Needed an alignment done call hummel’s tire and auto got me in that day very fast professional and are very trained and taking care of all your auto needs. I also had an issue with some shaking up my steering column, I pressed for time they got me in immediately and was quick to solve my issue. Overall I give them a five star in every field.Great customer service, friendly, ready to fix your problem, at a low cost, don’t let the cheap prices misguide you because the prices don’t reflect on the quality work you receive here. They treat you like family, so I highly recommend bringing your car here you have all your auto needs taken care of.

Spoke to Jeff about some issues with the fuel pump of my Toyota, he was very friendly and professional and called me back with an estimate that was very reasonable. I had my car towed to the shop. After it arrived I was contacted by Kim who was very rude and had an attitude from the get go. She didn’t seem to like that I didn’t want to do a diagnostic when I had already had AAA check it and confirm it was the fuel pump. Kim said a had a bad spark plug and my coolant was low. It already knew about the spark plug which is not a big deal to me because it’s just the one for the radio and my coolant does leak and I carry extra in my trunk to fill it up. I asked if they could just top it off and she wanted me charge $30 for that. She called me back sounding very upset saying that it will never run with a new fuel pump and pushed the $70 diagnostic on me again saying it would not be credited to repairs and it would be in addition. I asked if this diagnostic would include photos of their findings and after she said yes, I agreed. I then get an estimate for $8400 for radiator parts because according to her, my motor is “cooked”. This included a $500 miscellaneous fee. No pictures of anything were provided and nothing else in car was checked during this diagnostic including the fuel pump I brought it in for. When I asked about the photos Kim said she would have to charge me extra to remove the top of motor to show me the insides and couldn’t take pictures of low coolant because it had already been refilled. Kim was very rude the whole time and extremely difficult to deal with. I decided to get it towed back and asked for the car to be parked outside for the tow truck to get it and she proceeded to say nobody was going to push it out for me. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Kim should not be allowed to interact with the public. Terrible experience. I’m baffled this place is still in business and even more shocked at the positive reviews. Run away.Update:Took my car to another shop and they fixed my car for $640. They saw the $8,400 estimate given by Hummel Tire and Auto and called them “criminals” for scamming people.

First honest mechanic I’ve found since owning a car. They didn’t treat me like a dumb girl and I got my car back within a few hours. I’ve had such terrible experiences with shops, thank you Jeff and Kim for being kind.

I had a new battery installed at one of the local auto parts stores and the technician was having a hard time getting the negative cable off of my old battery. Eventually he did and for two days I had no problems starting my car but on the third day, on my way to work, everything just died. No power to anything. I called AAA and had my car towed to Hummel fully expecting to have to pay for a new alternator. The next business day I received a call and was told that the negative ground cable ( the one the auto parts store was having problems with ) had been detached from my vehicle. All the Hummel did was reattach it. They did a diagnostics test on the engine and everything was good and took it for a test drive. My total repair bill was $13.50 when I was expecting a $600.00 charge. Hummel could have easily said I needed a new alternator and charged me for one and I would not have known the difference but they didn't. It's that kind of honesty ( a trait sorely lacking these days ) that have kept me a returning customer for over 20 years, now.

They were recommended for my alignment. I went back again to have them check a noise out. Everyone is friendly and honest. I don’t feel like they’re try to sell me something I don’t need.

I went to Hummel with multiple engine codes and my 24-year-old Toyota hesitating badly. After multiple trips to Hummel where they replaced multiple parts for well over a thousand dollars, I still had engine codes and a car not working right. After they recommended a sixth part for $825, I felt they were guessing at that point so I went to another repair shop for a 2nd opinion. I found out Hummel had installed a cheap Chinese "aftermarket" part that my car didn't like. They had also stripped a screw and left it on top of my car. The part they used had no part number only Chinese writing. I spent $150 for the 2nd opinion in addition to the well over a thousand I had already spent at Hummel for the multiple other parts. Even so, I went back to Hummel and asked them to replace the aftermarket part with an OEM part and fix the screw which they did. After that I still had an engine code, so I went back to the 2nd opinion repair shop to find out why. They discovered Hummel had replaced a hose that fit on one end but not on the other. That cost me another $150. My takeaways: Hummel is not good at diagnosing problems with older cars, they use cheap Chinese "aftermarket" parts, and they sell parts and services that are probably not needed. That $825 job they tried to sell me ended up not being necessary. I'm sure I spent hundreds of dollars on unnecessary parts and labor at Hummel due to their inability to diagnose the problem, the cheap parts they use, and their carelessness. And after all those hours in the waiting room, I can't tell you how many times I heard the words "You need brake pads and rotors." I couldn't help but wonder how so many relatively new cars could need rotors. Just sayin. Also, I noticed the bad reviews are mostly on Yelp, not Google. I've had a bad review removed by the business before so I would not be suprised if this one disappears too.

My van had been making a loud metallic screeching noise when stopping. I knew the brakes hadn't been done in a few years so I assumed I needed new brake pads. Brought my van here a few weeks ago with the expectation of needing new brakes and possibly even rotors. Not long after dropping off my vehicle I got a call about their brake inspection. I actually had quite a bit of pad left and didn't really need new pads at this time and the rotors were still in decent shape. I asked about the screeching and they explained that it's due to the current pads being made of a metallic compound, and that's it's not uncommon as the pads heat up. I asked if they had ceramics they could go ahead and put on, which they did. Now they could've easily just went along with my assumption and sold me something I didn't really need. But the fact that they were honest even with me already under the assumption that they needed replaced, speaks volumes about the integrity they operate with. I'll be bringing my wife's car here in the near future.Service: Brake service & repair

I used this shop at the recommendation of my coworkers and I was very impressed. They fit me quickly, listened attentively to my concerns regarding the car, and provided thorough explanations that allowed me to make an informed decision regarding the repairs. They kept in good communication with me throughout the process even though I was out of town during the repair. I will definitely use them again when needed. Highly recommend!Services: Auto engine diagnostic

Good work at a fair price. I think it's very hard to find an honest mechanic these days and I feel like Hummel Tire and Auto is just that! I feel lucky to have found them.

Tire rotation at Costco revealed that I should get an alignment because of tire wear. Checked with regular guys that I use and was told that they don’t do it. Checked with Hummel and was scheduled quickly, priced reasonably, and work done quickly as promised. Nice staff assisted me and I’m happy.
