I had my standard poodle ‘Buzz’ groomed at Pet Camp by their new groomer yesterday. She did a fantastic job! He looks beautiful and smells even better. Ears, nail, all done to perfection. Thank you Silke for finding a real professional to groom our pups. Joanne thank you again!

We've been using Pet Camp for years and our golden retrievers have the best time. It's the only place we've found that allows dogs to run outside and have fun. It's spacious and they treat them well.

Pet Camp isn't just a name, it is actually a place we feel good about taking our beloved pet. From arrival (where he is greeted by his fellow campers on the shaded, open camp grounds) to departure, we are confident that our buddy is in good hands away from home. No additional upcharge nonsense, more bang for the buck than we could have hoped for. If I were a dog, I'd be asking my humans to take me to Pet Camp!

Silke is a true professional dog trainer. Great information. Wonderful class activity level without fatigue. Dogs become students and respond to instruction. Awesome facility! A must for serious dog owners. We are happy Dog Campers!

Was looking to board my 3 dogs here but based off of the absolutely incorrect information about pitbull/bully breeds I will not be boarding. You might want to do some research and stop spreading misinformation.Update in response:Pit bulls do not have locking jaws. And they were originally bred as nanny dogs because they are so good natured and are amazingwith children. I will not delete my review as I was going to use your services but instead due to the breed they are denied access to your business because of your misinformation about the breed. Also I do not own a business so again you are misinformed

Boarded my dog after a long absence due to the pandemic. The quality and care of the staff continues to be excellent even with all they have to deal with during this time of masks and separation. Their love for dogs is evident and I'm confident my dog is well cared for.

Absolutely love this place! We started going to Pet Camp 15 years ago when we first moved to St. Augustine. Our current 3-year-old rescue dog LOVES going for daycare and training. He always gets a great welcome from Aubree and Mariah and I can tell how much he adores them. He’s a great judge of character. So, we leave our boy knowing he’s going to be well-cared for and will have the best day!He gets bathed once/week at Pet Camp to help manage his allergies and he’s a champ about it. (This coming from a dog who had been very hesitant about getting his nails trimmed and being bathed when we first adopted him). We look forward to picking him up at the end of his fun day. Although I have to say, sometimes he seems to regret having to leave his friends. He sleeps the whole way home. The training with Silke is top notch! It is fun, positive, supportive and effective. She listens to my concerns and comes up with a plan that works best for us. Our dog is large and might be considered an unlikely candidate for agility training but he has taken to it with much pleasure. You might see the goofy smile on his face when he walks the A-frame or the teeter. (He secretly wishes Aubree could see him :) ). We have a great time with Silke. It’s a highlight of our week. I can’t thank Silke enough for her wisdom in educating me on dog training and bonding!

Our Aussie was attacked by another dog while boarded at Pet Camp. We were not notified when it happened nor were we told about the attack when we picked her up. Since our dog has long hair, we didn't notice the wounds until the next day when we could smell them because they had become infected. When notified that our dog had been attacked, Mariah at Pet Camp claimed that she was unaware of the attack and asked us to send pictures, even though she had bathed our dog just before we picked her up. We sent pictures of the wounds (taken at the vet's office the day after picking her up from Pet Camp) along with the veterinary invoices from Antigua for the wound treatment and antibiotics. The veterinarian indicated that the cause of her wounds was from being bit multiple times by another dog. However, the owner of Pet Camp, Silke Royer, tried to deny that our dog was ever bit and even had the nerve to suggest that the bite wounds were caused by an insect. She then absurdly claimed that she has partial hearing loss from our dog barking and went on to remind us that we signed a waiver of liability when we dropped off our dog for boarding and that she is not taking any responsibility.

UPDATE: The owner reached out to offer an apology for the miscommunication and disorganization.I am new to St Augustine I am giving two stars is because my dogs are back home.My experience began on 3/12/22. When I arrived to drop my two dogs off it was pouring down rain. When I walked in there's wasn't anyone in the building. So, I stood waiting patiently. The first person I saw was a woman who was angrily slamming a door and yanking on leashes that were hung on a wall. I spoke to her trying to make small talk. But, she did not speak to me and slammed the door as she left. The next person who arrived greated me and seemed very overwhelmed. She asked if I had filled out the required paperwork. Which I had the week prior and emailed in. I explained based on their hours that our friends would be picking up our dogs on 3/19/22. So, I needed to pay for the weeks services before I left. She explained that they were having credit card machine issues and asked that I write out my credit card information on the printed out registration paperwork. Which I did. She then took my dogs off of their leashes and collars and ushered them upstairs. When she returned she said I was good to go. So, I left. While I was leaving I realized she had placed my dogs in the pouring down rain. They were standing outside with no cover. I went to my car and debated on going to get them. But, gave them the benefit of the doubt based on reviews. On 3/19 my friends arrived to pick up my pups after a weeks stay. When she arrived she tried to open the door to come in and the door was slammed in her face. There was no explanation as to why. So she stood outside and waited for them to allow her in. Once Inside she was promoted to pay for the services. After, I had already provided my credit card information. Once, she explained she thought I had paid, she was told they would reach out to me for payment. (When I arrived home and checked my back account there was a pending charge) When they gathered up my dogs and their items they forgot their leashes and collars. When my friend asked about their collars, she was told they couldn't remember which ones belonged to my pups. So, my friend left without their leashes and collars. When I arrived home on Saturday to realize their collars and leashes were missing I immediately called and left a voicemail describing both the collars and leashes. For one of my dogs his collar has his name embroidered on it. I never received a phone call. By, Saturday(3/19) evening both of my dogs began to cough. The coughing has only gotten worse. On Monday (3/21), the first day they were open, I arrived at the kennel at 9am to retrieve both the collars and leashes. When I arrived I was again greeted by a very unfriendly woman who explained she tried to call me. Which she had not. And, she said she had looked everywhere and couldn't find their leashes and collars. She blamed a new employee for giving them to the wrong family. When I became agitated and said, the collars and leashes were here when I dropped them off. I want them back, she reluctantly went upstairs to look "again". She found them! Then she blamed me for not being able to find the leashes and collars because when I dropped my pups off I had everything in a large IKEA bag. She never not one time apologized for any inconvenience nor did she take responsibility for the mishap. She told me I should have given them an itemized list of what was left with them.I told her not to worry, there wouldn't be a next time.Fast forward until today (3/22). The coughing hasn't stopped. So, both dogs went to a local vet. Where they were both diagnosed with Kennel Cough. Both, dogs were vaccinated against kennel cough prior to boarding. Which I provided during the egistration paperwork process. The vet bill for both dogs was $589.I am hopeful that I can help someone else not make the same decision based on reviews.I will not be returning.
