This is one of my favorite places to stay in St. Augustine.

Rooms are nice. Had a two room suite. $40 to park for a night and have to use valet! Stayed to walk the beach, rest and sleep in. Had the pleasure of an early morning fire alarm. Had to get dressed to get the family out. Didn't see the map for escape from an upper floor in the room, went to the elevator and an employee was telling guests to get in the elevator. Stayed outside for about an hour. Tried to go back to room and sleep in and the cleaning ladies kept knocking on the door wanting to know if we were checking out. Had late check out for noon, couldn't sleep from all the noise. No apologies from the hotel and nothing comped to try and make up for it.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites for a night to attend a concert at the Amphitheater and had a great time. The room was spotless and the property was a joy to stay in. It was a short drive to historic St Augustine and very close to the Amphitheater. It was right on the beach. The evening reception was good and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The pool was amazing. The only criticism is for parking and elevators. They force you to pay for valet parking. There is no self-parking option. Also, there was only one set of elevators on the far opposite side of our room. A hotel that size should have a second set of elevators on both wings of the property. I still gave it 5 stars because those were minor compared to everything else.

Very nice location on the beach (for an anniversary stay) and a few restaurants across the street.
I love the security feature of needing your room key to access elevator and stairwell, so no one can come wandering in, they'd have to be let in. However, there are no cameras in the stairwell.
Main courtyard area, before the pool, has some drainage issues, from the rain.
The hotel info lists a couple of restaurants in the resort but there is only one functioning, so info should be updated to reflect the ONE restaurant,
Harvest and Reel, which has decent food at comparable prices.
Biggest gripe is the $40 a day valet parking. That price is hefty, given that the resort doesn't guarantee theft/loss of vehicle.
Plus, if you don't use the service everyday, you're paying a storage fee for the car, and you're already paying to stay there.
Lastly, I got upcharged (for the room) and I shouldn't have, but thankfully Jianna (receptionist) adjusted the billing without a problem. Overall the stay was good.

I upgraded to a balcony room with an ocean view. I would have hardly called it ocean view. We could view a sliver if we looked to the left. Our room did not get cleaned until we asked and even then, the carpet wasn’t vacuumed. The wall mounted shampoo and conditioner was out and I requested more, I was handed 2 bottles instead of it being installed on the wall mount. The only day we could use the pool, it was closed. My son wanted to rent a surf board the morning before we left and it wasn’t available. A ceiling panel fell open in our room and no one came to fix it even after I asked them to. The valet parking was $40 a day but I received texts asking for tips every time they move my car. After taxes and fees, I paid $600 per night. I expected more.

This hotel has a great location. It is a great beachside resort that includes cook to order breakfast and afternoon happy hour. The rooms are well appointed. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The Rhum Bar has a super awesome bartender named Cori. She was fantastic!! This was our 2nd stay. While most everything is great there are a couple of very annoying things. First, they charge a $40 parking fee per day. No other choice! It is all valet. They text you a link to have your car brought around. Once you ask for your car a tip screen comes up starting a $7 + a .99 fee. Second, they have tip jars EVERYWHERE!!! We were advised by some staff to watch our bills because they have started adding 20% gratuity to all food and drink checks. I just feel it is an overkill!

I booked for my husband's birthday staycation, aaand never again. We were hoping for an earlier check in but no biggie, we knew it wasn't a guarantee, however when we had to push to get into a room at the 4pm check in time, we were told it was still unavailable. They offered to switch rooms, which I wish we knew was an option in the first place bc we didn't care what room. Finally got a key card around 4:30, opened the door to someone's luggage and the shower running?!!! We're so lucky we didn't actually run into the guests staying in there. I would think this is a pretty serious situation, but they didn't seem to care too much, giving us a $22 credit, and a different room, which we finally to settled into closer to 5pm. The rooms are nothing special, and actually the bed and pillows are awful! Being locals, we wanted to drop our luggage and bicycle over early to enjoy the pool, but they wouldn't hold our luggage for us, so we were forced to use valet. When we got the car back, there was a notification of a low tire in which we found a nail, and usurpingly they won't do anything about that either. Given the price of a room, we expected a much better experience.

They charge you $40.00 a day to park your car at the hotel you rented! AND they expect tips everytime you need your vehicle! Its very deceiving when you book as they dont state its 40.00 PER night!!! I almost lissed a reservation because i couldnt get my car as it was blocked in!
