After reading the reviews I decided to book at another hotel. Unfortunately Best Western would not refund my money due to the 24 hour policy, which is frustrating since I am canceling due to the condition of the rooms and facility. I am traveling with two small children and we are flying out of the Sanford airport, so I wanted to stay nearby and this place seemed reasonable. But I do not want to risk the health and sanitation issues described. Money is not worth compromising safety and peace of mind. I will call again and hopefully they will reconsider their position to not lose a customer forever.

Booked a reservation online for the following week and had a family emergency come up just a few hours later and the hotel refused to offer any type of refund. Would highly recommend staying some where besides best western and especially this property.

First time ever that I had to wear ear plugs at a hotel .The heater sounded like a jet engine. The room was a one bedroom Suite ? The Mattress on hide a bed looked like it came from 1999 .We had no time to complain. We had early flight.I think we could have slept in rental car .I would have been as comfortable and quieter.?

Please read the reviews and listen to the warnings. We were stranded after a cancelled flight and ended up booking whatever close hotel we could find. By the time I read the reviews it was too late. The guy that was working the front desk Saturday around noon provided the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. When we returned around three to check in as we were instructed there was a girl working the front desk and she was very nice.We took the elevator to the second floor and the smell of mold and must hit us as soon as the doors opened and when we got too the rooms it was much worse. (We were told no refunds unless cancelled more than 24 hours in advance.) We pushed through just to get through the night and when we woke up we found the bathroom crawling with bugs and also found a dead cockroach on the floor in the room.I’m glad to have put this place behind us and will never return.I’m sure the manager will respond and thank me for doing a review but I would think they should focus their efforts more on making the hotel somewhat livable rather than providing false feedback that they are going to address the issues that have clearly been going on for months.DO NOT STAY HERE.

Where to begin RUDE customer service, bathroom, rugs, bedding, hallways, all nasty.Bugs in room, in bathroom, and who knows where else. The air conditioner smelled like mold. The toilet seat was busted.Even though we had a coffee maker in the room, which had to be moved to the bathroom to use it due to not enough plugs in the room. Because the light they have by beds, that you can supposedly use to put your phone charger in doesn't work at all.We went down to make a coffee due to all the bugs that grossed us out in our room. But even coffeemakers in the lobby were so disgusting and definitely never cleaned or wipped down that we didn't even drink it.They sell snacks that you have to pay cash only for, but they have no way to give you change if you purchase anything. If you have $20.00, we were told, "Well, I guess you can't buy anything." Customer service definitely not their fortay.Very rude customer service, no personality at all.I'm not sure why 3 cleaning ladies were on our floor and all in one room since nothing was cleaned in our room. We couldn't even sleep well through the night between the smell of marijuana coming from others' rooms and hallway and the disgusting bugs. The carpets down the hallways were even disgusting, like they had never been cleaned or vacuumed like your shoes were sticking to them. Sad to say, but NEVER EVER staying their again. Especially for $175. a night. Yes, it is convenient to the airport. But if you wanna bring home some friends in your luggage then this is the place for you. I am personally disgusted with the whole experience. I would have just slept in the truck at the airport parking lot, then their. It's sad that The Best Western is this way. It definitely needs to be torn down or looked at by the health department. But now I know why they leave the lights on for you.Rooms: Disgusting, don't stay hereFood & drinks: Don't bother if you don't have the exact amount you're not getting said snack. The coffee machine in the lobby is disgusting.

This place is tired and not kept up, Carpeting not vacuumed, bathroom floor not swept. Two people in the room and only a desk chair to sit on. When we told the person at the front desk we didn’t have a chair in the room, she said “they took them all out because we are going to redecorate.” We asked for an extra luggage rack so we could put one of our suitcases on it. They said they would try to find us one, but we never heard anything else didn’t get one. The television did not work properly. The sound kept cutting out and the screen kept pixelating. When we mentioned it to the reception desk, the guy just said “well nobody’s complained.” The bathroom lighting was very poor it was hard to see. The bathroom faucet was dirty as was the floor. The air conditioning unit was very loud . Even though I had reserved a king size bed, we were originally put in a room with two queens. They did move us when I called the front desk. There were no washcloths in the room only towels that looked like they’d seen better days. The elevator smelled the entire time we were there, and it made some very unnerving noises. It was also dirty and there was stuff (spilled food?) on the floor that was there the entire weekend. This place should be renamed Worst Western. The staff at the front desk were not friendly, welcoming or helpful. In our many years of traveling, this was the second worse hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Never again!Rooms: Very tired. Not clean. Beds not comfortable.

I needed to stay in a hotel close to the airport for an early morning flight. Best Western Plus was a close hotel and provided a shuttle in early morning. I read reviews and while there were a few negatives, I felt there were enough positives that I made a reservation. Should have listened to the minority because they were right. I almost felt like just going and sitting at airport for the night.1) Reservation made on line was a breeze2) Check in was pleasant but there was a smell upon entering the hotel. Just can’t identify it - maybe musty3) Elevator made crickety sound when I checked in4) Smell in hallway walking to room and worse in room. I sprayed with freshener and got me through night. There were a like of towels laying at end of hall.5) Bed comfortable but most furniture definitely aged6) Leaving hotel at 4:45 am next morning and on 4th floor. Sign on elevator that it is now out of order. Had to drop suitcase on rollers down four flights of stairs! I am talking a 44 pound piece of luggage plus another small piece. Didn’t do anything for bottom of my suitcase because I literally had to let it roll down 4 flights of stairs.Stayed at this hotel because it was only 3 miles from airport but never again! No more Best Western for me. I was a lone female and honestly did not feel secure at this location.I remember when Best Western was a decent hotel to stay at. Was terrible!Rooms: Other than bed and tv aged furniture. Towels were not ones I would use at home for painting and cleaning cars.Nearby activities: One more thing is that I had not eaten and closest restaurant was an IHOP I walked to although I questioned if I should in the area it was in. Normally don’t worry about IHOP but even it was questionable.Safety: When I returned from dinner, there was a questionable person in front of hotel so I cut through side to get in front door. Also some questionable occupantsWalkability: Nothing really safe to walk to at nightNoteworthy details: Room was marginal. The lobby area where breakfast is available appeared to be recently redone but the rest of hotel needs work. I honestly did not feel comfortable. The only thing this hotel has going for it is being close to airport.

Absolutely disgusted-do not recommend. Walked in to a mess, splatters, drips, dust, from a room that has seen much better days. A bathroom faucet that doesn’t stop running and a door that doesn’t close completely. The absolute last straw-a needle in the curtain that I found upon turning down the ac. I immediately packed and left. The person at the front desk just asked our room number, 322, and I bolted. Absolutely never, never again. I have also already emailed corporate but no response and the list copied and pasted email with zero regard!
