I like this gym. John was very nice and helpful. 3-day passes are always nice. Kind of has a mix of powerlifting feel and a planet fitness. Get in, get out straightforward workouts. Dumbbells and free weights are excellent. Plenty of plates don't have to go searching for once

No customer service. Trying to cancel, want to charge annual fee regardless. All the want is to give you an email address to correspond. No corporate number-billing is a center number in India. Run from this place at all costs. Awful

I've been going here ever since. The youfit on 66th Street North closed. I find it a pleasant place to go. However, the front desk people are not very knowledgeable or flexible and working with you on certain terms. It seems like there's different rules for different people and different prices for different people. Also the air conditioner in the class only room has been out for over 2 weeks. It's okay, but not the best gym to go to.

I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve been working up the courage for months to get my life back on track…..mentally, physically, emotionally. After a really hard stretch of unhealthy habits, I finally put on my workout clothes, drove myself to YouFit in Tyrone, and was ready to take that first big step.
Instead, I was met with one of the most demoralizing, disrespectful interactions I’ve ever had.
The man with the long beard at the front desk was rude from the moment we walked in. Absolutely condescending. He made up rules that aren’t posted anywhere, treated me like I was a burden for even trying to get a workout in, and made it very clear that I wasn’t welcome at YouFit. No grace. No human decency. Just straight-up attitude and power-tripping.
I wasn’t being difficult. I was just trying to move my body for the first time in five years. He acted like I was a criminal for wanting to use the gym. That 10-minute interaction undid all of the progress I’d made in my head. I left feeling ashamed, defeated, and humiliated. My trip to YouFit was supposed to be my first step back to health. Instead, I spiraled. I’ve been eating and drinking my way through the last few days. I’m crushed by how quickly one negative experience can shatter motivation.
If you’re someone struggling to get back on track, I genuinely warn you: don’t let this place be your first stop. It very well might be your last.

The people and trainers in this Gym are very nice. However, to get off the plans they offer is a real pain. If get a plan with an instrictor and you end up needing to cancel it, they request you to pay the whole term. The ugly part is that they did not explain any of those things when you sign up. This is based on my personal experience and I might end up in collection if I dont hire a laywer.
My recomendation is to ask all posible question about that before you sign up and request a copy of contract to review it before signing up.
What a shame...the place itself is nice and very clean.

Has gone downhill the last 2 years. Not kept clean or up to standards.

Yoga classes are too early 8:15, 8:30. Yoga is meant to manage stress not add to it. Driving in rush hour definitely adds stress. I asked if they could offer later classes and they got nasty. Citing instructor preferences were more important then member preferences. Upon checking classes all around, you'll see most are later morning. They want enrollment up and it would be if it were at a more reasonable hour. At 8:30 there are 1-6 members, gee I wonder why? Yet egos prevail.
And they refuse to update the information on the app.
Yoga instructor out for weeks, possibly months and they kept listing her name as the instructor, leaving the member to show up and find out it's not the instructor they thought it was. Some of us prefer certain instructors and would not drive over in rush hour traffic if the instructor is not there🙄 it should be our choice.
They also let another instructor disrupt our yoga classes during shavasana, then moved our class even earlier. 🙄 punishing us instead of telling her not to do that.
Also, App should be accurate, updated and concerns for the members not the staff.
Is it laziness 🤔 is it ego 🤔
It is not good business.

March 2025 update: The staff obviously addressed the hostility towards women mentioned below. Thank you.
Previous: Not a safe space for women, especially for us who want to participate in the group fitness classes, away from the judging eyes of the people in the main area. This incident happened twice, with the latest one just this afternoon at around 6 pm. This guy just started yelling at women in the group fitness area. The first incident happened a few months ago and I am surprised this behavior is tolerated here. The group fitness classes are important to me since I can work out without feeling threatened, but these 2 incidents and the fact that this behavior against women is tolerated are disturbing.

They turn on the air to blow but they don't set it to cool. When you walk in, you can feel the heat. About 78 degrees. The circut room does not have any A/C running its just air blowing.

Im in the gym at 5am when they open. The people in the gym at that time are dedicated, come in and get the job done. There's plenty of space for everyone with a wide variety of equipment. The gym area and restrooms are clean. Staff has always been friendly and welcoming. No reason or desire to workout anywhere else.
