The male employee (the only person working on 07/12/25—possibly the manager, Carlos) was shockingly rude and unprofessional. I won’t be returning. My recommendation: he should seriously consider taking an extensive course in customer service and basic communication skills.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Beware of This Location
I by far had one of the worst rental experiences at this location. I had prepaid for a reservation with a scheduled pick-up time of noon. I arrived at 12:08 PM, only to find the store completely closed — despite the fact that the app showed my reservation as confirmed and had already assigned me a specific vehicle.
The lot is in an open Publix parking lot, so I checked and found the car they had assigned to me. Shockingly, the car was left completely unlocked, with no keys or contract inside.
I immediately called the Hertz main line and spent 45 minutes on hold before finally speaking with a representative. They advised me to go to the Fort Lauderdale Airport location, assuring me they could help. However, when I arrived there, I was told that my contract had already been opened and closed just minutes after, as if I had picked up and returned the car — which I absolutely did not authorize!
Frustrated, I ended up renting from Avis instead — on the same day — and that process was easy and professional by comparison.
Trying to resolve the issue calmly, I called the local branch that closed my contract without my consent. Unfortunately, the employee I spoke with was dismissive and rude, repeatedly telling me “the contract is void and we can’t see anything” — despite the fact that the airport location could clearly see that the contract had been opened and closed. Not once did I receive a courtesy call reminding me that the location would be closing, even though my reservation was right at closing time and the app stated I had up to two hours for pick-up.
It’s unacceptable to treat paying customers with such a lack of transparency and professionalism. I now feel forced to escalate this situation further because this location clearly does not value its customers or take accountability for its mistakes.

I just easily had the worst car rental experience at this location. A guy named Carlos tried to book me in a small SUV for over $500, which is more than twice what I paid not even a month ago. Then when I argued, he became visibly irritated that I called him out on his bluff. When he said he will get the car ready, I waited for quite literally an hour, no exaggeration. This one experience will prevent me from renting here again, no doubt in my mind. I would rather rent a car from a homeless guy than go here again. We “settled” on a “managers special”, which he manually made more expensive on the back end. Very visibly annoyed that I caught him trying to rip me off. Avoid at all costs.

This is the worst experience ever!! I rent cars pretty often. Now I see what this place does not have good reviews. I got a car infested with cockroaches, which I mentioned to them and they reacted like nothing happened. Not even an apology!! Customer service is bad! the rental price at the beginning it’s not what you end up paying. They charge you for everything! I ended up paying more than in a another rental car. My tolls were $9 dollar but they charged me $20 in “convenience fee “. I had four more charges and some of them I was not informed about. Never ever again this place!!

Made reservation in advance for a pickup truck, only had 1 electric vehicle on arrival.
Yet you can’t call ahead to ask what’s in stock.
Don’t bother booking online; they won’t have what you want.

Very good experience, Mr. Carlos assisted me very attentively. I had a letter left in Hyundai Genesis that was for them to give me the car without paying and he asked me who assisted me and he immediately called and the problem was resolved. He gave me a car Better than mine until they fixed mine. Delivery without problems. I only paid for the gasoline I spent. As for the 10 pesos, if you don't deliver it full, it's not a scam. He told me twice and on the corner there is a gas station there, fill it up. the tank before delivering it. and the drivers who picked me up and took me. excellent treatment

this is the shadies of rental car companies, did an expedia reservation for my parents for 260, my parents went there to pick up the car and they ended up paying over 500, i was so mad, good thing i wasnt there, they wouldnt have done that to me, but because they are old and dont know how it works, they scared them and sold them so many add ons and stuff, so mad at this stupid company. i would never do business with them. scammers thats what they are.
