Fifth third should know that exploitation means unfairly taking advantage of another person because of their vulnerability. Yet they seem to target folks awaiting their initial disability payments. They do not contact people who have accounts that go dormant to make sure they aren’t dead, they do not care about you. They will happily take $10k plus of your money with no qualms and then lie to you about it.Dead parent have an account there? They’ll charge you to close the account and transfer the funds to you- even with a will or rights of survivorship!!They know attorneys cost money for people like us. They have the upper hand and take total advantage of it.Scam bank. Bad bank. Horrid, likely illegal, activity going in there. Stealing from the elderly and most vulnerable.I hear that’s frowned upon in this state. Where’s the state attorney?Yo, @Ashley Moody- check this out.

This is the worst bank franchise that exists. Everything might seem fine at first, but give it a year or more. I’ve run into hundreds of headaches all due to fifth third policies. They also seem to change policies without letting their customers know. This is now twice in the last month I was charged an overdraft fee. I’ve never let my account stay in the negative for longer than 24 hours and always brought it to the positive. Which is exactly what I did this time, Except now fifth third has changed their policy it seems and even if I adjust my negative balance within an hour I still get charged an overdraft return item fee. This is over $70 in the last month I have been wrongfully charged. And I have had to use a courtesy waive previously which I do not have any more of. What I’m trying to say is that I understood how this bank worked for five years, and now all of a sudden everything has changed. I will be switching banks this weekend due to these extra fees and I hope everybody reads this and stays far away from this franchise.

The employees at this bank are very friendly and knowledgeable, they have all been helpful whenever I have had questions and always follow up if they don't have the answer right away. You almost forget its a big corporate bank as the employees always reach out and say hi when I walk in and they always seem to know all there customers names. I would recommend 5/3rd to anyone.

Friendly, courteous, and helpful employees. Never have to wait too long to be served. Over the years I have noticed a huge turnover of their tellers.

Wow, walked in the door and was greeted so warmly by all three tellers! I had questions about my current account and was helped immediately and thoroughly. What a breath of fresh air this branch is, the perfect model for all businesses in my opinion!

Longtime customer of 5/3 in Ohio. Since moving here 3 years ago I have had multiple issues with this branch. They are great at telling you what they cannot do, as opposed to what they can do for the customer. Refused to link multiple accounts of mine online, refused to notarize docs. Disappointed with 5/3 here in Fl.

Made a deposit on 1/26/19 through their ATM $500 check and $200 in cash. I was able to use my debit card up until the 28th but then a purchase got declined. I called them and they said a hold was placed on my account since I didn't have enough funds to cover the check for 2 to 3 day's. Called them back on the 31st because they still had the hold on my account and my account shows it is overdrawn. I was told that an extended hold was placed on my account because the check was insufficient funds. I notified the check write who showed me that there had plenty of funds in their account the entire time and that the check had cleared their account and was paid to the bank on the 28th. I again called them back and they said I would have to get the bank statements and documented proff from the check writers bank for them to consider possibly releasing the funds to me prior to their hold date. They placed the hold on my account until February 5th and talked to me as if I was a liar and trying to steal money from them! My own money!! I am unable to even put gas in the car, get milk for my 1 year old and couldn't even get my wife a birthday card. They are liars and in my opinion have stolen my money until they feel like giving it back. They are not even guaranteeing that I will have my funds by the 5th. I pretty much cursed them out because I was so angry at their actions and condensing attitude. I have only had this account for about a month but will be closing the account as soon as they decide to give me back my money. I should not have to go through this and borrow money from family to pay a bill and get food for my kids. I am trying to start a business which means funds are tight for a short period and should not be going through this and get treated like garbage. Worse bank ever! Stay far far away from their fraudulent and shady business practices!!

This bank was ok in the beginning but quickly spiraled downward without effort to recover. The staff at these banks are not knowledgeable and lack any professionalism. The managers are no better when you can get one in the branch. One person treated me professionally when I opened my account which was my first impression. Since then my experience is horrible. I have a million dollar relationship with them and am leaving ASAP. This bank does not value their customers; only the mere idea of them being open and in existence. This review is directed toward the Indian Rocks Branch, Indian Shores Branch and Park Street branches but those branches cannot be selected to review.

Sandy Dyvig Noel is the laziest "customer service rep" there is. Would be a great place without her. The only time I've had to fill out a deposit slip is with that lazy girl.

Staff unable to provide correct information about banking services. Loan service for mortgage poorly executed and horrible and unproductive experience. Very poor business representation for 53 bank. I keep wandering if this is how they conduct business. Very disappointed in the mortgage loan encounters and experience. They did not prepare us for closing even though we searched for home with preapproval for 6-8 months before finding home, making the experience dreadful.

I tried to call to get information on opening a new account. The phone was finally answered by Myia (sp? in customer service with a rushed and almost rude tone). She asked my name and I gave that to her and then said I wanted to know about opening a new account. Then she repeated herself and asked for a social security number and name again. I gave her my name and then she hung up on me. That was after the phone system had me on hold 7 minutes and had re-cycled my call 3 times and then back to being on hold for customer service! Very frustrating and I decided not to open the account at the Park location.
