My wife and I have been patients here since 2019 and it is conveniently located near our home. First off, I want to say that Dr. Mark Sarno is an outstanding optometrist who is very professional, friendly, and informative. My experiences with him have always been very informative and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the office staff at this location, especially the office manager, is a combination of incompetence, laziness, and unprofessional behavior. The staff frequently say they will have to call us back about one issue or another and they rarely follow through. On my most recent visit, I wanted to get a spare set of glasses for driving and had a specific type of lens I wanted. The office manager had a major attitude and was unhappy that he had to call the lab where the lenses would be made. He promised to call me back with a follow up and of course he never did. When I went into the office to inquire about the status of my order, at first the office manager acted like he didn't remember the request (it was obvious by the look on his face that he did), then he asked me to wait. After dealing with several other customers, the manager said he asked the doctor and they couldn't do the lenses I wanted. (He never did call the lab back that actually makes the lenses I requested. He was just trying to get rid of me.) The techs that assist the doctor also have attitudes and make unprofessional and inappropriate comments while dealing with you. I ended up going to the Pearle Vision office in the Seminole City Center and they bent over backwards to get me the glasses that I wanted with a minimum of fuss and a great attitude. Based on my positive experiences with Dr. Sarno, I wish I could give them a better review however, both my wife and I are looking to go elsewhere for our vision needs in future.

Thanks for rescheduling me for the second time..... my eye doctor of Seminole .....I'll not be coming to you.....wouldn't have left the one star if I new that I could write this...

I walk in for my son’s appointment, blonde heavy set woman behind the counter says absolutely nothing to me. Also, some guy was at one of the desk in his cell phone and said nothing to me. She was with a customer, however, she could have very well told me she would be right with me. Five minutes or so go by and an older lady walks in. She’s asking where does she sit and what does she do ? I said I can’t tell you ma’am, I haven’t been helped either. Said woman behind the counter asks if I’m checking in for an appointment. I told her yes I am for my son. Told her his name. She can’t seem to find it then asks for my number. So I give her my number and she tells me his appointment is Saturday. So he initially had an appointment Saturday but I realized that we will not be home so I went online and scheduled a new appointment for 3/7 at 315 pm. So yesterday when someone from the office called to confirm our appointment, I told them we will be there and I asked them to cancel the one we had for Saturday since we can’t make that one which is why I moved it to Thursday. She said okay I’ll cancel Saturdays. Perfect. So then I explain this to said lady and she walks away. She comes back and I’m like so everything good or what ? She tells me no, we’ll have to reschedule. I told her forget it, we aren’t coming back. HORRIBLE customer service and will never go back.

I would give 0 stars! They are very incompetent and have horrible customer service! On 1/6/24 I had this establishment full an eyeglass prescription and my personal frames to have my lenses fitted to. On or about 1/21 I was notified my glasses were ready. I went in and the lenses were in (supposedly) but they asked me where the frames were. I reminded them they had them to fit the lenses in them. I was informed the lab had to look for them and I was strung along in the process. I was promised by the manager Justin he would keep me in the loop which did not happen. After numerous calls and now almost three weeks later, Justin told me to come in and pick out frames comparable to 250 dollar allowance. On Saturday 1/27 I went in and found no frames that I was interested in. I also requested to see my lenses that were supposed to be my new ones. After having checked the lenses, Sabrina admitted to me they were indeed my old lenses! They had done absolutely nothing for three weeks but lose my frames. At that time we got Justin on the phone and I decided I wanted everything refunded. Justin promised to take care of it first thing Monday. 1/29. I made several attempts to call them on Monday and left on hold. I finally reached Justin and he did refund my lenses and returned my optical health benefits but told me they would not be able to give me money back for the frames they lost! I was informed that I could choose from what they had or their website. I told them I wanted the same frame and was told it was not made anymore. I told Justin I found them on an eyeglass website. He still refused to help me in that area and would not provide a supervisor to speak to. I am currently wearing an old pair of glasses that have the incorrect prescription for going on almost a month! They lost my frames and are not willing to accommodate for this loss other than making me do all the leg work or compromising what frames I really want. I just want my 250 dollar value Versace frames or the money for such! This establishment is not trustworthy and refuses to go 2nd mile!

Experience with Doctor was positive but I am very annoyed that they told me the appt would be $10 full well knowing that the contact fitting would be another $85. Then they also told me the rebate would be $100 and it was $15. Ended up spending another $170 more than I was told for an appt and contacts. Glad to know my contact subscription is good for years. I will not be back. Shady money grab.

I've had glasses since I was 7. And I've been to 3 different eye doctors in the area now and this is by far the best vist I've had in my entire life. The facility is nice, clean, and welcoming. Justin greeted me when I walked in, and then let me know all my options within my insurance so I would know what I would be paying for my exam. Then he coved frames and specific ones that were covered fully within my insurance. Super nice and friendly with excellent customer service. Donna was the women who did all the pre exam work and she was very nice as well. Dr. Nevin Sarno is the most thorough eye dr. I've ever seen. She triple checked my eyes to make sure everything was correct and got my perscription fully up to date. My last dr seem to have my perscription incorrect. I appreciate the excellent care and customer service, also she's very nice. Last but not least Sabrina! Sabrina was extrememly helpful when it came to pricing, and what was covered within my insurance. I walked out of there today with two frames (including a pair of RayBands) for under $400 including the exam. Now I might have a great insurance plan, but the team there at MyEyeDr over on Seminole is top tier! They went above and beyond! Thank you all for making my vist so pleasent, after 3 eye dr's in the last 4 years I think I've found my new home!

