If you've never seen a WHITE(ish) squirrel then Ochlockonee is a place you'll want to visit. The park is clean and very well maintained, and the staff were friendly an attentive. The camping experience was calm and peaceful with plenty to see within a short walking distance of the site. There is only one camping site with hammock posts, but most of the sites would accommodate a hammock tent using some tree friendly straps.

We needed an escape from the windy beaches of SGI. This park was perfect to enjoy a cloudy day. Several hiking trails with restrooms and picnic shelter at trail head. There is a small campground that the trails wind around. We saw white squirrels but didn't see the white deer.

This is a great park for a variety of interests! This park offers a boat ramp, canoe and bike rentals, camping, fishing, hiking and is terrific for birdwatching. The mature pine habitat is especially good for woodpeckers, including the endangered Red-cockaded Woodpecker. The nature drive is a nice way for the whole family to enjoy the wildlife. It occasionally closes during rainy times but is still available for hiking.

We only rode through and looked with the intent to come back for a lengthy stay. Sites are small and close together all dirt and it would take some effort to get anything over a 30 ft camper in there . We will probably not visit here. To many state parks to waste time on this one.

Nice State park, lots of trails, a beach and boat ramp. We were site 4, a little tight to get into. Bathhouses were nice as well. Rangers were so nice! White squirrels were really neat to see. We rebooked site 15 to come back next year!

This park is an awesome place to camp, hike, fish, bike, take photographs, or do any kind of outdoor activity, and be near nature. It is dog friendly even on the hiking trails. You will probably see birds, deer, and various other wildlife in their natural habitat. Excellent place to spend a week camping and the staff members are extremely friendly. We will definitely visit again soon.

Terrible flies surrounding all the camp sites and there is no hand soap in the restrooms. Bring lavender, mint, or ginger essential oils and hand soap.

Beautiful, peaceful park. Plenty of hot water in the showers. Close enough to put kayak in river from several sites or use the nice boat launch area which has a kayak launch. Enjoyed seeing white squirrels and "Sugar", the white deer. Lots of small birds. A nice walking trail along the river and scenic drive which we biked. Bring what you need, not much in the way of stores nearby.

Nice quiet campsite. Enjoyed our stay. Facilities and roads could be updated. As I looked over the surrounding landscape, the thought struck me that 10,000 years ago some animal would have been looking at me, saying, "Is it tasty precious? Is it crunchy?" Could use some marketing input on how to best promote their swimming area.

Very nice youth camp. No electricity, but it has water, cold showers, vault toilet (sort of a permanent Portapotty)and a fire ring. There are a number of hammock posts for 5 or 6 hammocks. Hammocks on trees is prohibited. The grill was not useable as the supporting post is badly rusted and it is collapsing. Deer graze in the surrounding grass
