Concept is different from other gyms: trainer led classes-everyone does the same exercizes as a team. But a couple times a week they have open gym if you want to workout by yourself. Anyway, they call there concept "metabolic conditioning" where you are lifting weights, doing cardio, pullups, crunches etc in each class. They mix it up everytime, but the goal is to help people advance their skills. Consequently, members do what they are capable of doing, often working out with other members who are much further along. Social atmosphere with lots of conversation going on during class. Not a place for people who prefer to be in their zone. Class includes a brief Christian message from a trainer and prayer requests. Aside from a few rowers and stationary bikes, there are no other machines like Nautilus. They just use bodyweight exercizes, a giant monkey bar rig. and there are plenty of different kinds of weights. No AC, just the worlds biggest ceiling fans.

The perfect place for spiritual and physical health for people of all fitness levels. Great functional workouts, awesome and dedicated staff! My physical strength and strength of faith wouldn't be the same without TF Beachside!

The instructors seem to be highly trained in proper exercise form. They are constantly watching out for members doing their exercises wrong to keep people from getting injured. However, the style of cross fit here isn't intimidating-you do what you can do and trainers and other members are always cheering you on. Everyone does the same exercise routines together, you work out right next to the guy that can lift 500 pounds, even if you can barely lift 25 pounds. You will feel like you fit in right away. It's an open air garage right on A1A so there's always a fresh breeze off the ocean.

It turns out I've a lot more living to do. In these golden years, I find I need and desire energy and good health, to fully enjoy my three beautiful sons, now 16, 14, and 7. Yeah, I know. As well as my long-suffering and extraordinary bride. Also, on November 8, a new president propelled me into political activism.

I thought starting this type of workout at 55 was too much for me. With the encouragement of the trainers and those working out, I realized I CAN do this. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy but what in life is easy? God bless you all!
