I was in town and walked in wanting to cut my dog's nails. I asked if they could do the service and the person sitting there asked me if his rabies vaccination was up to date. I answered yes, my dog has had the three-year vaccine. I showed him the badge and he told me he needed another proof. I don't know what other test to teach. We are from Miami and I thought that the clinic might have something that scanned the license plate number or something like that (in short, we are in different cities but the same state). Anyway, we couldn't cut his nails there. I think the process for a nail trim could be a little simpler. It is always a pleasure to return to San Agustín, to the clinic, for the first and last time.??

Love the staff. Sometimes hard to get in to see them. Online appointments are always at least a week out, but calling usually gets you in sooner.

We called and was able to get in quickly, we called to have our dog put to rest. Yes I know sounds terrible, but we are trying to do what is best for him. We get there and the tech evaluates our pup. He is between 13-15, we adopted him from the pound 3 years ago. We inform them of his inability to hold his bowel movements, has trouble seeing, gets very confused, has growled at our kids, just not sure of what’s going on with himself. He comes off as a happy pup and really is at heart, just not having a happy life as he used too. After the vet evaluated him she stated that he is a happy dog then proceeded to cry and saying she just can’t do such a thing. Putting her own feelings above the animals well being. I don’t see how that is professional in any way. And I really don’t see how his pain should be prolonged because of how she feels.

They take great care of my 3 dogs with many helpful tips. I have the plan for them as well. The cost works out less expensive then taking the dogs to their original local vet. It's about half the cost. I have a large Gsd puppy, a medium Mcnab pup and a Sheltie. Banfield is meeting all of their needs and mine they even helped with DNA testing for the 1st 2 since they were rescues.

My daughter and I took her cat to see the vet because he appeared to be having some trouble with urinating. The vet was very nice but the issue I have is with the tech Shannon. She was not kind at all. My daughter has high anxiety and the tech wanted us to leave her cat there so that they could do the exam and a urine test Even though we had an appointment. When my daughter said she did not want to leave him the tech got upset and said we’d have to wait over an hour. My daughter said that was perfectly fine But both of us could tell that the tech was super upset. However, that wasn’t the worst part. When they did come in to do the exam, they were trying to get a temperature on the cat and the tech was very rough with him. I told my daughter she could pet him while the tech was holding onto him. The tech got super mad at her and told her not to touch the cat because it might scratch or bite my daughter. My daughter has three cats, and it used to be bitten and scratched. And honestly, it is her cat and she should be allowed to comfort it. My vet has always allowed me to comfort my pet while they are doing an exam or procedure. My daughter was sobbing, so I went to pet the cat and the tech gave me the dirtiest look and very forcefully said you can not pet him. We stepped away in shock. My daughter’s cat got very agitated, and the tech just seemed very annoyed by the whole thing.. she was rough, putting the cat back in his carrier as my daughter sobbed. It was a truly shocking and horrible experience and honestly, the tech should not be around animals.

I have used them once before -- and forgot how they are like those dentist offices that like to up sale you constantly in the first 15+ minutes.Today was worse -- first I had a 1:45 appt, yes, I had an appt. When the nurse came into the room -- she informs me the vet just left for lunch -- it was at 1:43, and I asked how they can make appts when a vet is at lunch? She didn't realize I had an appt -- so I assume that is their typical response - since they likely always have walk-ins, then she said -- well, I'm not sure I just got back from lunch; however (IMO) she probably saw him leave -- and has the nerve to say to me -- "well, you know vets need to eat too." Seriously -- that's not why I was upset -- I was angry because you shouldn't "schedule" appts during lunch hours.First, we were there since my dog had a skin issue -- she didn't look at, and immediately said it's likely he needs a Cytpoint shot. He's on Apoquel -- twice a day, maybe he did, but she wasn't the vet and didn't even examine him. Right away -- told me my checkout was $200+ without any examination of what he really needs.Understand these shots are close to $200. Then on the heartworm and flea -- control - I told her immediately we don't need any of it. I purchase all from The Humane Society -- where the costs are very reasonable -- including the Cytopoint shot if he needed it.Then she says -- 'well, after the vet examines him, he will call you.' Excuse me -- I want to be with my dog to show them the exact issues. That was when she informed me -- he had just left for lunch.Needless to say -- we walked out -- I wasn't going to sit there wondering when the vet comes - and I can't even see the vet (not to mention there were several clients in front of us) - so when he got back from the lunch he is entitled to, we were not first in line.I booked this appt on a Saturday -- since they said they had an appt -- my regular vet was closed. Needless to say, thankfully it wasn't urgent medical care for my dog--we will be back to the traditional vet's office this week. No up sales!I don't recommend them at all. When we went the first time -- I recalled the vet coming out to talk to us, but it also refreshed my memory on how the vet tech tried to sell us a bunch of stuff before he was ever seen by the vet.My dog has been there once for anal gland expressions -- I had to ask, "were they full" -- they are less than anxious to speak with pet parent.Typically, the receptionist is nice - today was very flat.I'm done with Banfield Pet Hospital. To the owner’s response below:You asked for a brief description of today's experience -- I believe I wrote a fairly lengthy one above. I'm not sure what more I can share with you. If you are real -- not a bot (which I don't believe you are) -- simply email me, let's set up a phone appt or you can gather my personal info when you email me -- it will be the same experience you read above.Google reviews allows business owners to see our email address. You could also contact Banfield Pet Hospital and find out my contact information -- from the date and time of my appt -- if you were serious about hearing more. Like with online reputation mgt -- when you receive negative feedback, you are assuming by showing an answered/addressed a complaint, it resolves it.I did not hear from anyone.

these people do not care for animals or their well-being, they only care about the money! and they are sooo rude at this location. I’ve used Banfield for years at Palm Coast, and moved up to St Aug and came here and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. please avoid at all cost!

I have been taking my pets to Banfield for the last few months. When I was initially looking for a vet I was floored to see the reviews for Banfield, but I went there anyways because of the convenient location. My experience with them has been absolutely PHENOMENAL! Everyone that I have interacted with at Banfield has been very knowledgable, kind towards my pets and me, and responsive to any questions or concerns I've had. I'm not sure what's caused others to leave the low reviews they have, but do not be discouraged from trusting Banfield US-1 with your pets! I highly recommend having your pets cared for here!
