Perfect for a quiet, couples retreat. Excellent staff and the rooms are great. Well worth the stay. We will definitely stay here again for our next St Augustine visit.

Walked into a room and immediately had to squash a roach. Called the front deak about the ice machine distributing dirty ice and asking that I call them back to see what they suggest to address the issues. Walked down to front to get fresh ice and bucket and was told they are refunding my money and asking me to leave!!!

Love this little hotel! Location was perfect! Far enough from the buzz of the center but close enough by foot! It was quiet, and clean.

We are on a 46' sailboat and there was plenty of room for us on their shiny new docks. Depth at dock was in excess of 20 ft. on the outside slip. Local fisherman said it was closer to 12 ft by the inside slips. Staying in a slip gives you access to the pool, daily happy hour and breakfast, a boater's lounge with laundry and a nice shower, secure facility and super friendly staff. They received packages for us all week and were friendly with our dog. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was an easy walk to several affordable restaurants and bars. We'll definitely be back.

I love staying here, but this trip isn’t as great. First, we had room 203 on the second floor, and it felt like a sauna. The first floor is recently renovated. The second floor is not! The AC couldn’t handle the heat. The bathroom was so hot we couldn’t imagine showering in there.
We were able to move, but the only thing left was 101, which is a queen ADA room. A queen bed is not our preference, but it’s better than the sauna room; however, you can hear everything in room 101. The road noise is very loud, you can hear people walking up the stairs, and you can hear every time the gate slams.
We stayed in 105 or 106 before and it was great! Just beware of rooms 203 and 101 if you don’t like to sweat or hear everything.

Great boutique hotel with the most friendly staff!
Each staff member we had contact with showed such pride in their motel.
Jessica at the front desk immediately made us feel welcomed!
Belinda at breakfast was as sunny as the day!

I found this great independent hotel while searching for a relaxing getaway. Let me tell you, it was the best find. The location to me is perfect just over the bridge of lions from historic downtown. We had a balcony room over looking the dock. It was so relaxing to sit and enjoy our coffee. Our room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. They give you complimentary water each day when they clean. I’m not a fan of the local water so this was perfect for me. I will say the bathroom and floors could be cleaner but that would be my only negative. The complimentary breakfast each morning plus the most hospitable and friendly staff was amazing! The berry and ricotta blintz was our go to every morning along with each breakfast dish that changes daily. The chef knows her stuff! You will not leave hungry. The afternoon social hour with delicious appetizers is a delight as well. I can’t recommend this wonderful hotel enough. So much so we booked an extra day.

We had the best stay at Marker 8 last night. Gary (I believe was his name) that greeted us when we arrived was so lovely. While talking with him during check in, my husband and I had mentioned how everything that could go wrong had been going wrong for us all day, and he went above and beyond with talking to us about the area, the hotel, and made us feel so welcomed. The room was great, the view was fantastic, the location can’t be beat, but we would definitely come back again just on the fact of how great he was. His kindness is something we will never forget.
