“As you step through their entrance, you'll be greeted by the warm ambiance reminiscent of a traditional mom and pop marketplace. Would love to have them play soft Greek music in the background to add to the overall sensory experience, but that’s ok….Take your time perusing the diverse selection of packaged goods, fresh vegs, wines, olive oils, herbs, etc. For those seeking a quick and satisfying meal, their deli offers a tantalizing array foods. We actually had the Reuben. Corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing on rye bread. Delicious savory and tangy!Kalí óreksi! (Bon appétit!)”

“Lots to choose from - all very fresh produce that can't be found elsewhere. Most of the produce are from local growers. They also have hard to find gourmet foods as well as ethnic foods from different parts of Europe, Asia, and the Far East. They also sell fresh high quality bread from a local baker. Their sourdough and marble rye is better than any baker or grocery store in Tampa Bay! And they get farm-fresh eggs as well. Their prices are on par with the local markets if not cheaper.”

“I love this store! Amazing prices, rotating variety and I can find things other places don’t have. It is literally half the price of publix on a lot of items! I can get turmeric, obscure mushrooms, jicama, fresh herbs etc but also all the regular run of the mill produce. Friendly employees too!”

“If you are looking for a high quality Boar’s Head deli sandwich, this is a great spot. Subs to go, hand crafted…not cheap but really good. This produce, deli and gourmet foods shop has been here for 42 years. I got a small 3 meat sandwich with turkey, salami and beef bologna topped with lettuce, pickles, olives, peppers, oil and vinegar. He also sells Boar’s Head meats and cheese by the lb. and their salami, hot dogs, block cheese, etc.”

“Didn't need much produce for a meal, and this was the only place on the way home, so we stopped and boy did they have some great produce. The yellow potatoes were so so good when cooked up, crisped up nicely yet super smooth/tender in the middle. Price was pretty good considering the location. It isn't the biggest place but they probably got what you need, especially being on the island.”

“Family owned business. Some produce prices are actually cheaper than Walmart! They got fresh and frozen seafood as well! Especially nice jumbo shrimp. They got canned goods, dried goods, etc. They also got some fresh foods like byrek, baklava, goat cheese, Bulgarian cheese, banana bread, etc. The people here are nice and friendly.”

“Best place for fresh fruit and vegetables from local farmers! After the Wagon wheel market closed this market picked up the slack and is catering to large number of residents in the area. We must support the local farmers. It’s really a hard job with lot of labor intensive work to bring fresh vegetables to the market.”

“A neat store with some produce, honey, and lots of trinkets (shells, stuffed animals, etc).I thought the prices for citrus fruit was quite high considering that's their specialty, but they had some interesting flavoured honey which may be worth the price. The prices for the aforementioned "trinkets" were reasonable. If you're in the area don't forget to make a stop at the George C McGough Nature Park right behind this place! Now that definitely is worth the visit!”

“My husband bought fresh cut roses at Aldi in South St. Petersburg. The price was $10.00 and he was charged .96 tax. The receipt said 7% sales tax. That doesn't compute. I tried to find out if there is a luxery tax on flowers but only found that florists have to charge 7.5% tax. If this is the case, why isn't it reflected on the tax rate on the receipt?”
