Considering we left traders due to terrible service this place was amazing. They actually have two restaurants in the building. The food was great got the crunchy grouper and shrimp basket. The shrimp pizza with white sauce and oysters with garlic butter and parmeasean pizza. The place is really nice and the service was great. Thank you Erica and the guys name started with an H.

Visited twice during our recent trip to Sanibel. Food was delicious, service was exceptional and a nice setting. For key lime pie fans, theirs rates 5 stars!

Besides the fact that they were open on Christmas eve and.... The servers were busting their behinds but still had a smile on their face.... this restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and the food was outstanding! Very fresh oysters and delicious Manhattan Clam Chowder to start! We both ordered the seafood combo. The hubs ordered the crunchy fried and mine of course was broiled. We enjoyed the chowder so much, we ordered it to go for the following day! Good job and super smart to provide for those traveling out of town needing a Christmas dinner!!

Another Sanibel restaurant with amazing food! Went for Christmas this year and multiple times through my life with my family. Awesome seafood, great raw bar, I absolutely love this place. All around 5 stars

We enjoyed our dinner at Timbers, but I'd say the food overall was a little traditional/boring. I called ahead to make a reservation, as it was a Saturday night during prime hours, and had no problem getting a table for two. We were seated promptly and had a friendly waitress. The restaurant was more quiet than I expected, which we didn't mind, as the food came out quickly. The carb cakes and the snapper were done well and veery tasty. The accompanying baked potatoes and vegetables we got were fine. Everything was crazy hot - warning to the wise, watch your first couple bites. I liked the nautical themed decor and the booth seating was comfortable too.

The red snapper, grouper and shrimp was so fresh and very reasonably priced. We fed 7 adults and 2 kids on $100 worth of seafood and had leftovers!

Only open at certain times. Drive by the lot to see if the trailer is there. The freshest seafood.

Not so good. Was better before the storm. Menu was much smaller and service was mediocre. I'm sorry to post this.

Well.. I came here with high hopes because I love shrimp and it was a island do I figured the shrimp would be better from Florida then in Ohio. We got there at dinner time and were seated right away. We were given bread to snack on and the menu was pretty good the food was definitely pricey but it was a seafood place so of course it was expensive. I ordered the shrimp in garlic and I had had it before at other restaurants and was excited to try it here. The rest of my family got there food but mine was far behind we had asked and it was always one more minute. Finally it came out and it looked ok but it was really smelly. The shrimp tasted rubbery and the vegetables were wet the best part was the baked potato it had sour cream and butter it was delicious. The severs were friendly and helpful. I Guess I would come back but I would order something else

Updated since last visit: Doug's family have done a good job keeping things working over there, and the kid working is just as witty as Doug was. Hope they keep up the fantastic work.

We've been in Sanibel Island for a family event and had dinner last night at Timbers. First, the service was incredible! Our server, Ginny, couldn't do enough to make the occasion that much more special. And, more so, because we were there (16 of us) well after closing. The staff was accommodating, courteous and shared our enjoyment of celebrating two birthdays and a special anniversary. The food was delicious, creatively prepared and, for a small resort town, well prepared for some special dietary needs. Highly recommend Timbers for Sanibel Island enjoyment!

Grouper was cooked well, no real flavor to it, added lemon for some flavor. Raw oysters were small but fresh tasting. Smoked fish dip was good not great but good. Overall enjoyed the casual dining experience.
