Nope, Kenny is a proven liar. The female who made the appointment lied as well, and said "that's just the way it is". How about just telling the customer who came without the appointment to make an appointment? instead of bumping someone who does?

This is the slowest bank I've ever been to, it takes on average 15 minutes to perform a transaction at the teller (this includes the waiting period); management needs to make sure more tellers are available around the lunch hour(s), or the personal bankers need to backfill when the tellers are on lunch. It's all about customer experience for brick-and-mortar businesses, if you can't provide a service that is reasonable, prepare to be out of business. To add, people that don't do their paperwork before going to the teller are adding to this problem.

Diane Birdwell is first-class banker!. She took busy time out of her workday last week to recommend I add a beneficiary to my account. I went back this morning and she remembered me and took care of everything. This bank is convenient and always professional. Thanks Diane.
