Judy is honestly terrible and treats people horribly. I understand there is likely immense stress and many stories of less than favorable people. Yet, there should be some compassion towards people looking for the right fit for their home. My mother recently lost her emotional support dog, adopted a puppy who wound up having severe aggression issues, after a month and taking the dog to training she had to return the puppy. She was left crying and then was BANNED from ever adopting another animal there. After the same puppy was adopted by another family and was returned by them for having aggression issues. Instead of helping my mother find a better fit, they villianized her and told her she could no longer adopt. - She now has a dog she got somewhere else who she’s trained and who is amazing. But the fact she was treated that way was… disgusting. This should be about finding the right home for certain dogs. My mother was a school teacher, RN, guardian ad litem, and used to do speeches for ASPCA in her youth, and if someone like that is treated this way, I can’t imagine how many dogs get put down because they can’t be adopted because this staff is run by someone who acts the way she does. God bless these babies and I pray tolerance is given in the future.

Great place to get some help with your pet's health care! I got my dog,"Tucker", really was my deceased mother's dog that I took over for her! He got his updated shots, cleaned out his infected ears & treated them with anti biotic drops, checked a lump on his belly, all for a reasonable amount of 145$! I know for a fact that a normal local vet, which won't even see any new patients, at least 250$-325$! With buying a house & a used car, well we all need a reasonable perfessiinal doctor or vet! I also had my neice's dog which I had for a year put down there andcremated there! They really made a very sad/really hard thing to do for me as easy and humanely it could be!

There are some great people working here but Alexandra Casi from petfinders dropped the ball on the dog I applied to adopt, didn't communicate with HCHS, AND WHEN I ARRIVED they had adopted Tyson out to another home!. Someone screwed up. Bad experience. Go to Barking Out Loud Rescue in Lorida. They treat you with respect. They return calls and texts!

This pretty little puppy came running into my house 1 morning as I was getting ready to go to the store. I called hardee county animal control bc it looked well cared for hoping that they would locate the owners I told them if not I would love to adopt her. But instead they sent her to this place which then put her in the care of a foster mom. Which is now telling lies about her being aggressive... really when everyone that came in contact with her which is myself my 3 year old and 1 year and the girl from animal control thought she was the sweetheart... keep on lying though

Adopted this little girl there the other day. The staff is very helpful. They all have hearts of gold to do what they do there. 14 dogs were adopted on the day I was there and everyone was very busy. I was in and out in 30 minutes. make sure you do your application online before going there. It will save you a lot of time.

I'm unable to care for my lovable Chorki, Mocito. He's very high energy and gets lonely with just me, and I'm disabled, so I couldn't give him what he deserves. They took him for me and will train him for adoption. They are very kind and understanding. ❤️

I adopted Angie 1 year ago. She was then called So So. She has special needs and Judy was happy to see her being adopted. She was patient with my many questions. I had a good experience with everyone there who offered me advice on caring for my sweet girl. I hope to visit one day so they can see how well Angie is doing?
