No stars this company is useless customer service is HORRIBLE they sent us out in a car with 3 bad tires and we were traveling from New Jersey to Florida!!!!Worst company Ever especially the one that gave us the car in Jersey .

*twice* I've been to this location and had to wait like two hours for a car. An hour at the counter, then they send you to the garage and wait another hour for a car. They don't have cars on site and need to have a valet bring each one to the garage. Never again. Payless-Avis-Budget are the same outfit by the way.

Good luck getting anyone on the phone when you call this location and then the call gets forwarded to a foreign call center where you get caught up in a horrible automated system. I will never rent another car from Avis

If I could give them zero I would. Called me 40 minutes before picking up and told me they over sold and had no cars had to go to a different location to get the rental. Avoid this location and use hertz it’s better and more reliable

Had car reservation to pick up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Arrived at 9:50 for 10am pick up. Totally understaffed. Only 2 people working inside. Husband waited in long line and we finally got the rental at 12:30pm. Dropped off in St. Augustine with no problems. Will not be using this Ft. Lauderdale location again.

Very difficult to find someone at this location. I also had an awful experience with their foreign call center. Awful service!!

Awful, went to pick up a confirmed order and there was no one even at the desk. Called AVIS and they couldn't get a hold of the manager. Do NOT do business with this location. Absolutely terrible.

Had a confirmation number and even called before coming to location, was told they did not have a car for me with no explanation. Never book with them you cannot trust them.

A little hard to find, it's in the main building at St. Augustine airport, but the sign says rental return around the side.

My trip started late bc there wasn't an agent to give me the car and no one available when I dropped it off either. Avis needs to fix this operation.
Btw: rental car companies need to get away from "vehicle model or similar" customers want to know what they're getting. I will be using the Turo app w/ insurance from now on.

I would call before I got there, because there are no vehicles in this company in any of their four locations in St. Augustine !!!! You can not call it car rental because there are no cars to rent !!! It's a joke!

Avis in general is great but this agency, not so much. Agent had marked me as a no-show and left around 1pm for a noon pickup on a thursday. Still, I was able to take a car with no paperwork after calling the agent on his cell phone, so it was not a disaster. Likewise on returning the car at 9:30am on a Wednesday, no agent present. Tried to put the keys in the lock box at the counter but the slot is too small. I said to the room in general, "what a mickeymouse operation" and a gentleman waiting said, "yeah it is, I can't get my car til he comes in." I've had better luck over the years at the Avis agency over on S.R. 16—I'll remember that next time.
