The perfect BB getaway. Am always concerned booking with a quaint BB because of some of my awful previous experiences of old smelling rooms that come with it. Lo and behold, not at Carriage Way. We wanted a room with king size bed but we were late in booking so we booked Silver Room ( one of the cottages with queens size bed). First choice was the Emerald Room but was taken already. Diamond room was recommended however we cannot do tub. That was the best room imo because it comes with its own parking spot. Anyway, our room was spotless and fresh smelling. Tastefully decorated , shower comes with body sprays, lots of towels , bath robes were provided , etc. Location was the best! Right at the center of historical district and yet you will not hear noise at night. Important, they have parking. So loved it there. So Highly recommended.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Centennial House. Our bed was very comfortable, there was plenty of room to spread out, and at breakfast we were treated like royalty. It was close to all of the action and an easy and safe walk any time of the day or night back to the Inn. We would definitely stay here again!

This inn is amazing! I recently stayed for a birthday vacation and I was treated like a Queen. The staff was exceptional with 5 star customer service. The room was clean, vintage design customized with trendy features like a triple head shower. I was gifted a bottle of champagne waiting for me in my room. Their hot breakfast was "home" cooked goodness and the menu included different options to the base plates daily. They are perfectly centered in the historic district within walking distance to downtown. It like visiting old friends or family with an upscale flair. I will definitely be back and have referred others. Thanks a million Carriage Way for a wonderful and restful stay.

Recently stayed at Carriage Way in the Sapphire room and we loved our stay.Very cozy B&B, staff (especially the owner), were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice, very vintage feel, our room even had a claw foot tub.The breakfast was amazing and I'm not usually a breakfast guy, they served us Creme Brulee French toast, a fruit scone (raspberry or apple cinnamon), sausage, and a in house made fruit cup. They also have a mini fridge with sodas and water, as well as snacks available at all hours of the day. We'll definitely be back for more visits and highly recommend it!One important note, they do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to stay, so definitely plan accordingly.

This bed and breakfast was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. We loved that the lobby was open 24 hrs and that we could get most any beverage we wanted. The location was perfect. We left our car in their parking lot and walked everywhere we wanted to go. We booked the Emerald Room, which was private, located outside of the main building, and perfect for a romantic getaway. Beware though, this room shares a door with the kitchen, and you may hear the staff talking and laughing early in the morning. But that was ok with us; the breakfast was delicious!

Great Value, Staff, and location.Had a lovely stay in the toumaline room for my boyfriend's birthday. The room was clean and the beds are comfortable! There is complimentary wine, beverages and cookies 24/7 which was a pleasant surprise. The front porch and balcony are a great place to sit and enjoy, we liked the swing bench. Breakfast wasnt amazing. It was pretty light, not too filling-- had fruit, a piece of ham, a scone and french toast served to us but the staff was so kind and accomodating, parking was convenient and location was perfect. Will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting St Augustine.

Nestled in the heart of downtown St. Augustine, this historic hotel is a gem that effortlessly intertwines the past with modern comfort. Its prime location allows guests to explore the city's treasures with mere steps, making it an ideal hub for discovering the area's rich history and vibrant culture. What sets this establishment apart is its unmistakable familial charm, evident in the warm hospitality provided by Jessica and her mother, who elevate the experience with their genuine care and attention to detail. Four poster beds - extravagant bed linens - spa robes and claw footed bathtubs. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an ambiance that feels more like visiting a beloved family friend's home rather than a hotel. The sumptuous breakfast offerings are a culinary delight, crafted with love and attention, setting the perfect tone for a day of exploration or relaxation. Take a glass of sherry in your room - and lavender aromatherapy wrap - or any of the wines that are readily available. Whether you're drawn to the historical sites or the city's vibrant energy, this establishment's proximity to everything ensures an unforgettable stay. For a seamless blend of comfort, historic allure, and personalized care, this charming family-run hotel in downtown St. Augustine is an absolute must-visit.

My husband and I needed a quick 24-hour getaway to relax and unwind. He found this amazing place, and we decided to give it a shot. Upon getting there, we were greeted by the most wonderful, smiling faces in Jess and her staff. They were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. She offered us a welcome beverage and, during check-in, took a genuine interest in us and our plans for the time we were there. She gave some excellent suggestions of things to do and places to see while we were there. Our room was extremely comfortable, they are well situated just far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful but a "hop, skip and a jump" away from everything you want to see and do! We truly enjoyed every bit of our stay at The Carriage Way Inn Bed & Breakfast. We've definitely found our new "home away from home" for the next time we go to St Augustine.Walkability: Everything is within walking distance of this location.

It has been several years since we have stayed in a Bed & Breakfast, we normally are booking with Airbnb's. HOWEVER, we were amazingly surprised on how much we missed the B&B experience. Marcia & Jess are a power team, hubby and I did not need or want for anything. Our room had amenities that were thoughtfully arranged, one thing is the Sherry, they had Sherry in the room that makes for such a wonderful night cap. Both Marcia and Jess were attentive and hospitable. We truly enjoyed our time at this splendid B&B. No more Airbnb, we will be back at the Carriage Way Inn!!!!!!!

There's a reason why the Carriage Way Inn has been voted the best Bed & Breakfast in St Augustine for 6 years in a row. It's tops in every way.The Inn offers 14 "modern vintage" guest rooms filled with interesting antique furniture and unique decor in each room. The living room is warm and comfortable with an array of seating to encourage guests to relax, chat with the other guests and enjoy a glass of wine, a soda, and a variety of fresh baked cookies after a hard day of touring St Augustine. The staff prepares a made-to-order breakfast each morning. During our short visit we enjoyed eggs & ham in a "basket" (biscuit) with a side of fresh fruit and a danish. When a few of us requested eggs & cheese in lieu of the ham & eggs, they were happy to accommodate us. Our second breakfast consisted of delightful pumpkin pancakes with homemade whipped cream and crushed pecans along with fresh fruit (different than the previous day!) and sausage links. Coffee and tea are available all day along with the aforementioned soft drinks and wine.Sandy, the General Manager & an owner, creates a welcoming atmosphere. She is very friendly and patiently answered all of our questions. And she provided useful recommendations for things to do and places to dine. When one couple in our group had an issue climbing the stairs to their room, Sandy was able to switch them to a different room and refunded the price difference. The Carriage Way Inn is conveniently located to many attractions withing the Historic District of St Augustine. The entire facility was amazingly clean and well kept. We will definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone who wants to visit St Augustine.

My boyfriend and I decided the morning of to spend a long weekend in St. Augustine. I have been there a bunch but this was my boyfriends first time. I knew I needed to make it memorable. The second I saw The Carriage Way Inn, I was hooked! The hospitality, warm welcome, and location were top notch. We were greeted with fresh baked cookies! Who else does that?! The Inn was very clean and tidy. You are close enough to the action of St. George Street and the waterfront, but far enough away to not be disturbed by the crowds. This bed and breakfast is an absolute no brainer! We can't wait to come back later this year around the holidays! Thanks to the staff for being so gracious to us! See y'all soon!
