Dr Paper is amazing! She truly cares about all her kitty patients. She has shown incredible patience with my grouchy alpha cat who growls the whole time we're there. She offers valuable advice and always keeps costs low. I would recommend her in the highest regard.

Can I give it a 0 star? Stupid vet was not using her own so o picked it up to write down some of the things she was saying. She said "I'll grab another pen." Really "b" your were not using the one on the damn table. What was the issue with me writhing stuff down. You are talking about shit so someone that doesn't even have money to do buy shit and your mad because I'm getting the info for me? "B" I got money and none of will go into this place. I will say the assistant was super friendly and awesome with Febe. Also (customer) if your trying to teach your child how to drive them parking behind someone would be a lesson for Him to learn. I pulled all the way up and he had plenty of room to park behind me. He wouldn't be out in the road if he had someone teaching him how to driver properly. Another one that will be out on the road soon that will not know how to drive. See pic posted. Crazy...

Dr. Paper and staff are wonderful! My kitty (15 yrs old) was treated with care. She actually did not have a hissy fit, which she usually does at the vets office. She had a bad flea allergy, which was treated. Excellent advice. No up charges which I have experienced with previous vets. Highly recommend. Can't believe some of the reviews on here. Truly think it's just sour grapes!

STAY AWAY!!! from this Vet, as the other reviewers mentioned Vet Paper has no ability to turn off her elitest attitude and make you feel at ease with the care of your cat. She's overly pushy, and only wants to up sell anything you didn't come in for- and like the other reviewers you will walk out feeling taken for all your $$.

I've been going to them for years and highly recommend Dr Paper and her staff. I like that she offers alternative and non-traditional modalities.

We brought our cat to this clinic for grooming and were charged $178 for a lion's cut. When we challenged the charge, Dr. Paper, the owner of the clinic, said that she had to purchase new clippers, new equipment, and pay her employees more, and needed to charge that much to cover her costs. Fortunately, we had declined her suggested pre-grooming examination and blood tests. The blood tests alone were an additional charge of $90- $165. We had her examined at the same clinic 6 months prior to being groomed. We feel that the exorbitant charge for the grooming may have been in retaliation for not acquiescing to the exam and blood tests. We had dropped our cat off at 8:30 AM, as requested, and she was not ready to be picked up until after 5:00 PM. She came back traumatized! She was trembling, had an elevated heart rate and would not come out from under the bed. The following day we had to take her to another vet, incurring additional charges, who confirmed her elevated heart rate and noticed a heart murmur that Dr. Paper did not notice. The heart murmur could have been caused by the trauma and anxiety that the cat had experienced while undergoing a simple grooming. Hopefully it will subside. She had not experienced this type of trauma in her two previous groomings. Previously, Dr. Paper prescribed Revolution for Dogs as a flea/tick/heartworm medication. This is a cat clinic only! She charged us $50 for one vial. A six pack can be purchased online for $121.

I was quite worried about having my ragdoll cat groomed, basically shaved. I just did not keep up with her brushing and so she got terrible matts and was in distress. She needed to be sedated and i was nervous about that. Anastasia Cat Clinic's groomer did an amazing job, she got a nice neat trim. He is both professional and nice. Hopefully I will keep up with keeping my cat's fur in shape, but I will be taking her there next summer for sure.

Adequate care. Be ready for a guilt trip if you aren't a nervous nelly running into the vet constantly. The cat boarding is cage only, not good for a normal active cat.

To the lost soul who posted the negative comments labeling Dr. Paper (Anastasia Cat Clinic) as "incompetent" -- You're in the minority, Bro.' To repeat the musical question put forth by Bob Dylan years ago: "How Does It Feel... To Be On Your Own??? " Something's missing from that picture you painted; because, whether on-line or on the 'street,' Dr. Paper is the subject of RAVE reviews from the local cat community -- whereas, your review reads like that of a a bitter man with a "hidden" agenda. Hopefully, this is merely a reflection of your grief over the loss of your pet. Very sad to learn that your cat passed -- but willing to bet that this loss was more about events that transpired BEFORE you turned him/her over to Dr. Paper's care -- and far LESS about the so-called "misinformation" you attribute to Dr. Paper. Any chance someone out there was not doing enough, not soon enough -- e.g., too little, too late, for your pet to be saved? Always a heartbreak, but... ??? I've had my cats in Dr. Paper's care for two years running. I've kept scores of cats long-term, over the years. Experience tells me that it's a rare vet that offers the degree of in-depth attention, time and compassion that Dr. Paper puts into her work. As a bonus, she's forward-thinking and open-minded enough to study and apply both 'conventional' AND non-traditional forms of treatment & therapy. Our doctors should only HOPE to approach this (her) approach when tending and administering to humans Finally, her fees are BEYOND fair and "reasonable," give the time and attention she provides. If this doesn't say it all, one visit to the Anastasia Clinic will -- Feline rescues everywhere, bounding from cat condo tree to floor... floor to front desk... desk to visitors; ' all happy in their home... active, playful, healthy wards of the "Paper" State. Show me any place like it, anywhere in St. Augustine. If rains, winds and tidal waves (and a generous, keen sense-of-humor) were feline vets, Dr. Paper (& staff) would be the perfect storm. Gratitude and kudos to the Good Women at the Anastasia Cat Clinic .

They are great! They have a love for cats and it's obvious in their work. I also like that they aren't trying to rob you blind and try to find affordable options to vaccinate your cat and care for them. Highly recommended!
