Christy was very kind and had a great attitude, which I always appreciate in a stylist. The braids looked cute at first glance, and I was honestly too tired after the appointment to really inspect them. But once I got home and took a closer look, I noticed the braid sizes were inconsistent, and the ends were uneven and looked chopped in some spots. For the price I paid (about $420 total), I expected a much more polished and uniform finish. The space itself wasn’t the most relaxing either there were a lot of people just hanging around who weren’t getting their hair done, which made it feel crowded and chaotic. It definitely didn’t give a calm, self-care vibe. Christy herself was sweet and the style was okay overall, but for that kind of money, the full experience and attention to detail just wasn’t there.

I booked an appointment for a hair Consultation so that I could decide on a protective style for postpartum. I struggle with depression and thought it would benefit me not to have to worry about doing my hair after the baby is born. My appointment was for may 7th at 10am I got a text to confirm the appointment which I did and then a reminder text a few days before. On the day of the appointment I arrived and the doors were locked. I called twice and no one answered. I left a message and nobody ever got back to me. I was literally rushing to the appointment because I had to get new tires put on that morning and I was afraid I would be late. When if I had known she would blow me off I would not have worried about it. In my opinion this is no way to run a business and is completely unprofessional. I guess I will just have to take my money elsewhere! Her loss!

yo ive gotten braids 6 times now and its my first time coming to christy and mane can i tell youu these jawns stuck in my head like cave paintings these parts are shiny as mr clean bald ol head mane nah buh no funny shii 10/10 definitely coming again!!!

A+ service. This place always gives off a friendly and respectful atmosphere. I have never left here unsatisfied. Hair is always on point.

My teenage daughter had segalese twists done by Laticia and they were beautiful! She took her time and did them well! My daughter was very happy and she said it was money well spent.
(We went back to get the ends of her twists curled, and got some scalp treatment spray for itchiness. Laticia was kind and patient and very helpful.)

Terrible communication. Had to get my hair redone after my faux locs started to unravel after only 3 days. There was some back and forth on when I could come back because the original girl that did my hair wanted me to come in a month later for them to be redone. I just feel that if it’s not the customers fault then there should not be any question on how soon they should come back. Not to mentioned she was incredibly rough when she was redoing my hair. I was left with bumps all over my scalp that took weeks to go away. And now after just over a month, I decided to give the salon a second chance and see if they could do my hair again and this time I reach out directly to the owner (I was told by some friends that they ONLY see the owner) and am left on read after she stated she would check her schedule for availability. Needless to say I’ll be looking for services else where.

Best experience 10/10 the environment is very welcoming, very comfortable and it’s was money well worth spending . My hair came out very beautiful and I had a great experience so if you worried about getting your hair done and you’re a POC this is the place, they know your hair and they treat it with kindness and offer the great advice to keep your beautiful Crown looking amazingService: Twist braids
