Second Read Books is a small, intimate, and eclectic gem of a used bookstore in the heart of St. Augustine's historic district, behind Flagler College. It has been in business for 30 years and enjoys a great following. The shop has a friendly, welcoming, and cozy atmosphere with a kind of treasure hunt feel. Books are in marvelous condition and are organized by topic, displayed in short stacks. While not strictly alphabetized, the fun is in browsing to find your next read. The shop offers a great selection of gently used books at discounted and great prices. It does not have a lot of new inventory, but the selections can broaden your horizons. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely sweet. They are accommodating and will hold purchases while customers enjoy the city. The shop even offers a credit system for donated books. It is open seven days a week with hours that cannot be matched. Second Read Books is one of those hidden gems you wish you could find in every town and is highly recommended for bookworms and casual readers alike.
Great to find something you didn’t know you were looking for. They don’t have a lot of new inventory but still a great selection.

Such a cute little used bookstore to just drop in and see what's available. I was able to find a book after browsing. Great store!
