Was told by the employee he couldn’t embroider three hats with a Simple logo because he was too busy and by himself at the store in Saint Augustine. Pretty ridiculous it doesn’t take long, I won’t be coming back and won’t recommend this place to anyone.

The only person that can use the custom embroiderer (manager) only works on the weekend. But that doesn’t matter because you have to go online and spend $35 just for the digitization of your image. That’s before the cost of the hat and the cost of the embroidery.

I wish I could live zero stars but I can’t unfortunately I have to give one star. I went inside the store twice today to get a custom hat. The first time there was a few people inside the store. I told the worker if I can make a custom hat today he said that it was the weekend and he was too busy when it was two people inside the store, then later that afternoon, we went back to the store to try and get the custom hat again there was only one customer at the store. We asked him If you can do it now he said this weekend they are busy. When clearly, there was only one customer, I brought it up to him. He was on his phone while I was talking to him. And he said that it’s too busy during the weekend he told me “you can’t take that somewhere else” pretty much kicking me out the store. If there’s something I can’t deal with is with Laziness. And this man does not deserve to work here if he is not doing his job. Employee’s name was Angel Candelario. And this happened on 1/6/2024

This review doesn’t even deserve one star. My husband and I walked in to ask for a customization on a lid. Sales associate advised us it’s the weekend (however there was only one customer and the machine was not running) we told him this and his response was “you can take that somewhere else” we walked out the store. Very upset we couldn’t receive the service we needed. Sales associate clearly didn’t want to work.

Extremely unprofessional, and slow. The worker was more concerned with getting off work and then her coworker was no where to be found and kept running off as she’s trying to transfer the procedure to him. The workers were more concerned with answering cell phone calls and hiding in the back. Worse experience

BAD customer service! I went to a Lids in Gainesville, Florida last month and purchased a hat for my husband for Christmas. He did not think it suited him and we went to our local Lids to return or exchange it. The hat was not used, had all the tags on it and I had a receipt. The receipt says it can be returned within 30 days and nothing on it about returning it to the Lids purchased at. Despite this and the fact that this store (St. Augustine ) is listed on Lids Corporate Website as one of their locations, the man working there (who said he was the manager) refused to take it back, because he did not have that particular hat in stock and it would be "audited and he would get in trouble if he took it back." This was an Adidas hat and they have several others there that were the same hat in a different color. I pointed out that Lids was a national company and they should honor their return policy. Despite this, he refused to take it back. I will never shop at any Lids store again.

Came at 645pm found a will return sign in window for 745pm 15 mins prior to the stores closing time, waited until past 8pm and still no one here? Why lie then to customers! Came at 8:05pm cursed at me and said he had a family emergency while in a bathing suit? Didn’t help me at all made no eye contact with cause he’s a liar! One lesson I’ve learned is don’t lie on your family, bad karma!

When we first went in the associate was busy with other customers but still greeted us. He was friendly and helped us find exactly what we were looking for! I'm very grateful for his help and good customer service!
