We had a twin miscarriage and didn’t want the hospital to just “throw them away.” I called Mohn Funeral home and they were a light during a dark time. Kirk guided me through the process and was so empathetic to the situation. We are forever grateful for their help. You just don’t forget the people that were so nice during the hardest time of your life. Thank you

The best way to honor your loved one is to hire Mohn Funeral home. Kirk and his family treat you and your loved ones with the upmost respect. Losing someone is one of the hardest things to go through in life. Make it easier on yourself and your family and make your arrangements or your loved ones arrangements with Mohn. This place has been amazing! We used them for my Mom back in 2017 and again in 2024 for my Dad and Uncle. Still just as great. We set up everything with Kirk, and his brother Will attended the service in his absence since Kirk was very sick. He called to apologize and see how I was doing. They are so friendly and caring, you feel like part of their family. They are also one of the last family owned funeral homes in the county which says alot. Also the non -denominational pastor they chose, Pastor Phil was also AMAZING. Couldn't recommend this place enough

When I was asked the deceased’s ethnicity the director disregarded my answer and wrote his own. Sure enough upon receiving the death certificate that particular info was incorrect. It’s not worth the time and money to fix it. But it is upsetting especially considering I anticipated the error before even receiving the certificate. Other than that service was excellent special thanks too Will for keeping me informed

I recently lost my little sister in a horrible tragic car accident. She was so young, so this was extremely difficult and my parents were unable to plan anything so I being the oldest sibling was in charge of everything for my baby sister. I called multiple funeral homes in my local area and Kirk here at Mohns was so kind, caring, and extremely compassionate knowing how hard this was for my family , I mean they just lost the baby of the family due to a car accident and the baby in the vehicle survived the horrific crash There was some confusion with my family regarding keeping the casket open, and Kirk kept me updated on everything that happened during the service with this…He helped me with the flowers, and my little sister had very long beautiful hair and Kirk did his best to ensure she looked good for the service. I did notice her eyes looked strange but I am just a regular person who does not embalm bodies so there may have been a reason for this…. Regardless I hope I don’t have to call them again, but if I do I will call Kirk and will know my loved one is in good hands, this process is extremely important and care is so important I felt like Kirk had the compassion to treat her like his own sister and I just felt good about him When it came to her care, it was so hard and still is so thank you Kirk.Thank you againRest in peace sweet baby girl we love and miss so much ❤️✝️?️Jessica Jarrell

I'm a funeral director in the State of Missouri - I unexpectedly lost my father while he was on a trip in Florida, so I called Lewis W Mohn Funeral Home for assistance in getting him back to Missouri because they were family owned and the original person I spoke with on a Saturday seemed to be nice and knowledgeable - clearly I should have picked somewhere else because they have absolutely no customer service skills or compassion.I was ready to provide information needed on a Sunday and was informed someone would call me on Monday (not that they bothered to let me know they had even received my dad or anything) Turns out that Rick who told me a funeral director would call me back on Monday is in fact a Funeral Director and the manager - which makes me think he just doesn't like to work on a Sunday! So then no call in what I considered to be a timely manner on Monday, so I followed up to essentially be told that because I wasn't there in person - I was lower on the priority list - so I at least got an email address to send the information they were needing to continue moving forward. Again, little communication until I received flight information on a Wednesday demanding payment by Thursday - which only gave the option of paying by credit card and not by check, but fine whatever.No follow-up that he made the flight okay or that there were no delays, no return to my email asking about death certificate for the cremation to be completed in Missouri, no explanation about the difference of a short or long form death certificate in FL (vastly different than in Missouri), so here I am still unable to cremate my father as I still don't have what I need to do that which I think is incredibly uncaring on their part. Needless to say, if I encounter another FL death in the area - I will find someone else to assist because here I have to continue to work while my father is lying here not being cremated.

Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Kirk was so helpful and compassionate towards my family and I. We felt very confident my brother was in good hands and treated as if he was one of their own. I highly recommend Mohn Funeral Home.

To be in a place not too familiar to me, and after calling a few different ones, I couldn’t be happier with the funeral home that we chose to take care of my Dad. They were absolutely a God send in helping us through this process. They were so compassionate and it felt like we walked in and family was greeting us.
