Pros: very close to everything. Nice pool. Rooms seemed updated. People at the desk were friendly and helpful.
Cons: room was superficially clean. It looked clean when we arrived but my clean white socks turned black after walking barefoot. This is disgusting. Floors need to be cleaned. That's the most basic thing that needs to be done.
Rooms: Floor was disgusting. Probably not cleaned in months.
Walkability: Near EVERYTHING!! Safe area.

We will certainly be back! Very clean rooms with great lighting over the bathroom sink. Fantastic location. Friendly and helpful associates!
Nearby activities: Great for both couples and families, walkable to all the nightlife but tucked away where it’s quiet.
Walkability: Aside from a short Uber ride just over the bridge to the St. Augustine Amphitheater for a concert, we walked everywhere!
Food & drinks: 5-10 minute walk to amazing restaurants, bars, and coffee shops!

Had an awesome stay over the weekend at the Marion Motor Lodge! The renovations looked great in the rooms. We were in town for a concert at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre which was a very short Uber ride away. Being walking distance to a ton of restaurants and drinks was a huge plus as well. Definitely will be back here again.
Rooms: Updated rooms.
Nearby activities: Tons of activities on water and land nearby.
Walkability: Close to everything we needed.

They do have a parking lot, but it is limited occupancy for cars. The location is great to be able to walk over to the old part of the city for shopping, eating, and drinking. Great view of the river, including The Bridge of Lions.

Excellent motel. Would definitely stay again.
Location was fantastic with excellent view. Very friendly staff. No issues with parking. Clean room. Pleanty of electrical sockets. Only complaint was poor TV quality (stripes present).

The location of the facility is excellent. You are within a short walk of restaurants, bars, the marina and the fort. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean. The queen bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bed was super hard and the pillows were flat.
We enjoyed the location and appreciate the room was clean and the staff was nice. But we will not stay again and would not recommend it just because we didn’t sleep due to the very uncomfortable bed.

I would definitely stay at the Marion Motor Lodge again. It is a great location across from the harbor, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The refurbished rooms are neat and clean. We had a spacious shower with plenty of clean towels. It was ideal for us.

Marion Motor Lodge: Great Location, Needs TLC
The Marion Motor Lodge is a classic motel in a fantastic location right in the heart of St. Augustine's historic district.
Location, Location, Location:
You can't beat the spot! Walking distance to everything you'd want to see in St. Augustine. Plus, the view! Many rooms overlook the Matanzas Inlet, and there's a patio by the lobby where you can relax and enjoy the scenery. History buffs will also love that OC White's Restaurant, a historic building itself, is right next door. They even serve brunch!
Modern Rooms, Some Quirks:
The rooms have been renovated with a modern look, but our experience had a couple snags. We found a hole in the wall in our room, and noise from the restaurant could be bothersome depending on the location of your room. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the main office.
Pet-Friendly with a Price:
The Marion Motor Lodge is pet-friendly, but there is a $30 per night fee. Double-check their website for any size restrictions before booking.
Highs and Lows:
The bed was comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The woman who checked us in even offered our dog a milkbone! However, some of the furniture seemed a bit worn already. Overall, considering the location and the price we paid, it was a good value. The property could definitely use a little upkeep, though.
Additional Information:
● No breakfast available.
● The property features an outdoor pool with a view of the inlet.
● Free Wi-Fi is included.
● Limited on-site parking is complimentary.
● In addition to OC White's, Flagler College and St. George Street (known for its shops and restaurants) are all within a few blocks.
If you're looking for a charming, historic location at a reasonable price, the Marion Motor Lodge is a good option. Just be aware of the potential for some noise and wear-and-tear.
Nearby activities: Heart of downtown Historic District Saint Augustine, FL
Walkability: Close to Flagler College, Lightner Museum, etc
Food & drinks: No food or drinks included

Anyway, the location is great. Both the female and male staff at the front desk were wonderful in their dealings with us foreigners.
I stayed at the hotel next door 20 years ago. Because of those memories, I wanted to stay on this street, and it turned out to be a wonderful hotel as well. It's quiet at night. The soup and steak at the restaurant next door were also good.
Rooms: There is no bathtub. There is a large shower room.
