Fighting Chance is a top notch gym with a lot of class times to choose from. I’ve tried all the BJJ and Yoga classes and haven’t had a bad instructor. My kid is equally happy with our chosen gym family. Haven’t tried the Muay Thai; but it’s on my list as I’ve heard great things. Come see for yourself if you’re thinking of joining a gym.

Oh my, great place and great people!
It is fun, respectful...hard...teaches discipline and a skill at the same time, but in a really GOOD way.
My girls have been in and out over 10 years (wow has it been that long!?) depending on their school schedules. They keep coming back b/c there is so much encouragement and confidence-building from the instructors and especially owners.
I can't believe this is the first time I've written a review...everyone has always been so supportive with no question of the excellence of the staff, but I heard a Karen spreading some lies and had to say, no way, I LOVE this place!!!

Kids classes regularly start late and then they run over. A class was cancelled without notification, and we've had difficulty reaching anyone via their Instagram or email. This is our first time in a jiu jitsu gym so not sure the typical requirements, but they added the need for a different shirt for kids practices, and gave the kids the option to earn the shirt by staying late and doing more workouts, or having parents purchase the new gear. Would not recommend the kids program if you are a new parent and unfamiliar with the sport, we've felt time management and communication has been pretty rough, and like our time aside from the gym hasn't been respected due to the regular late starts and lack of communication. There are a lot of black belts and I think they do great work instructing the kids during class. Everyone is kind and observant with the kids, helping them stay engaged and learn.

This is a review/warning for any mothers who are looking to get your kids into martial arts. I am not the first parent to complain and I won't be the last. We were members at Fighting Chance Fitness for 2 years, we did not "drift in", two years invested with zero complaints. Until there was a new management and coaching "style". The owners son (shown below) was beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. Poor behavior for a human being in general. After today I truly don't want any parent or child to endure this treatment from an establishment that you've trusted your child with. My child is not perfect, that I am aware... but this grown man went beyond any sort of "constructive criticism" straight to cruel, hateful, disrespectful words and name calling of a 7 year old boy. They're pushing out anyone who prefers the previous coaching to this new coaching which is subpar and not effective for children. Calling a woman a l***** and a 7 year old child a baby... wow, what a man. Luckily onlookers sent me screen shots since they were so appalled, before he tried to delete all of them from his post. Also please read all of this before jumping to conclusions, he is not truthful in his comments and quickly deleted the screen shots of what he said about my son and how disrespectful he was. Those screenshots are included below as well. Since I can't leave a review on their page... Fighting Chance Fitness is no longer the gym we've grown to know and love. Change in coaching has resulted in high class numbers and low quality. As a patron of the business, you are not allowed to criticize or question ANYTHING, or your child will be picked apart for paragraphs on end.. Unwarranted and unnecessarily unprofessional. ***A simple question "can my son move to the older class", (to actually learn something, as the little kids class is now simon says and standing around mostly) a simple "No"would of been just fine, not a 5 paragraph dissection of a 7 year old.. some of which I would agree with, most not so much. As a homeschool mother I see my children and their flaws in detail daily.. there is a fine line between constructive criticism and tearing down a small child in order to make yourself feel important. Followed by a grown man boasting himself up and telling of all of his accomplishments (as narcissists do) Other mothers from the gym have messaged me saying his accusations were outrageous because they've never seen bad behavior from my child. Again he's not perfect but he's truly a respectful kid especially at class. So this "man's" outrage which was aimed at me but targeted a 7 yo boy! Simply because the content of the class was no longer at the high level it was before, so I inquired(as consumers usually do) Followed the next day by a post to the entire gym, basically saying my family was too weak for his gym. The disrespect and arrogance that the "leader" of this gym showed was disgusting and I was truly not expecting it. Then to receive an email from his mother, the owner, that your membership is cancelled even thoughI have an older child in a separate class that wasn't even mentioned in this particular encounter. Sad that we have given them our time and money but will take the skills we've learned and move forward. I have referred many to this gym but will no longer be doing so.Beware of those who tell you how great they are; a lion doesn't have to tell you that they're a lion...Fighting Chance Fitness Kids Fighting Chance Fitness

Really nice tribe, willing to help. VERY pricey $$$$, and unless you're willing to pay big bucks, then grab your things and get the hell out.I had a great experience during the two free trial classes. I had about 4 years of experience, on and off due to covid and injuries, and after moving here from out of state was looking for a new home. I thought I had found it.Unless you are planning to go 4-5 days a week, it is not worth the money. No knock on the members of the gym. Only being in two times they knew me by name and greeted me with a smile. But unless you sign that contract, grab your things and get the hell out. It's ok, plenty of other gyms to roll.
