“Our Discovery Point Silverthorn experience started when our youngest was just 6 months old. Choosing childcare for such a young baby was one of the hardest decisions we’ve had to make as parents. After a lot of research, visiting facilities throughout Hernando County, and meeting with teachers, Discovery Point Silverthorn stood out as the best place we could find for a baby — and we are so thankful we trusted our instincts. It truly is a wonderful facility with a warm, welcoming environment and staff who genuinely care about the children.

A huge part of what makes this place so special is the incredible teachers — especially Mrs. Yuly and Mrs. Laura from the Toddler Room, Ms. Sarah V. and of course Mrs. Barbara from the Infant Room. We cannot say enough wonderful things about them. You can truly tell they were meant to be teachers and to work with children. They are patient, loving, caring, and make every child feel special. The Toddler Room with Mrs. Yuly and Mrs. Laura has been such an amazing experience, and Mrs. Barbara made such a positive impact during our infant room journey as well.

Our kids adore them — even our child who isn’t in their classroom looks forward to seeing them every morning at drop-off and again at pickup! We also have our oldest enrolled here during summer breaks, and he absolutely loves it too. It’s been so reassuring to see that all of our children enjoy being here and feel comfortable and happy at Discovery Point.

Ms. Yuly, Ms. Laura — thank you for everything you do. Adam is so blessed to have had teachers who care for him so genuinely, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such wonderful people to be part of his early years. You’ve made such a positive impact on our family, and we appreciate you more than words can say.

“I really like this daycare. The owner and staff and genuinely nice! My son is no stranger to daycare as we have been transitioning over the past two years however, I must give respect where it’s due. The daycare has made a diligent effort to assist my son in his transitioning process. We have been here only three months and he’s had an ELC developmental assessment done & Action plan provided. I have regular correspondence with his teacher throughout the day and his communication is noticeably improved.
Okay so yes 4 stars right? I will say that I would like for him to be cleaner when I pick him up from school (face cleaned, nose wiped cause I want my kiddo back in the same condition I gave him to you) but I also understand I have a toddler and to multiply that by 10+…I can’t guarantee how clean they would be at 5-5:30 any given day ??‍♀️”
