Went to fish bites this morning and was greeted by John. My friend and I told him we are new to surf fishing. He was awesome getting us all set up and explained everything down to reel maintenance. Super knowledgeable and just fun to swap stories with. His customer service has made life long customers!! And their selection was amazing. Another highlight was meeting Growler the female tuxedo cat. What a sweet girl!! Thanks again John for all the help. We will see you soon for a cart.

Son wanted to fish off the pier at his campground. Dad knows next to nothing about fishing. Experts at Fishbites got my son up and running in no time with a quality rod and reel. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Went out of their way to help my son have a great time. Thanks to John and all of the friendly staff at Fishbites.

This is awesome. Tackle shop I went in here to look around while I was waiting to. Get unloaded, a home depot. The guys behind the counter were very knowledgeable about their equipment and very friendly. I will definitely be coming back here again. I highly recommend this place.

Itās been over 30 years since Iāve gone offshore fishing, so I was completely clueless about what gear to buy. To get a sense of what was available, I visited four different tackle shops on a Saturday afternoon.
The first shop was eager to show me nothing but high-end trolling rods and reels. When I asked how they compared to mid-tier options, the staff dismissed them, saying they were ājunk.ā It felt more like a sales pitch than genuine advice. At the second and third shops, I spent 10 minutes browsing reels in the cases while the employees behind the counter ignored me, chatting with friends instead of offering any help.
Thankfully, my last stop was Fish Bites, and the experience was completely different. The gentleman behind the counter was helping another customer when I walked in, so I browsed the reels while waiting. During a break in his conversation, he kindly asked how he could help. I explained I was looking to get back into offshore fishing and needed trolling rods and reels. I also mentioned this was just a hobby I was picking up again and that I wasnāt looking for high-end equipment. He told me heād be happy to help with inshore needs but recommended I come back on Monday to speak with Noah, their expert in offshore fishing. I appreciated his honesty and willingness to direct me to the right person rather than trying to push a sale.
My wife and I returned on Monday to speak with Noah, and we were blown away. Noahās knowledge and passion for fishing were apparent from the start. He didnāt push the high-end gear but instead began with affordable options, carefully explaining the differences between price points. I asked a lot of questions about the top-of-the-line reels, and Noah took the time to give me the pros and cons of each. He ultimately recommended that I not spend the money on the higher-end reels. His approach felt thoughtful and genuine, and he wasnāt just trying to upsell us.
In the end, my wife and I purchased four trolling rods and reels, along with four additional reels and two inshore rods, all of which perfectly suit our needs. I canāt recommend Fish Bites and their staff enough! The entire team is knowledgeable and helpful, and Noah is the go-to guy for all your offshore fishing needs. If youāre looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused experience, this is the kind of service that will keep you coming back.
