I show up to my appointment and am told I have to have a retinal screening done. I told them that I'm under the care of an ophthalmologist and didn't need to have it done. They said it's required by Florida law when a doctor isn't on the premises. I'm sorry, what? There isn't a doctor on the premises??? Nope. Seems I was going to be having a "virtual" eye exam. Yeah that's something that they need to tell people when appointments are made. Felt like a total scam to me. Then of course the machine to do said retinal screening was broken and IT wasn't getting back to them. So after waiting almost an hour I had to reschedule. I went to Visionworks the next day, where I didn't have to have a retinal screening done and where I saw an actual doctor face to face. I can't believe I drove 40 min for a "virtual" exam, would have paid an extra $40 for a test I didn't need, to then not get seen and had to reschedule. Needless to say I will never go to this place again and surely won't be recommending it to anyone either.

Great employees, great service. I will definitely go there for all my eye care, and tell others to go also.

The guy that works here was a complete prick a few of the ladies knew what was going on but some had no clue. The guy was belittling my insurance that my company offers like he was better than everyone there I will not be returning for future purchases.

All of the staff was short and rude. The tension between staff members was palpable. We waited for over an hour and ended up walking out without being seen. We were told we would have to come back on another day for a class to get contacts even though we had booked contact appointments. No one checked on us or let us know what was causing the delay. Severel people came in after us and were immediately taken back for appointments. Worst experience ever at an optometrist office.

I filled out the questionnaire how I was treated there and I have to say it was the worst experience. I have had there in the many years that I’ve been going there. All the staff is new. I originally called to make an appointment. They needed my phone number and name and said I will call you back to schedule because there was somebody standing there at the desk. I never received a call back. I went online to scheduled my appointment. I went in 10 minutes early for 11 o’clock appointment did my paperwork was handed a tray to find frames and I waited did not get called back until 5 to 12. The girl that helped me was very childish and kept fanning herself. Told me this other customer gave her this little kitty cat. No wonder I was an hour late getting in. She then said, well, you know there’s no doctor here no, I did not know that, after her part of the exam, I went into another room and waited. Had a lady come on the television screen and talked and then I finally got to see the eye doctor on the television screen did the rest of my exam. I had to call my neighbor to let my dog out since I was there so long , this other girl comes to help me with my frames very rude told they won’t work. I’ve been wearing bifocals for over 45 years. She kept saying these aren’t gonna work. These aren’t gonna work so I tried the different pair on. I don’t know about these either I’m afraid when I go pick them up they’re not gonna be fitted properly with my bifocals. I had a call from Paula to talk about my comments. I returned the call that night she was gone. I called back today. She was out to lunch. Left a message still have not heard back. I know for sure I won’t be there next year. I’ve never been treated so rudely by pretty much everybody there, so uncalled for so unprofessional.

I had an eye exam at 11:20 today. Still waiting until 12:50 no one cared to get me or explain why it was taking so long to be seen. When I inquired, I got no apologies but more like "how dare I ask" because there was only one person working back there." This was always such a nice office. I'm not sure what happened. Terrible terrible service. When I asked to use the restroom I was told to use the tanning salon next door because their sinks were "blown off" by the plumbers who werepairingthe toilets. Long story short I had them c ancel my appointment because I did not trust them any longer to check my eyes.

My daughter and niece drove all the way from Seville to this place because we were referred by my daughters insurance. When they arrived no one greeted them or acknowledged them until my niece spoke up and asked for help and even then she had to wait for them to finished talking before someone could help them. The gentleman that assisted my daughter with choosing her glasses was rude and telling her what she needed to get because the one she chose were not to his liking and that she needed to get another type of glasses that would cost her money. My daughter had to tell him multiple times after him being very pushy and rude that she needed to chose what her insurance covered but he wouldn’t listen. He even made a comment telling her that he looks at girls all time and he knows what looks good on them. He then asked his coworker to just come help my daughter because my daughter was not listening to him. My daughter then calls me upset telling me all this and I had to tell her to just leave. We will be reporting them to the insurance for poor customer service and how they were being pushy so my daughter would have to pay for glasses.

