From Gina and Gary at front desk to Lee in the restaurant, these people were personable, professional and so very pleasant.Breakfast was fabulous. The room and bed comfortable and the views from the balcony gorgeous. Really a perfect, if too short, stay!

Wonderful hotel that definitely seems to be more geared toward adults than kids. Small pool but we weren’t there for that. Excellent location just across the bridge from the historic district. Free parking (I have found this is a major plus in the area!). It takes just a few minutes to walk from here into the historic district with a pleasant walk over the famed Bridge of Lions. Much easier to stay here and enjoin your time in the district than it would be to stay within the district itself. Food was fabulous. Highly recommend and would definitely go back!

This is a newly remodeled hotel that sits just over Lions Bridge on Anastasia Island. The rooms are accessible from the exterior and have sliding glass doors with either patio or balcony overlooking the bay with really nice views of St. Augustine. Staff were all very nice. Provided maps of the area and restaurant recommendations on check-in. All areas were clean. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels, which is a novelty post pandemic. Social hour from 5 to 6 in the lounge with free appetizers. Wine and beer available. Very good breakfast cooked made to order on second floor with great morning views. Laundry and workout room on premises. Nice spa pool and lounging area. Very good restaurants within 2 to 3 minute walking distance. We think this is a great value and location. Recommended you give them a try.Rooms: Clean. Comfortable bed. Great pillows. Nice showers. Free wifi.Nearby activities: Just across the bridge from St. Augustine. The fort is a must. Walk the old city streets. Take a guided tour of the city. The tour guides have to be licensed by the city so they know their history! Don't miss the music on the plaza. Make time to drive to Crescent Beach. Also recommend making to to drive to Salt Springs or Silver Glen Springs. Clearest water I have ever seen ans the snorkeling was so much funWalkability: This is a walkable area. You can walk over the bridge to St Augustine is you like. We drove and then walked the old city. Good restaurants within easy 2 to 3 minute walk if the hotel.Food & drinks: Breakfast is included with tour room. Two speciality breakfast items each morning, or eggs with toast and bacon. All served with fruit. Recommend the roasted potatoes, grits, omelets, and eggs.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast (included) is over the top and their coffee is EXCEPTIONAL, which tells me little things matter to owner/management. Our room was spotless and the king sized bed fantastic. Location is unbeatable...just walk over the bridge right into downtown St Augustine. If you're particular, Marker 8 is for you! Our next stay in St Augustine will be here. 7/31/2023 We were in Jacksonville and needed a hotel for the night. We had such a good experience the last time we drove down to Marker 8. We had an excellent night's sleep and a wonderful breakfast. Free parking and free breakfast make this a good value. Still highly recommend!!

Hotel seems to be under some construction. Our double queen suite was missing a sink. All doors have issues working. Room was clean, but stains visible on rug and arm chair. Our room view and breakfast saved our stay. The breakfast staff were top notch. Very friendly and fantastic service.

Such a wonderful place. The front desk (thank you D.J) couldn't have been more helpful. The balcony with a view of the water and St. Augstine is enchanting as they have the festival of lights still going. Social hour allowed us time to chat with of the people who came up from the marina. It's been a great experience.Walkability: Cross the Bridge of Lions and you're downtown. Not even a 10 minute walkPlenty of interesting restaurants and sites on this side also.

Excellent breakfast options and hosts. Evening social hour has some delish dips and chips. Some staff members need an attitude adjustment.Getting angry at a guest placing wet beach towels on the counter is not nearly "unsanitary" as lipstick on a glass edge served with a beverage in it to a customer.....We were easy going and pleasant under the circumstances but the anger voice tone was humiliating even to my friend who was present at the time.
