I'm giving this business a 5 star because they provided me with personable service. I own a vacation home in St Augustine and live out of the country. My sales person Karl was exceptional - he is a great listener, and he helped me figure out what I needed with limited information. There were issues with the installation, and the installer could not really provide much details on what we could do to help resolve the issue. I contacted the store and a sales guy by the name of Bobbie decided to "man-splain" things to me without taking the time to listen to the customer. He is a poor listener, very impatient, argumentative and just absolutely rude - truly the opposite to Karl. Watch out for Bobbie. After he said his manager will call me I didn't hear back soI called the next day. Was relieved to get my sales guy Karl on the phone. Karl listened attentively, understood the issue and knew he needed his managers help. He spoke to his manager and before you know it, the manager Danial was at my condo providing me with one on one solutions. What a wonderful relief and their efforts were much appreciated. It revived my faith in my decision to always support the small business - the personal touch is always appreciated. Karl and Danial more than made up for the rudeness experienced by Bobbie the sales man. The issue was resolved and so for that they deserve a 5 star.

I bought my appliances from Clark. I went into the store after speaking with Bobby. He was helpful as I was the only person in the store. All my appliances were the brand Cafe. By GE. The range was the first to arrive and the fan was bent. GE had to come out to look at the new Cafe Range. The fan needed to be replaced on a brand new model. Bobby made the appointment and that was it. It took months and many phone calls to get an update on the other appliances. Delays continued. I was the one that had to keep calling and hoping to get someone to answer the phone. Daniel the manager would send a text message to speak. I finally got my refrigerator/freezer yesterday. It was installed by Jason. He’s fantastic.My hood that I purchased also came yesterday with my refrigerator /freezer and it was not installed. Jason the installer called the store and he had to wait for someone to respond back to him. After a long time, they finally responded. The hood was left in the box. I paided to have the hood installed and it was not installed. I received a call yesterday afternoon from Daniel telling me a person would call me this morning to arrange for the hood to be installed. Well no one called. I called the store at 10 am no response. I could leave a voicemail message. I did. That was the first of many calls. The store is opened and no response nothing. So, I have a Cafe hood in my living room in a box and no one to install it. No return call, no responses. These appliances were not cheap. I waited a very long time to get them and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service Clark appliances has provided to me. They were happy to take my money but not happy to service the customer. Would I encourage anyone to go there? You decide. Good luck trying to call them and get a response. According to another reviewer, they walked in and were ignored. What a shame the Clark family who owns this store does not read the reviews. I am sure they would not be happy with the way their family owned business is being handled.5.31.2023 update-The electrician (not associated with Clark’s appliances)came out this morning to install and hook up the hood. Very professional . It’s not the correct hood. He reached out numerous times to Daniel no response. It took several calls and text messages till he was able to get ahold of him. I called Clarks at 9:05 am and spoke with Bobby. I explained the situation and he hung up on me when I told him this is not the correct hood. He stated other things in between which I will not state. I have now spoken with my legal counsel regarding this matter. I will keep all posted. I am hopeful this will be resolved quickly and positively.Update 6.2.2023- the hood was picked up and returned. Credit was received and posted to my credit card.

Wes expecting a del today between 10-12. No call no update. Called the office and they put me on hold for 20 minutes. Todd is the rudest person I have ever talked to on the phone. They have terribly poor customer service and communication. Would steer clear of this place. I try and support local businesses but after today’s events I will never support Clark again.

We wanted to do business with a local appliance dealer. We walked into the store this afternoon and only one salesperson was there and on the phone. He NEVER acknowledged our presence (we were the ONLY people in the store). We looked around for about 10 minutes waiting for the salesperson to get off the phone, which he never did…So we just decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. We understand the importance of phone calls but not the rudeness of not being acknowledged in any way. Lost sale, lost business!

We went in there today to look at some new washer/dryers due to the incompetency of lowes down the street.The employees that were working were outstanding, very knowledgeable and helpful in picking out the new appliances.They were even able to deliver them the next day!Support local businesses for sureWe ended up getting a much better product for a few extra dollars.Great company all around .

Bought dishwasher there 5 years ago, as snowbirds, it has only had about 2 yrs normal use, circuit board failed, so, went back for better model, which cost about 30% more than same unit at HD, bought anyway. It worked once, then would not turn on, all wiring is correct, went to store to get it uninstalled, clerk was insulting, rude, would not back the merchandise. Tech uninstalled it, but did not plug the drain hole in disposal, we washed some dishes by hand, flooded our cabinet and floor. These people are terrible, had to wait long time as both clerks were taking complaints from others. Go big box, small appliance stores have lost their advantage.

Every thing about this store is great, prices, customer service, and especially delivery. They are installing a dishwasher right now, and he brought in his own shop vac to clean up my mess before he put in the new dishwasher. Now that is service!

Clark's is one of my Go To favorite appliance stores in NE Florida. I wanted specifically a Speed Queen Washer. They have them in stock. Friendly, accommodating, delivering and installing sooner than expected. Worth the trip in South St. Augustine.

So after about 20 years of doing business with Clark's I now have to give up on them. It's such a shame. Tried ordering a new stove. They never acknowledged receiving my email. I called them twice and got promises. My tenant also called them, but she was unable to reach them. Nobody ever called her back. As much as I hate to say it- it's just down to Home Depot now.

I always try to buy local rather than big box stores, but that definitely backfired on me in this case. I had a dishwasher installed, with installed meaning it was pushed into place. Because of a suspected electrical issue, the installer left me with a $600 paperweight. I called to ask for my old top-quality dishwasher back, offering to pay a restocking fee and a second delivery fee, but no response. I addressed my concerns in writing and received this response: "Why wouldnt you ask for jason to leave old dishwasher if you found out after we installed new unit you had an electrical issue ? all of this sounds weird and i will address it with jason tomorrow ." Guess what? Never heard back. Attempted to contact in writing and via telephone again... no response. Long story short, if you have any sort of problem, don't expect anything but defensiveness and then radio silence.
