This past weekend i was in St. Augustine for a night and my radiator ended up having a major leak and i could not drive for more than 10 minutes without my truck over heating and i had to get back to Gainesville . I brought my truck to this firestone and after about 4.5 hours of waiting , they told me they would have to REMOVE my engine, and possibly my transmission in order to fix it …..
Me knowing that that absolutely was in no way the correct method of repair for a radiator issue, i ended up having to pay to have my truck towed back to Gainesville cause i wasn’t about to let Firestone pull my engine out of the truck, as well as a transmission, in order to fix a radiator. Needless to say it was pretty comical that me not even being a mechanic, knew better and they didn’t for some reason. I had my truck fixed at a local place in Gainesville that i always use and it took all of 4 hours for them to install a new radiator and water pump.
Moral of the story… this particular Firestone either has employees who have no clue what they are doing, or they tried to run a scam on me to have me pay alot of extra money due to them having to do a bunch of extra work that obviously would not have been necessary. Ill let you come to your own opinion on that .
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Was unable to complete road force balance on my vehicle due to aftermarket wheels i believe. However prior to making the appointment, I called the day before to confirm they could do it noting that the wheels were aftermarket. 2 stars, cause the manager at the time was rude to the person i had drop off the car. However, setting an appt online was quick and easy/they were able to confirm it in no-time flat via email
Fortunately, was able to take it to Toyota where they had me in and out in an hour

It was easy to schedule an appointment, discuss what I needed and have everything there during my appointment so that they could work on the car and deliver it on schedule. They do the right job and are able to do it timely.

Well, it was incredible! I had another roofing nail in my tire on Saturday afternoon. Many places are closed or super busy. I called, and they were very friendly and said sure, bring it in, we can help you out. Super duper kind! So, I drove to the store, and they took my car right in and fixed it (repaired) within 30 minutes or less for minimal money!! I was so thrilled. Seriously, I will be going to them for anything I need done on my car that they can do. It was just fantastic, and the staff was so kind. Thank you for asking. Ten billion star review!!

Very disappointed and sad to leave this. I have used Firestone for almost 8 years now with my vehicle.
I was always VERY happy with their service quality, pricing, and customer service until this visit.
Came in for a promotional inspection and oil change, complaining about three things primarily; the front of my vehicle vibrating heavily, my back right assembly light not working, and my back trunk hydraulic not working.
Two of the three were dealt with correctly, gave me pricing to fix it and recommendations.
Sat here for about 2.5 hours for all of this to take place, for them to come back saying the reason my car is vibrating is because my tires were worn down. (Not at a dangerous point, just that it's time for new tires). I asked 2 times after if everything else was still checked because I have never felt such a vibration, especially given it got worse when hitting bumps - they reassured me that the person who looked at it is "Very thorough" and found nothing else.
To me, this was a red flag - worn down tires would in no way give this result and gave me a weird feeling to go check with the Toyota dealership near me.
A week later (for parts, my car is an 04) and about $1,600 later, my entire steering rack and pinion was almost completely SHOT. Firestone did not look or somehow find this, and I am very disappointed how dismissive they were about the issue.
Completely unacceptable for a place that was suppose to do a full vehicle inspection and was told my worry's and issues with the front and its safety.
Never going back, one red flag too big for my liking.

Took a rental to fix the taillights went to pick the truck up after them having it for over 24hrs. When we picked the truck up we had to go in and tell them the truck mirror had been hit and was broke. They got a nasty attitude about it and asked where we parked it. I told them they parked the truck it has been in their possession over 24hrs. One employee got hateful and told me to talk to a manager. The manager was trying to fix the mirror himself and acted like it was no big deal when I have stated this is not our truck it is a rental they will make us pay for damages. So he finally gets the mirror popped back in and the whole time one of his employees was saying negative things about me to fellow co workers. Well we didn’t check the taillights because we were upset about the mirror. Well we noticed one taillight is still not working. So we called I asked to speak to a manager explained they just had the truck it it was supposed to be fixed he claimed the brake lights were working when we had it. I said it was the taillights. Claims he used the wrong word. By far some of the worst customer service and mechanics that don’t about your property.

The service was great the car was ready before time they let me know recommended services and they didn’t pressure me to get them so I really think this place is great in that manner it turns me off when they pressure you to get repairs done when they just sideline you to get them nice job not doing it makes it feel that it is an honest place

They treated my daughter with total disrespect, she just graduated from college and needs new tires on her car. I told her about the Firestone down the street from her and I had called and talked to them about her car. When she arrived they were trying to be cute and flirt with her, forty-something dudes, so gross. They also treated her as if she was stupid, telling her they would take $20 off so she could go out, while trying to get her to buy $900 tires for a mid-size sedan.

We’ve used Firestone a few times now and have been very impressed by their great customer service, ability to work us into their schedule on short notice and diagnose our car’s issues, and fixing them for a reasonable cost. Thank you!