We had scheduled, set- up and explained the need for an ASL Interpreter. We came in early to do paperwork and wait for the interpreter. We were told they forgot to hire an interpreter and then realized it was for the wrong time. So they called the agency to see if the interpreter can come in earlier. We can give grace, of course. It then spiraled to “sense you need the interpreter”- let me explain, an interpreter is for both parties, not just for the Deaf client. Did they actually have one scheduled? Then: “sense we are squeezing you in, I will take your child back to do pre-assessments”, this is without language access for my child. I stated I was not comfortable with that and they replied- “well if we don’t we will be back-logged”. These phrases from this staff show the lack of knowledge on the importance of language and history of the Deaf community. Then- “well can you interpret for him”- again an inappropriate request. I am mom for one, not an interpreter who knows the registers for medical terminology. How do I know the assessment will be accurate- they do not understand the liability? Why do I have to bring this up to explain the seriousness of it? Again, we are seen as a liability and as too much trouble. These situations happen everywhere. It is wrong. My child sitting there with no dignity and waiting for me to explain what is happening. He has a full and amazing language. Yes, as a family we are always working to give language. In this situation, we worked ahead of time to request an interpreter, like we always do wherever we go. Let alone it being in the ADA. Would you know what my child is saying when he is using his language to communicate with you? How is that a safe situation to put my child in, doing a pre-assessment for your benefit because you will be back-logged and now we are being squeezed in. We had an appointment scheduled.Educate your staff and business on language deprivation and etiquette related to the Deaf community. You have Florida School for the Deaf in your town, bring them in and be educated. There are amazing Deaf adults in this area who can educate and explain the history and needs. This situation showed this business needs be willing to understand their clients. We took our business else where and will not be coming again. I had to work for hours after explaining why you advocate for yourself and not allow this type of oppression to continue.

This place has really gone down in service quality over the past year. My family and I have been patients for three years at this location, but I think a recent shift in staff has made the place just terrible. I’m a “three strikes and you’re out” kind of person when it comes to service providers because it’s such a pain to find a new office and optometrist, etc. Suffice to say, My Eye Dr is OUT!I will share only the most recent poor experience: My husband took our daughter in last Friday and were rudely told by the receptionist they didn’t have an appointment when trying to check in. Rather than checking the schedule, she argued with my husband. When he assured her they did in fact have an appointment (which they arrived for fifteen minutes early) and asked her to check again, she did and without apology said she could see the appointment now. After completing the paperwork to say nothing had changed (insurance, address, etc.) they sat and waited. And waited. And waited. Staff began to turn off lights and some left for the day. Still waiting. After 45-minutes with no acknowledgment, they left, too. You don’t care about your patients? No problem, we will never be back. Would give zero stars if I could.

The person who did my eyes did a very good job. Therefore the person who did my glasses was not very experienced. I wasn’t too happy with my glasses. The girl that sold me these glasses told me they were good glasses and they would hold up their frames crackle and bend and I have to keep going back to the eye doctor they have them adjusted so when I get glasses next time I will not go there.

Time to find a new eye doctor. I have been going here for almost 15 years, and it’s always been an easy and enjoyable experience. Earlier this year I had gone in for a contact appointment to get a new annual supply of contacts. I did the exam and they wanted me to try a new kind of contact for astigmatism they said may be more comfortable. They ordered me trials, and then I came back in a week or two to get them. I wore them for a week or two to see if I can get used to them, but after a couple weeks I just liked my old pair better. I told them I wanted to order my old pair and they had me come in wearing my current contacts to make sure they still fit my eye ok still. Afterwards, they placed the order. Fast forward months, and I’m grabbing my contacts at home and see I’m almost out, and realized I never got my new order. I called to inquire and they had no clue what was going on. The first person I talked to said that she couldn’t even find the order. She said she’d call me back. She then called back and said the order was picked up on 8/4. I told her that was impossible because I was out of town that week. She seemed confused herself and said she would have someone else call me back. I get a call back and I’m told that they were just marked as delivered. I asked when and she couldn’t tell me. I asked for a tracking number and she didn’t have one. I told her if they were shipped there is no way they shouldn’t have a tracking number. She said I could make another order but it would have to go through my insurance. I wasn’t paying another $700 for contacts I never received. I said I need a tracking number or I was going to dispute the charge with my bank. She said she’d call back. She calls back and gives me a tracking number. I go online and enter the tracking number and it says it’s either invalid or since more than 120 days went by I can’t get the tracking information. I’m not even bothering calling back as they were zero help. Basically you’re S.O.L mentality. I never received my ordered. After 15 years I will be finding a more organized eye doctor. I understand they went through an entire staffing change earlier this year, and not for the better. It’s not my fault their disorganization caused my contacts to go MIA. Very disappointed as I used to love going there. So I guess I’m just out of an annual subscription, and I’ll be wearing glasses until I find a new doctor.

It's my first time here and while the wait may be long due to being under staffed, the customer service is impeccable !!! From Jennifer at the front desk to Katie to Nicole the service was amazing. Nicole actually went out to my vehicle to get my Cane which I left behind.I had terrible back spasms during my visit and all staff were very attentive. I thank you all for your kindness. ?❤️

Do not go here. Showed up for my appointment. I am in an wheelchair and the lady working the front desk would not even talk to me. 45 minutes after my original appointment time I was finally seen which guaranteed I would not be able to look at glasses. All of the employees out front were in a hurry to leave for the day. We went to another store to pick out glasses (Palm Coast) where they were extremely helpful. Afterwards we noticed that they had given me someone else's paperwork. A clear HIPPA violation and not only that it was entered in the system under me. Had we not caught it my prescription would have been completely off. Go to a different location. They don't care about their patients here