This doctor tortured me for 15 minutes, to which I said nothing to their office about that day as I left in shock. They charged me over $240 for an eye exam, I paid my bill in full that day, and now this office leaves me 6 voicemails per day. I'm going to report the doctor if I get one more phone call. Seriously, stop harassing me over this google review. The doctor is sadist, and put a machine to my physical eyeball then rubbed my eyelids for 15 minutes basically scratching up my iris and making me cry in the chair. Then said, "I already got the same info from the other machine, I just wanted to do this one too." I can't even go into detail what she did to me.I have been furious since that day. I was physically violated and now I'm being harassed. LEAVE ME alone. I'm actually about to call the police for being tortured, show them my paid bill, then show them call history from this office.Stop calling me. I wish I'd never stepped foot in that place. I'm angry everyday over what happened to me. Stop calling me 6 times per day. Don't ever call me again.I HAVE 18 SAVED VOICEMAILS IN 4 BUSINESS DAYS. STOP CALLING ME!

I normally go to the MyEyeDr in the Clearwater Mall area on Hwy 19 and they are normally very good, but I couldn't get an eye exam for about 3 weeks out. They recommended I use this Seminole facility and was that a mistake. I had a 2pm appt with Dr Wilcoxon, and when I arrived, they had an out to lunch sign from 1 to 2pm. That's fine, but they didn't unlock the door until 2:10pm and I had to knock on the door to let them know I was waiting. When trying to check for my appointment, they could not find me in their system. Plus the lady searching asked my name 3 times and on the 4th ask, I figured that wasn't a good sign and left. I figured if they can't get your name right after 3 repeats, and they can't find you in their system, everything else was not going to go well. Terrible experience. I'd give this store a 0 star if I could.

If I could give 0 I would they are scammers!!! The VA sent me here to get eye exam and VA covered the cost they still made me pay $50 to get the paperwork that I had to submit back to VA. THEY ARENT SUPPOSED TO SO THAT ITS CALLED DOUBLE DIPPING! If this has happened to you and your a veteran and your eye exam is covered call (877)881-7618, 6am to 7pm and report them. The VA does not need to be working with these people when they are scamming us veterans. Not only was my whole visit cover I fought with them over a month to get my refund. The are all rude, unprofessional, and they need to be shut down. If you look at the picture youcan literally see where I had to pay, the office card they gave me and my VA disability paperwork that shows I was authorized for 1 eye exam, 999 images X2 , labs etc. Approved all they had to do was send VA the bill and still had the audacity to make me pay for the paperwork. Haven't been there in almost 2 years and they still think it's okay to text and call for me to go for a checkup. Stay far away and save your money. Do not go here.

This place has really gone downhill since I started coming here back in 2008. I recommended this place to my mother and she’s had nothing but problems just trying to get an appointment. First the front desk tells them I’m seeing one of the Dr I’ve never seen in my life & makes her an appointment with that Dr. I tell my mom to call them back and make an appointment with the Dr I’ve seen since 2008. They switch her appointment and when she shows up for that appointment the front desk tells her they screwed up and never moved her appointment. So they make her another appointment for 2 more weeks and then the day of the appointment they canx it and tell her to try again next year.This place has turned into a high pressure corporate sales establishment. The best front desk/office manager left to go to another location and once he left, the front desk folks have really gone downhill. I understand this is a business and they need to make money but I don’t need to be “sold” anything after I tell you over and over no. It’s gets to the point you have to be rude and just ask “so when is what I actually want going to be ready” and ignore whatever else they are trying to pressure you to purchase.I’ll keep coming to see this Dr since I’ve been coming for so long but would NEVER in good conscience recommend any MyEye Dr office location to anyone moving forward.

The only reason I give this 1 star is for the Dr who did my exam. The rest of my experience here fails to meet even the slightest of expectations. I am a cash paying customer and had my exam, and lens order, done over 3 weeks ago. After waiting 2 weeks, I called to check the status and was told that the lady who "checked me out" no longer works there and my lens were not ordered. I was assured that they would put a "rush" on my order. Another week goes by, no communication from office, I call and get "a recap of what I was told on the first call. Then told, "I have to check into this, as I am new".A business that is quick to take payment, but lags in delivering the product and any resemblance of customer service, should be shut down. I own several businesses and I would NEVER allow my team to treat a patient in this manner!!!This is the last time I patron any My Eye Dr clinics, and rest assure I will let everyone know about the poor execution.

The doctor and the staff in the back room were excellent. The employees in the front of the store are so under trained. I was there for three hours arguing so all my insurance from Humana would be utilized. They had no idea what Humana credit card was if I had listen to them, I would have Walked out without using the money provided by Humana and the corporation would have lost out. Also, they have to start training them on the use of insurance after all they are a Humana provider

worst eye doctor ive been to im my life. lied to me about the cost of exams. lied to my insurance company while i was on the phone with them. tacked on hidden fees against my contacts allowance to where i didnt have an allowance left to cover contacts for the year. and on top of all that i had to pay 60$ out of pocket before i left. these people are crooks and con artists and are so greedy to the point you have nothing from the insurance policy you pay for to be able to see. this exam was a complete waste of time and money. i will never go back here again and you should stay away from here if you want to have an honest and upfront conversation with your eye care provider about costs. people like this are whats wrong with the world. dont go here.
