They have a great peer program for adolescents that isn't available in my county.

I would of put zero stars but they need more professionals that know what they are doing and know the protocols and I don’t think that these peer counselors should call the child without the parents knowing, and the parent said not to call my child and they did anyway. Very unprofessional they need more training. Not happy, very upset how they handle things PARENTS BEWARE !!!!!!!! THEY HAVE FAILED TO PROTECT MY CHILD AND MAYBE YOURS ??????

Everyone seems to want to go above and beyond for people here. Tina, Gina, vik and Joanne have been wonderful. I would recommend to anyone.

Family night...8 peers played Family Feud and had a great time. Food and fun at a wonderful group. I so appreciate NAMI Hernando.

This is the only service in Hernando that cares the most as far as I am concerned. They are truly non-profit with a staff who really does care about everyone's personal situation. It's really like another family. When their Executive Director Tina knows you need help, she will go out of her way for you. She doesn't turn anyone away but will work long hours for you without you even knowing. This place should be recognized throughout the county for everything they do because it's important. I believe NAMI may be preventing a lot of really bad situations from occurring and in some cases, they may be the reason why some choose to keep living.

Good advice and lots of information and resources. The most important thing was support which is what we all as parents and caregivers need when coping with a family member who has a mental illness or being the one with an illness.

I was disappointed I went to a group that was very unorganized. They had too many people never started on time always lasted over time. I think for some it would have been a great meeting. I was disappointed that they did not call to ask why I stopped going.
