I used to come here often but then things changed. A while ago I overheard an employee yelling and cursing at her kids over the phone. The other employees didn’t seem to care. Ok maybe a bad day.
I came back a while later and an employee accused me of ‘banging up her car’ in the parking lot. In fact, my door dinged her door handle and no damage was done. My husband got out and we all confirmed as much and started walking into the store with this girl following behind.
We proceeded to the card aisle but this girl went to the counter and (quite loudly) started telling the other employees and the people in line that someone hit her car and took off! Of course, I walked up to the counter and introduced myself to the people there as the person who accidentally touched her car with my car door.
I asked her if she wanted to call the cops and she ran to the back and hid.
I left my information with another employee in case she wanted to involve police. I have video and pictures of the incident.
I sent an email to Family Dollar and I got no response. I have not set foot in the store since and I never will.

I have never been to a store where customer service was non existence. I walk in and there were 2 employee's. Neither said anything. I was going up and down the isles and passed one, still not a hi or anything.
Finished my shopping and headed to check out counter. One employee came from back of counter and didn't even acknowledge me.
Put my stuff on counter and I'm waiting, waiting, more waiting. I see a bell and ding it. Still waiting. I had to go searching for one of them. Finally see female employee and say " can someone check me out please?" She yelled out man's name and he comes huffing up to counter and grabs my stuff, rings it up and tells me price. I pay and he shoves bag towards me. Never once says anything. I thank him ( God only knows why) and I leave.
What ever happened to saying hi when a customer walks in? What happened to just common courtesy? It was the worst encounter I've ever had with a store.

You walk in the door you are greeted by the employees which is nice you can find everything easily prices are good check out is a breeze absolutely no complaints with store

I was in there this afternoon. I had a digital coupon. First the cashier was yelling for the mgr. wondering where she was. Which is unprofessional! I'm standing by the detergent. I'm trying to decide what tide pod is for the coupon. I can't find the exact one. I say to the mgr on the other side " excuse me could you help me ?" Mgr " with what "? Me " could you come here ?" I hear a loud sigh. She comes over. I say I need help with my coupon. She rolls her eyes and says. The tide is right here ! I say. I know how to read. I can't find the exact one. She snatched the phone out of my hand. I finally said. Never mind I will take this one. Grabbed a tide and left. I also told her. She was a big help. I didn't need help finding the tide. I needed help with my coupon. They always seem to hire the same " type " of people to work at places like that.
