I had a colonoscopy on 12/15/2023. The care not good due to the person who did my anesthesia needs to be fired. After they rush you out the door. I went home went to bed & hours later still groggy I feel & broke my hip. Had hip replacement at Flagler, still in therapy. Now I have medical bills. After follow up with Dr Pineau with my walker. Told him what happened & he shunned it off. He didn't really care about what I went through. I had this procedure every 3 years for the past 20 years. Last 3 where in Cape Coral. Never an issue after. I called them & asked the anesthesia they use, they gave me the same name as used at borland groover. I told them what happened to me here & their response was whoever the anesthesiologist had to overdose. I am contacting FSMB with a complaint about your clinic. Office was clean anyway.

Highly recommend. Especially Dr. Gassert. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s by Dr. Gassert about 10 years ago. I have had about 7 colonoscopies in that time. My grandma, grandpa, and aunt also all went to the office. My mom recently as well and she is seeing Dr. Gassert. The new building is a lot larger than the old building. I sadly moved to SC 6 months ago so I had to get a new GI, but if I come back to the area (even Jax) I will still come to this office.

I have been using them for several years and am always impressed with the staff and doctors, this was my first time going to the new facility and I was impressed with the whole experience, Dr Soracco always does a great job of explaining everything before and after, I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Was there this morning for a procedure. Absolutely no complaints. Everyone from front end staff to the nurses to the anesthesiologist to Dr Gassert -very friendly, pleasant, professional. Didn’t feel like just another number. Would highly recommend Dr Gassert

Receptionists are ok. They seem disinterested. When I asked questions re the charges/insurance, she kept looking at me like I was stupid. Yes, insurance is confusing, but you don't need to be rude. Why do they think it's OK to treat people so rudely, esp when we are sick??

I'm giving a 3 due to your billing department. Young man voice showed exactly how much he did not want to be bothered. My bill was paid, just had a question.

My stepson had his first ever colonoscopy at the St Augustine site. He arranged for me to drop him off and for his mother to pick him up. As soon as he arrived, he was told by the ladies at the front desk that the procedure would not be carried out unless the assigned person to drive him home was available for communication or on the premises. He was at no time notified prior to his appointment that this would be the case and he felt that the front desk ladies were not helpful and their attitude was on the sarcastic and unprofessional side. Since at that particular moment his mother was unavailable, he got in touch with me and I immediately returned and waited until the procedure was done since my phone will not ring unless the caller is on my contact list. When the procedure was completed, I got a message from nurse Rick that my stepson was in Recovery and I needed to pick him up. I was not able to call back because the number showing up on my phone was for all Borland-Groover offices at large. Instead, I asked the (same) ladies at the front desk if they could notify the nurse in Recovery since I was unable to call back and to let her know that I was ready. They refused continuously saying that I "was not on the list". I can sympathize with privacy requirements but it was frustrating that I was being contacted by Borland Groover personnel and these ladies would not pick up the phone to notify the Recovery nurse that I was there. Or, even get up (they had been idle the whole time I was waiting) and walk twenty steps to the back and let them know what was happening. Instead, they sent me to the side Patient Pick up which, unless someone bangs on the glass door, has no way to indicate to the people inside that there are drivers waiting. I was fortunate that a nurse came out with another patient and I asked her to notify the proper individual that I was outside and ready to pick up their patient. My stepson was satisfied with everyone directly involved with his procedure but neither one of us cared for the front desk treatment.

Do not get your endoscopy done by Emily Poland . She was a mean doctor who didn't care or offer advice . It was my first one and she made me so scared before the anesthesia.

Great experience. My consultation appointment was on time fast and efficient. It did take several weeks to get the procedure done. However everyone was incredibly nice and professional. From the front desk staff, to my nurse David and of course Dr Cortes. They are super efficient but not at the expense of compassion and humor. While I don’t look forward to going again I am not afraid to. Thank you!

i called at 10am and was told they would leave a message and call back they decided to call back at 5:30pm i missed the call and was told to call back in a voicemail so i called back at 5:35pm and the office says it’s closed. this is ridiculous i had an endoscopy done two days ago and was calling regarding symptoms from it being done and wasn’t taken seriously. the co pay was insane and i can’t even receive quality service? do not recommend.update got a call back from the on call doctor at 7:30pm and was told nothing can be done until the morning even though i have new and worsening symptoms and haven’t been given any type of medication or treatment for them.
