Came in for ear drops and Dr Young found my dog had heart arrhythmia. Then after tests we found tumor on spleen. Withing 2 weeks we had surgery and removed. Now she's fully recovered and all was benign. DR YOUNG SAVED OUR DOG. they could have gave us ear drops and sent us on but he did proper health check while in and found it. Thank you

Today my pup had a medical situation that needed to be addressed ASAP. Palencia Pet Clinic hit the ground running, making sure Bentley was evaluated and treated without hesitation!!! We are so blessed to have found them just a few months ago. Dr. Franz is so amazing!! She took my Bentley like he was her own and explained what needed to be done, and went above and beyond with so much compassion!!! The entire staff was so supportive and empathetic, and for that I am grateful!! Thank you to all who helped us today, we appreciate it more than you will ever know!! Love and Hugs from Amy, Scott and BENTLEY!!!♥️♥️♥️

I took my dog to a simple nail trim and hair paws trim, an anal gland expression and I was charged 69$. When I called to ask for the prices I was told it was 19 the nails and that included the hair trimming as well (which I thought it was reasonable) and the gland expression 25, when I got there I didn’t check the price because I was sure of what I asked over the phone, when I was going to pay they tell me it was 69 dollars, which I paid, mad about the situation, but paid anyways. When I got home I noticed my dog had the nails like nothing was cut, one nail was bleeding and the hair on top of the paws was intact, they only trimmed the bottom. Terrible job. Wouldn’t recommend taking the dog there for these things.

Free first examination was very limited. Basically only a couple of the following was done.
A weight check. Vet didn’t use any instruments during the examination.
Measuring body temperature and pulse and respiratory rates
A complete physical examination, which includes
Observing the puppy move around the exam room
Looking at the whole body including the eyes, ears, nose, feet, nails, skin, coat and genitalia
Opening the mouth to observe the teeth, gums and other structures
Checking the eyes and ears with instruments that provide light and magnification
Palpating (using hands to feel) the lymph nodes, joints and organs within the abdomen
Using a stethoscope to listen to the heart and lungs
Checking reflexes.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately I was expecting a full first puppy check up. Very disappointed.

Never EVER take your pet here. Had a 10am appointment for a simple nail trim. Got there at 9:30. They took dog back at 9:45. Brought him back at 9:55 and said we were only able to trim 3 out of 4 paws so you’ll have to reschedule. I said I’ve never even heard of that and he’s had his nails trimmed at many different places. So then the doctor comes out and says “yeh the girls had a hard time so you’ll have to reschedule. This was their own doctor!!!! Not some young girl behind the desk. I said why can’t you just let me hold him to get the one paw done since it shouldn’t take less than a minute. She said they were busy and I’d have to reschedule. There was literally one other dog there. If they can’t do a simple nail trim with at least one doctor there, only do 3 of 4 paws and then want you to reschedule when it’s still 5 minutes before your scheduled time, you definitely should not take your pet there. Just when you think you’ve seen it all. THIS!!! I cannot even make this stuff up. Unbelievable!!! What vet can’t even do a simple nail trim, only do three paws, and then the doctor tell you to reschedule when it’s 9:55 and your appointment isn’t until 10? They had one paw left and it was still 5 minutes before my appointment time!!! Has his nails trimmed in 4 other different states and never had a problem. Again, when a vet can’t even do a nail trim, do NOT take your pet there.

Brought our new German Shepherd puppy in for her first visit, and they were amazing. We have two older dogs and our current vet was just not up to our expectations and found Palencia Pet Clinic and decided to give them a try for our new family member. I am so happy we did. They were so kind and explained everything she needed for her first visit. Our little girl loved them and did so well. Their prices are amazing, facility is beautiful and staff amazing. Definitely top notch! Thank you for taking such great care of our baby and soon our other two as well!

It makes me sad to write a negative review on a vet we have used for years, but unfortunately I would not advise anyone who loves their animals to allow them to be treated here. We have used Palencia Pet Clinic for 5 years for our German Shepherd and 2 years for our Great Dane. The front office staff has always been friendly, but sadly the Veterinarians are negligent and the owners just truly do not care. We took our Great Dane here to get neutered and paid $550 for the surgery. They advised us to unwrap the bandage on his leg 30 minutes after getting home, but when we got home my husband noticed that they left the catheter in our dogs leg. When we called them back they asked us to bring him back in, but as I mentioned he is a 125 pound Great Dane who now has an unbandaged catheter in his leg, we cant exactly get him into a car. My husband ends up removing it himself and not only was it a bloody mess, it is extremely worrisome because if it would have been me home alone i would have fully trusted to do what we were advised to do (unbandage) and assumed the catheter should still be there. One of my dogs could have pulled it out or swallowed it. The next day the Vet called asking us if we needed more medication for him, but provided no apology for the oversight. I wrote them an email two days after the surgery requesting a refund as we were not provided the full extent of the service and instead were met with a bloody mess and two panicked dog owners. We were contacted by their Operations Director who said they are changing their policy so that no dogs leave with bandages, why? because you do not trust that your Veterinarians can do their jobs and remember to remove a catheter???? It has now been 2 weeks today and we were offered a $30 refund after getting the run around for days. It is my understanding this decision was made by the owners, who seem to only care about money. I spoke with many other people about the issue who explained that Vets have been sued over something like this and the offices always do their best to avoid this. I have filed a formal complaint with the Florida DBPR.

I had to share a great experience at Palencia Pet Clinic for us and Dewey! (the dog.) We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and it was smooth sailing from there. Everyone was polite, helpful and professional, This visit was a dental appointment and yesterday, a grooming. Dr. Franz took plenty of time to explain everything about the procedure with Lindsay assisting.
Yesterday we tried grooming there and were pleasantly surprised how great Dewey looked after Erin took extra good care of him.
Happy Campy

They are very sweet with my baby. Unfortunately I was very late due to traffic / train and I apologized as I walked in. the front desk lady was very nice and said it is ok but then someone else came out and she just treated me very poorly and went on to scold me about being late right there in front of everyone. Not the right way to treat anyone. Not the way to talk to another adult. Not the words to use when this is my first time being late. Now All they had to do was as give my dog some medicine and that was it less than a minute. Ironic. It took her longer to scold me.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. The facility is beautiful and the doctors are amazing. We’ve see Dr Young before (he’s awesome) and this morning we met with Dr Sarah Franz. She is kind, caring and put me at ease. I’m thankful that my dog is under her care. Thanks so much, Sarah!

I cannot express how grateful I am for this place!! My mom called Jenna who said to bring my boy Cooper there asap as we were leaving the night time emergency vet and that I would be in good hands. GREAT HANDS we were in! Dr. Young and the entire staff went over and beyond to save my Coopers life and I am forever thankful!! I’ve found our new vet and will never look back. Jenna, Dr. Young, my 2 vet techs (I’m sorry I don’t recall their names), and every person who helped me and Cooper went OVER AND BEYOND!! Im so thankful and cannot recommend this vet enough!!!
