I fell in love with this place. Nice, clean and good people that you can talk to. Midsize Credit Union that will and should listen to the members.Thank youAndy Z.

Not the credit union we need, but apparently the one we deserve.I grew up in San Antonio, and my credit union was always a staple of the community. We knew everyone by name and they knew us...but times change. It's understandable, since San Antonio has become a largely unrecognizable suburb of Tampa, and in turn, the credit union has become a bureaucratic nightmare. Very recently, I sat in their lobby for 20 minutes while they tried to find a manager that was willing to approve the deposit of a cashier's check in my own account. Yes, you read that correctly, I had to get a manager's approval to deposit a cashier's check into my own account...I decided to leave this review after calling this morning to open a checking account. We found ourselves disconnected three times after waiting on hold for a combined 20 minutes. Then when we finally were able to speak with someone, it was a call center in MICHIGAN! After multiple calls and messages went unanswered, we called a national credit union that financed one of our cars. We had a checking account setup in 5 minutes. Why San Ann can't manage to even answer their own phones is beyond me. But the lack of call back or follow up is inexcusable.I've been an account holder for 30+ years, longer if you include my accounts as a teenager. But make no mistake, this is no longer the credit union your father told you to support. They're clearly too busy overseeing new construction on their executive offices to actually assist the members that pay their salaries. At this point I would sooner do business with a faceless national bank (where I know to expect poor service) than to delude myself into expecting anything better from San Antonio Credit Union.

If you don’t like great, friendly customer service from a small town credit union you can count on, this is not the place for you.

This place is something. First, was grateful to them for handling the PPP expeditiously; can’t thank them enough. Decided to move my accounts over as a result, and what a mistake! First, they don’t answer the phone when you call, so you have been forewarned. Plenty of people working, but no one answers the phone. I actually went in to the branch while the phone was in a continual loop and when they greeted me and asked me how they can help, I told them answering the phone might be nice. I let it slide thinking perhaps a one time event, and it happened again, and again. Finally notified the branch manager. Second issue, deposited some checks into 1 of my 2 business accounts I moved and both were rejected without notification. No email, no call. I finally called an led inquired several days later when it didn’t post, and they told me it was rejected. When I asked them how come I wasn’t notified, they said that I was and it is buried in the mobile app in some weird place, and admittedly they agreed it wasn’t really the best place to notify that , and they agree. So why was it rejected? Apparently you can’t endorse a check made out to you to the business, something I have done for years at BOA. Both checks were business checks from my insurance company. Then, the app. That’s another thing. The app can’t link accounts and so I was told i would have to have 2 version of the apps; one with a finger authentication, the other I would have to manually key in my username and password every time. I decided at that point to keep my personal account at BOA and not go thru the hassle. Then, after the non returning of calls, the rejected deposits, the lack of notification, I drove to the branch to close the business account. Called to do it over the phone. No answer. Knocked on the door , (Covid19 protocol) and no answer. Went to the drive thru, told them I wanted to close my business account, and you would think that they would ask why? Or try to maintain the account? Nope. So, I withdrew the funds and headed back to BOA. Lesson learned

This is a terrific small town bank and credit union. We are always greeted with a friendly hello by the staff and they are always eager to help. They always seem to go out of their way to assist with anything we need. Very easy to do business here.

Great small bank. I wish you guys treated your Spanish speaking clients better. My mom calls and you guys are not really helpful, give her a number to call and just hang up on her. Then when I call back (as her translator) with her you guys are pretty rude to me and I have to fight/beg for assistance.

Horrible bank. Doesn't work with you at all. I kindly and professionally expressed a frustration to Phyllis Killmeyer about an issue with my auto loan and she had the audacity to laugh at me and not help me. Very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I had to follow up with an email instead of talking to her on the phone. I can't wait to have my loan paid off so I never have to deal with this bank again. USAA member for life!

I'd seriously don't recommend this place, unless you'd prefer to be treated as a second class citizen. I was recommended to this place by an old but powerful friend. Ended up speaking with an Hidie Smith, she ran some numbers for a refinance for a car I've recently purchased gave me Exactly numbers via Telephone so that's documented. Asks me so come in and speak with Erica the following Monday due to colliding schedules, she also went over everything with Erica that Friday so there would be no confusion come that Monday with Erica Sense she would be on vacation. So I ask for an early day at work that monday and rush over to San Antonio Credit arrive about 4:40pm. Sit down with Erica and hear that everything that was discussed before hand wouldn't be possible, down payment had changed interest rate had changed. Which is a huge inconvenience to me!!!!, Because if that was the case these two (professionals) should have came to that conclusion the previous Friday before I lost time gas and money asking for an early day at work and rushing to get there on time. Just to be lied to rushed out the door which in my guess so Erica could be out of there by 5pm. Overall very misinforming, vaig, and no interest in customer satisfaction what so ever, I've never dealt with such incompetence could be do to area and not much being out there. All I can say is steer clear!!!
